The only air-cooled BIOS I have is for the XC3 Ultra.  While I don't expect issues if your flashed that to an XC3 card, I'm also going to play devil's advocate here and suggest that you wait for our team to provide a BIOS specifically for the XC3 cards.  Assuming the general trend follows, the card will pull more power and be able to also hit higher clocks, which might be a bit out of the XC3's range.  Maybe not.  But I'd rather you wait until our team at least confirms to me that there will be a BIOS for each card.

Any insight as to whether or not validated FTW3 HC BIOS will be released?

If more test subjects are required - my 3080Ti XC3 HC is still available... Otherwise, I guess I'll wait when it gets public release (if ever).
I really need a little higher GPU score to beat some guy in Time Spy Extreme... :P

e-mail 3090OC@evga.com for that. I bet you'll get it quicker. Or... Just flash the techpowerup one 

I thought that e-mail address was for 3090 BIOS only. Also, I’ve never used invalidated BIOS, but I know that TechPowerUp is pretty well known. I just don’t want to start having problems where none exist currently is all it boils down to. Then again, I suppose I could try the one you linked on one of my cards BIOS.

It's a risk I have taken time and time again in the past and never had issues, but YMMV. Also, when I wanted the Hybrid Bios for my conversion, I had to e-mail 3090OC, which I thought was weird but sounds like the team handles BIOses also. 
 
But anyways, I used the unverified to flash my 3080 FTW3 and then the official one came out and it literally just flashed the same bios over again lol.

Great news for those with those cards. Any hope for similar changes to the Onsemi non-ti 3080 FTW's with the same issue?

Wasn’t there supposed to be a 3080 Ti BIOS update for the display port 1.4 problem with PX1 1.2.3?

This is already available through PX1 in the method I described above.

I know I gave you and EVGA a hard time on this. It's very much appreciated that you addressed this issue, the integrity of EVGA stood tall again.

I ask because my 3080 Ti FTW3 didn’t update when I installed PX1 1.2.3 days ago when the version was released.

The new bios is going to put overclocked 3080 ti xc3 users neck and neck with the 3090 cards... Im within 500pts of most 3090s in Timespy gpu score now.... Cant wait to try this fw out.. 😍

If your card is performing that good, you should leave it alone. This bios puts the 3080 Ti XC3 cards on par with the 3080 Ti FE card at best.

what is your score?  I have not even tried to overclock mine.

Amazing news! I also got a brand new 3080Ti XC3 Ultra recently (3955). Looks like I made the right choice after all. EVGA still holds the rep high. I'll post some results once the new bios gets released.

Couldn't read all 24 pages yet ... but it seemed to be insinuated in the other locked thread that this issue also effects 3070ti xc3 ... was it ever figured out if it does? The bios updates are only for 3080ti right?

I've been lurking this thread for a while, so happy to hear an update is coming for all 3080 Ti XC3 models. I'm anxiously awaiting the update for my 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra!
 
On another note, is there any chance of an update that would allow cards access to more power if they're not powering fans/leds?

you'll be able to access the full 366W (if PL set to 105%) no matter if you have fans or LEDs or not. My HC card has no fans and LED off and it can pull all of it if I allow it.
