Man I really appreciate it - it is trending to the east so that would spare us - but it will definitely rain a lot at a minimum. I am in a flood zone so by Friday/Saturday I will know if all my electronics need to be elevated and covered.
Devlin85 - i hope you do OK - I know there is already flooding south of Saint Petersburg

There is a 2nd storm right behind this huge storm Irma.
Those poor people on the islands are going to be devastated.
The lower Eastern USA will be too, depending the path of these two storms.
Not looking good at all.

Worse storm than Andrew in '92, per some commentary.
My Grandpa "got to ride that one out", my Sis gets to ride this one out.
Grandpa was on the West Coast near Punta Gorda though, Sis used to live in Miami but moved north fairly close to Cape Canaveral - I haven't been able to get ahold of her, but I hope she's moving somewhere else temporarily since her place is only a mile or two from the beach....

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

I know the Tampa St. Pete area had to evacuate for Erma, hope Robby is ok.
Robby pop in and let us know you're ok.
My kids made it out ok and are up here until early next week.
Their school is closed at least until Monday. Still being used as a shelter.
Sure made a mess of Fl., and not to forget Tx. and the mess Harvey made.
There are other states as well impacted with flood damage. Going to take years to full recover.
In our thoughts and prayers.

Made it back home and the house was as good as we left it - no wind damage and no flood and no power - just got it back today
I am thankful and hope i do not have to deal with that again - they pushed us out first due to the flood probability but I was more worried about wind. Stores here look like they were robbed - not much on the shelves - I thought I was going to see a fistfight waiting for gas but I am happy to be home and now with power!!!!

Sis is OK, the shift to the "other coast" appears to have saved her from a chance of her home getting seriously damaged.

Anyone have their 1080ti or 1080 when crunching drop to 1480mhz? Was at 1911 or 1925-1950
Not sure why it happens. Does not always do it, even does it when the temps are fine and seems to be running well.
I have it at 1873 right now GPUgrid.  It does not always do it. Figured it needed more V so I put the slider all the way up.
It is getting more volts and power set to 117 and 90c. Not running hot 55-60c
Using EVGA newest Px, did it with the last 2 versions
378.92 driver on the 1080Ti

Ideas?

I see Moo! and Asteroids do this, it is like a pause in their app but then goes back up.

I've noticed my 1080ti seems to drop to 14xx or low 15xx range briefly when I have been running the actual DNet client and it finishes a work unit, I would suspect it's the same reason for Moo.

I'd guess it's "I'm not boosting 'cause I have a tiny work load, but since the monitor is attached I can't go all the way back to idle" logic out of the GPU control circuitry.

I am playing with hard drives, SATAIII SSD vs PCIEv2 SSD vs PCIE-NVME VS a RAM drive on x58 and x79 systems
Should be the same on newer systems as well
Thing is, tasks can vary in time to finish on the same computer. Same project tasks are not always the same.
PG primes can be xxxxx+1 or xxxxx-1 and the time will not be the same.
So, my question is, what program can I test the same task/work unit over and over with different computer setups?

On long tasks with the ramdrive (blazing fast reads and writes) really seems to make a difference.
Hard to say exactly how much.

I mentioned before a 1080Ti running at 1840 I left it for a while and it goes back to 19xx
Not sure if it is a auto up and down as per the load.
I did notice running PG genfer 17 tasks, the difference from 19xx at 1080v and 1480 at 800 was not a whole lot.
The GPU ran at 35c rather than 50c too Saving on heat load and electric used.
Guess I will try lowering the clocks and volt slider and see what happens.

I would think as long as they are not going to Zero you are ok.
In General my 1080 run well at 2012 and my Ti at 2062 and my two first ones at 2126.
For PG I drop the Ti 20 and seem to run well and my 1080 I drop them 30 in PXOC.
For GPUGRD I drop 30 and 40 in PXOC. I do exit PXOC once set. (-20 and -25)
Max Voltage on the Slider and Max Power and Temp with the Priority to the Temp.
I notices this week that my GTX 1080 & Ti Cards do not run hot enough to heat my house anymore.
Looks like this Winter I will be able to close my windows
