Ya those ships listed will be offered with LTI to anyone including new backers during the sale, but only for those ships. Regular non-limited ships will still have the standard insurance depending on your backer level.

Now I have a predicament. I'm pretty sure my Aurora LN is better than the LX that will be offered. Might not be worth switching to a worse ship with LTI than keeping my current ship with 3 months insurance.

Let's see if the LX will come with a game package (since I own the LN as a game package). If so, I may just dissolve the LN or the LX. Then put the LN upgrade on top to have a LN with LTI.

Well, in an attempt to get an Idris-P during the promotion today I stayed up through all 4 releases. In all cases I had an Idris-P in the cart within 5 seconds of them being available and in every case the ecommerce setup CIG has for purchases locked up on the third checkout window. I melted down $990 of the $1250 needed of mostly limited ships I can't replace now. My hangar is in a total disarray and LTI dies in a few hours. I'm pretty disillusioned how today played out. Not sure if I'll just sell off my remaining ships and wash my hands of the game or try and attempt to get some of the melted ships back via concierge. What a crappy 20 hours of non-stop hitting F5 in an attempt to purchase that crappy corvette. I'm very annoyed how the whole situation turned out. I'm ready to set stuff on fire after all that nonsense. How can 400 Idris-P ships sell out in 30 seconds in 100 ship batches? I'm trying to decide if I'm done with SC or not. What a huge mess.

I guaranty there will be another big sale... probably at Christmas, and maybe 1 more before then. Because things were so limited, you probably are not the only one to have problems trying to get what they wanted. Im sure if you talk to customer support, and tell them the situation, you may end up getting what you wanted....as im sure they have an emergency number of ships at there disposal for just such a thing as what your going through. You have too much invested in this game to let it all go.. and i think for all you have done for it..this forum and others... you owe it to yourself to keep moving forward !

WOW! that really sucks Brad,i would be mad too. But i would try contacting customer service as others have suggested,to see if they will make it right. You have put a lot of time into this game,and made a lot of helpful posts for us. Would hate to lose you now.

Well that was a silly move. This is purely personal opinion but I'd much rather have 10-15 ships than an Idris any day. I'd be willing to bet they can simply undo all the melting if you just call customer support.

I would suppose so once we get Idris in game later in 2014. The Idris is useless to me solo, so I'll use it as a guild ship.

The cockpit on the Freelancer looks like it has a little more pop and shine. Also the cargo bay has an almost chrome like shine to the metal.. kind of blinding. Think they ought to take the that down a notch or 2.
