Just got my backorder email, the new order number they gave me was 545 (original was 777)

it was about 11:36 am on Friday thats what time I got my confirmation email I just checked

I have my ftw3 ultra ordered @ 8:05AMPST, order# 761
markuaw1 ftw3 ultra ordered @ 8:36AMPST, order#  767
Heavenswake ftw3 ultra ordered @ 8:27AMPST, order# 777
theblues_1905 ftw3 ultra ordered @ 7:35AMPST  order# 314
 
The times and order# do not have any correlation as order# 777 was ordered earlier than #767
 
Also, the follow up email regarding the gpus still being in backorder at Adorama refer to a different order number, mine ending in 755 and markuaw1 ending in 115
 
Nothing to make of the information it seems  
 

Yeah that is what it's looking like the number has no meaning as far as what we are trying to figure out.

I’m not sure it means anything but I didn’t receive any kind of follow up email today about the item being back ordered (as of now at least). Only email I got from them was the confirmation order a few minutes after I placed the ordered.

It does say “back ordered” in my account under orders though. I just want this card already lol

My email showed up hours after others got theirs, so who knows

I received my backorder email 30 minutes ago so give them time. 

Anyone else get this email earlier? My hope climbed Everest and then immediately fell off the top

Well this will be the first place I go Thursday for a 3090....

Also have an original order number and a backorder number.  The original number still shows up in my account, not the backorder #.

Where do you see the two numbers? I only see the one order number that starts with an A. 

In the backorder email sent in the last 24 hours.  I'm pretty sure your original order number is the real order number.  Seems like they are assigning a secondary "backorder order number", lol.

I'm a little late to the party here, but I did call Adorama and spoke with a rep. I preordered as soon as this page was up. They confirmed that they only took backorders for the amount they know they can get and that it's essentially confirmed you'll get one if you were able to checkout. However, they had no comment on any ETA - makes sense, considering EVGA hasn't given an official release date yet.

However, they had no comment on any ETA - makes sense, considering EVGA hasn't given an official release date yet.

Hopefully it works out for y'all doing that preorder. I will be sticking to this site and newegg for now. I just picture so many people pre-ordering will cause massive delays unless they are getting a huge stock pile when the next shipment arrives.
But I guess there's nothing to lose doing it, we are all in the same boat and without 3080s at this rate lol.

Whew. People duking it out earlier. Looks like I still gotta rely on EVGA.
 
By the way, chat support is hilariously dense or some kind of bot.

I'll take this week.  They could be on a pallet in a truck on their way to Adorama in NYC right now.  The fact that the "backorder order numbers" are close together is a good sign, mine is right in the mix, so along with the reported gradual decrease of inventory and no DDOS-like activity on the site at the time, I'm guessing the bots may not have gotten to them during those pre-orders.

I would be ecstatic if I got tracking info this week!

Yeah no though, I'm just taking the longshot.  It could be anything.  But Adorama is big enough to get pallets of them and you figure there would have to be 50-100+ per pallet  Or maybe they got a couple dozen. So who knows.
