I received my 3080 TI XC3 Gaming, and I have some questions.
 
1) What tests should I run to see if my card actually come with the power cap?
 
2) What temps do you consider are normal/fine for this card (air cooling one)? Do you recommend me to change thermal pads or something to improve cooling? (not WC)
 
3) Do you guys purchased 3Dmark from Steam (29.99) to run the Time Spy benchmark? Is it worth it? Is it not free anymore?

Go into your motherboard bios, turn off Fast Boot and CSM. Download and install the latest Precision X1, run it so it will update your card on the first use of PX1. If you don't get an update then go to the Re-Bar section and check to see what bios is on the card. If you have the 12G-P5-3953-KR card the bios number should look like this.

dang. these are great instructions. i noticed my 3080ti xc3 is much slower than other brands with same model. so, i have not researched yet, what benefits does this update give us - in your experience?

Have you overclocked your card any, or at least shifted the power slider far to the right? Cooling solution is also a factor. The cooler you can keep your card, the better it will perform. Also, it can depend on your CPU. If you’re using a 6-year old chip, for example, you overall score will be lower. Doesn’t mean you can’t game with a 6-year old CPU, as I myself had done for a few weeks using a 3080 Ti. It’ll just be more evident in benchmarks.

It's not a function of the age of the card, but the BIOS version.  Use X1 and update your BIOS and any problems should be resolved.  I received a new card a week ago and it didn't have the updated BIOS, so it's likely that "new cards" will still need the update, at least for a while.

hymm my bios is 94.02.71.80.C0 and X1 does not propose any update to it...
Does this mean my bios already have this fix?
Or I still need to downgrade to the other one? If so how?

If this is for the 3080 Ti XC3 ULTRA HC, then yes, this is the latest BIOS for your card and it contains the improved power profile.

Hello. Does this bios already come pre-applied onto new 3080ti XC3 Ultra's? I ask because I like the way this card looks and i'm planning on buying it.
