Last night Jacob said that it is for "a future product" but nothing further than that so far. Oh and if you watch Jays youtube video with Kingpin you will hear that they are guaranteeing that the card will hit 2025, and that Kingpin was getting 2150+ on air. So it does sound like this will be one hell of a card, even if you left it on air. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOrtSRip0bg

Raldi92 Kingpin claimed 2150 Mhz as an AVERAGE on air based on what he has seen . So it means that those cards can go as low as 2025Mhz and maybe as high as 2,2Ghz - 2,3Gz on air .
No where did he say 2150MHz is an average on air.
Jay is asking : " on an average how far have you seen those cards get ? " and to this Kingpin responds : " on air cooling 2150+ " So he obviusly talks about an average .
Jay asks how fast he's seen them clocked and Kingpin responded he seen some hit 2150mhz. He then iterates that it has to stay cool, not just inside a stuffy case in the summer and points out his open air test bench in an air conditioned room.
Honestly I'm wondering if you're trying to decieve or really didn't catch the next 10 seconds of that vid.
Kingpin says at 2:38 into the video, "uuuhhhhh on air cooling, I've seen 2150 plus" Yes he goes on to say that it has to stay cool and he is in an air conditioned room, but the fact is it still is hitting higher than I have seen any other 1080ti even on open test benches.

2025 is a great guarantee.
I am very interested to see what future products theh have. It is perfectly placed to be a voltage monitor with the VRM right there. I remember T|n made one for Vince a couple of years ago, and it would be great for end users to have if it worked.. of course, that is specualtion.

When I read about the USB pinout to control the power I thought that it might be something you could plug to new X299 EVGA motherboards. Could be a way to create synergy between products.

How much will the 1080 Ti K|NGP|N cost? I think it could be at least $900.00. The person who sponsored this, he needs to make some money.

I'm guessing around $849. That's just a wild guess though.

I am still confused why the include the evbot port, if they are going to include a usb 2.0 header that does the exact same thing. I look forward to seeing what Vince and Tin came up woth this time.

That's not a guarantee, that's what he's seen on highly binned chips in a room that's probably at or below 60F. Please wait for retail samples before going off on expectations of clocks.

Considering the obvious price premium for these cards, and the fact that they're clearly marketed towards the high end/elite, I can't understand why they keep putting these cards out with air coolers. You'd be a fool to run this on anything less than a custom liquid loop. It would make far more sense to sell these with pre-installed water blocks, or even just include one in the box so that the cooler could be swapped out.

Even Kingpin admits on an interview with JayzTwoCents that, at most, you will get 2150 on air with this card. So not worth the premium if you are hoping to go over 2150 (which non-Kingpin cards can do) with this card.

Even more with Intel selling waterblocks nowadays. Everyone and his mother is moving towards liquid cooling.

What sort of FPS boost will this deliver compared to the GTX1080ti FTW3 and at what expected price difference? Secondly, will the additional cost be worth it with Volta around the corner?

Guys can you imagine K|NGP|N version with AIO system. I mean HUGE AIO system and special Asetek pump to cover whole chip, memory and VRM. That would be expensive but amazing beast. Only Absurd thing is EVBot connector. I think something should be done because market need arround 1000 new EVBot devices at the moment or even more.

I'm not very excited with the kingpin 1080 ti honestly having seen the tear down from gamer nexus and jayztwocents vid with kingpin himself, just seems like we hit a brick wall with the ti's and even kingpins can't deliver much more than a guaranteed clock for it. Others pointed out 2150 being max and even on water I seriously doubt you'll exceed much more than that, you'd think if Kingpin could, he would of bragged since he used LN2 or hinted at it. "Like yea Jay, I hit 2250 with LN2" You'll just end up with a more stable clock of course but for how much? New GPU's are around the corner too and already looking to beat out the 10 series badly if rumors hold true (16gb vram). 1080 ti's seem to be shaping out to be duds compared to the likes of the 980TI which today still holds value and can meet most demanding games. Not raining on parades here, just didn't see anything in the kingpin to go "WOW.. That's amazing! Saving up now!" Just an interesting looking card, copper plated heatsink with custom spreaders, some cool connectors to monitor voltages with my multimeter and rest is what you'd expect from ftw3. Doesn't seem worth paying to get a clock speed guarantee and a name "kingpin". It's still got some time before it releases, so things can change of course, who knows!

Anyone know if Newegg will sell the Kingpin? Do they usually sell Kingpin cards? I checked on their site for the 980 TI Kingpin, but there weren't any. I'm hoping that's just because they aren't being sold anymore.
