adorama is a gamble, i am on back order with them too but i don't think its worth it really.
Why not "worth it"?
They dont charge you until it ships. I mean, actually having been able to PLACE AN ORDER at all is already better than what the foreseeable future holds trying to get one here or anywhere else for that matter. Worst case you do actually manage to get one somewhere else and simply cancel the Adorama back order.
you could be waiting months.

Technically that's true, but bots will have a much higher chance of scoring. When something comes in stock, such as 3080 launch day, and you don't even see the "Add to Cart" button before it out of stock, then yeah, bots kind of have an advantage here.

sold my 2080TI FTW3 ULTRA two weeks ago for $700 , now I am on this list for my new card. Meanwhile I dont have a card, so just bought a 2070 super at bestbuy for $499, with a 30 day return policy 😉 😜 so here's to hopefully getting are orders filled before I have to return my 2070 👌

Already addressed this concern a page or two ago. Anyone who ordered cards from German Amazon after they were still in stock for hours should have know their order would get canceled.

did you buy a longer return policy? because their standard return policy is 15 days.

Just a FYI I spoke with a nice lady at Adorama , I was able to ask her if they just accepted orders for the stock that they had coming in ,to which she replied yes that is what they did, they only accepted orders for the allotted stock that they had coming.and no I didn't ask her if she had a ETA on the cards because she's probably been asked that a hundred times and everyone knows that she doesn't

I figured that. But how can they know they've been allotted a specific amount, but have no idea WHEN? That part doesn't make sense. Seems like EVGA, or whoever their supplier is, would have a rough ETA before being able to say "ok, we can give you X amount".
