AHowes Nice.. though some would beg to differ since using a different bios fixed the issue.
But here's to hope!
That is because that particular BIOS may have some other power limits increased or removed, allowing for higher power consumption.
December 14 2017 was the last time anyone from EVGA other than Sanjin posted in this thread to update or even to say that they are still looking into the problem. That is 69 days ago. Not even Jacob will come in here to blow sunshine up our collective skirts. They unpinned the thread and have been avoiding it like it had Ebola. I think we have our answer as to if and when they will fix this issue. If this isn't fixed by the time the next generation of cards come out , it might be time to lawyer up. I have personally paid the EVGA premium tax on 4 FTW3's and that is just one person. How many of us are out there that have bought these cards? How many people have been shafted by EVGA and what appears to be a conscious effort to ignore delivering on what their customers bought and paid for. If this criticism seams harsh then ask yourself how well EVGA would respond if people didn't pay them for 69+ days after receiving their gpus? Those customers would have been served papers after 30 days. I haven't been able to locate any mention of the 127% power limit on any FTW3 advertisements so if they were there EVGA has removed it. That does not bode well for those of us who have bought this card. It looks like all mention of the 127% power limit has been scrubbed from the EVGA website except for these forums.
Well then I guess they better hurry up and edit the Precision x oc software cause its selectable up to 127% and is written in the slave bios for the card as well I guess.

EVGA needs to answer us after 22 pages and 6 months+ of waiting: Is there any plan to fix this problem? If so, when will the fix be available? Will not accept anything less than answers to those questions. This thread should never leave the front page until we get an answer.

The good side on having a KP card is that you also get support from Vince as well. But for us, FTW3, the way I see, this is already a lost cause. No EVGA representatives come here in months. I do want to believe they are trying to resolve the issue (maybe doing complex testing, or something like that..), but I find it hard to happen. But hey, that's my opinion only, and I wish it's wrong.

I submitted another support ticket. They ignored the link to this thread and stated that 127% power target should be working just fine on slave bios. LOL but I will give the tech a break, as he is probably just going through the troubleshooting procedure. Asked me to uninstall precision, unplug my PC from the wall, and reconnect/reinstall. I will see where this goes.

For me I would not say that this is not true of their Support. Still the Best. They still have better support than any other company in this Market. The FTW3 Card support the below and my card without the 127% out performs all the Clocks Below. - 1569MHz Base Clock
- 1683MHz Boost Clock
- 351.5GT/s Texture Fill Rate
- 11264MB GDDR5X Memory
- 11016MHz Memory Clock
- 484.4GB/s Memory Bandwidth

I would like to add in that, although I have been pretty upset with the FTW3 (Elite color discrepancy, 127% power target), overall EVGA support has been has been very good over the many years and products I have gone through.

Because EVGA wants to ignore this problem until the next gen cards come out and hope that we all go away.

And what real good will that do in the end? I would think that after 655 Post in a Single Thread and even a few other Threads this must not really be an issue that needs attention. Let's see where the Support Ticket That Opolis Submitted Goes before some just keep Bumping this Thread.

If it's not an issue then why would jaccob say "we are working on it" in response to "when will it be fixed" If it's not an issue then why not respect the folks here who are concerned about it and confront the perceived issue directly. If it's not an issue then why would support reply to my support ticket with "we are working on it? If it's not an issue then why do we here it's a driver issue. If my 1080Ti FE out performs my FTW3 overclocking and performance ITS AN ISSUEWhether you are toting water for them or trolling is no issue. You do not represent support for EVGA in any capacity so Please stop telling people this is nothing when you don't know what you are talking about. If you think it is a non-issue then please post up your proof of why you think this. Do you have a FTW3? If so it should be easy to do so. If you don't then butt out, please.
