Nice. My RMA card is on the way. I might switch to my old emergency 980 Ti SC card in the meantime - I can't even play Civ V without it crashing after a while on this 3090 now, even on default clocks. :(

Was this some that deteriorated over time? Any theories as to what caused the instability?

Copied from another thread; Short black screens to start with. Thought I got it fixed but then it started crashing out of games even on default stock clocks, and not particularly heavy games either - Civilization V for one (yes, the version that came out in 2010), same with rendering, and even photoshop crashed to desktop, some crashes were full resets, another was BSOD.. and all with no overclocking. I even changed PSU and did a full fresh install of Windows, but it continued. Hope the replacement card is better.

Did a few PR benches and its running about the same as my original card. This card crashed at +175 core while the other could do +200. Card runs a bit warmer as the other as well. Hitting 60 in game, but it is a bit warmer now compared to when I tested the original card. This card gave me a scare when I launched The Division 2. After about 2 minutes fans went full blast and display went dark. I could still hear the game so I reset the display driver, but that didnt fix it. I was afraid to force the shut down as after that the other card never recovered. This one did recovery after the shut down. Only thing I had messed with to play was the power slider. I set it to 107%. I made sure everything was on stock values, did steps 7-10 of the following thread ( https://forums.evga.com/Basic-troubleshooting-steps-Windows-clean-boot-clean-driver-install-debug-mode-etc-m2504606.aspx) and ran game again. This time I played for about an hour with no issues. A few random stutters happened at 2 different points. Going to mess some more with settings tomorrow.

That is very disconcerting. I wonder what div 2 is doing. I have been playing shadow of the tomb raider for the past week without too many issues. 1440p maxed settings. What res are you running?

I like the card. Was a very tight fit in my case. It runs 20+ degrees cooler than my 2080ti. Yeah I saw that we are the only ones. I deleted all my old scores and starting new with the replacement. I saw someone made a sheet in there for the XC3 hybrid and inputed their ingo. Hopefully others join in. Feel free to link the spreadsheet on the first post.

Maybe, it's currently 22C in room and card is at 67C on the division 2 max settings. I'll do some more benchmarking tomorrow. I did get extended warranty and another advanced RMA in case it dies in the future.

I'll take a screen of mine in Tomb Raider tommorow, it is not a direct comparison but looking at ratios between the different temperature points could give you some indication if there's a issue in temperature balance across the card.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Messed with fan curves a bit and got it down to 60C with minimal fan noise. I could increase the fans some more but the point of the hybrid in my opinion is to minimize fan noise. For those of you wondering fan 1 is the fans on the rad and fan 2 is the one on the card.

Were the temps you reported on auto for fans? Or did you have a custom curve prior? Mine are on auto and it is quite a bit louder then my Titan Xp with 1080Ti hybrid kit. That is the one aspect of the 3090 does make me sad.

It was on auto and could barely hear the fans. Also, I swapped out the fans to corsair ml120s. I'm sure that plays a role in all this.

Interesting! I should let you hear mine while gaming. If they are providing less cooling then stock fans then VRM(mem might be cooled by aio) should be about the same as mine with elevated gpu due to changed rad fans.

My hybrid is broken or something I'm hitting a hard 400 watt power limit even with sliders increased. And xoc bios 500 watt.

There are quite a number of folks with that same/similar issue. Most reporting the issue have the air cooled ver. of our cards(though I am unsure it that matters). With the normal bios on the OC setting I tend to pull 430-450W during Port royal depending on OC. I do get into the 440s when under hvy load. What is your max and average power draw during Port Royal? How about your PR scores? I would be happy to run some test to give you concrete numbers. Perhaps starting at stock and moving to a light OC. FYI: I have never used the XOC, I am not comfortable with the beta aspect of it.

So if I run port with oc (+190 core and 1200 mem) i only get 13650 in port with a max power draw of 400...pcie draw is 82-83 (really high) Also my boost is only 1980 core highest with this oc If i play cod i can actually see overclocks (+120 core) i get 2100 mhz (sounds about right) but card only is at 380 watt power draw ( because if the game) With the same +120 in port royal or heaven i get 1960 mhz on core and hit 400 watt power draw It's like my card can't go beyond 400 watts. Possible because of the pcie balancing Thanks

Been lurking here quite a bit. Got my FTW3 Hybrid up and running. Did a run on the XOC bios with +100 core and +800 mem and +50 voltage, only got about 13,650 port royal score. I was hitting power limits in GPU-Z under the PerfCap Reason section. Was seeing nice even power draw between all 3 x 8 pin connectors though. Max board use on GPU-Z was about 460-465W. (I did see a fluke 505W when running MSI kombuster when i tabbed out of the program, but nothing sustained this high). However, the card was throttling the core clock pretty hard, frequently under 2000 mhz during the run despite ~55C. Decided to take the redpill and try XC3 bios... First run on +85 core and +900 mem was 14,301. First try! No other tweaking... Core clocks were avg 2051, and max set was 2085. I also ran another benchmark on MSI Kombuster, where I previously had a score of 5870, I now scored 6126, and a change of 5 more FPS. https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/54779321? Needless to say, it's pretty sad the XOC BIOS throttles so heavily, it seems extremely conservative as my temps were fine. I don't really want to run the jury-rigged XC3 BIOS all the time, and I don't want to update firmware when I open precision X1 because I'll probably go back to the stock OC BIOS soon anyways. Hopefully EVGA figures out this mess and releases a final version of the OC/XOC bios that will really be able to leverage the horsepower this card can put down.

that sounds like the issue i have... The xc3 bios is working with the hybrid? Or do you have the xc3 hybrid bios? Thank you
