Caterpillar looks pretty cool. I like the detachable officer section with it's own engine.

Nearly $400k in 2 days since it came up for sale, that's insane.

That is crazy !
the price for the Caterpillar is kind of high, but if i could afford one, i might buy it.
I bought a few extra packages to give away, here on the forums and others.
So now im feeling the pinch.. so nothing new for me for a long while.

Gah, missed a new ship announcement, for shame.  CURSE YOU REAL LIFE AND YOUR INTERFERENCE WITH VIDEO GAMES.  OK, now that I got that out of my system, I will definitely have to look into this new ship.  I only got 2 ships myself, and I was smooth as glass with all the options maxed out.  Saw there was an update to the hanger, will have to check it out tonight.

Yeah, same here, I would love that setup, but it  is a bit pricey for a component for one new game and a few older games through DOSBox.
I would prefer a separate joystick and throttle control with its own options, as well as rudder pedals.

Thoughts/suggestions anyone?

If you're looking at Thrustmaster under $100 I'd only humor the T.16000M. Nothing else in your price range has hall effect sensor. Everything else at that price range are cheap potentiometers.

How much will this game cost when it's released and will it be plagued by micro-transactions for new ships or upgrades.

I want to say I heard $40 retail for the release, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Chris Roberts has been pretty adamant about making sure the game is not pay-to-win.  Every single thing can be bought with the in-game currency or otherwise found or even stolen if you're one of those guys.

I would have no doubt in my mind they would make their 23M requirement if they would re-release their F7A Hornets, and the various constellation ships such as the supposed bomber platform. Along with updating the deluxe hanger to be more futuristic or more customization.

I'm still wonder what the surprises for the 1 year anniversary are. Hoping for the dogfighting module, got a constellation with no crew if anyone wants to join up.

21 million and counting.

For anyone that didn't already know, there is a live stream on Thursday at 7:30 EST, 4:30 PST.  They've pretty much confessed there will be sales and/or limited time offers.

Live stream event from CitCon 2013 tonight 6:30 PM CST (-5 GMT). A little over 2 hours till at time of posting.

They've hinted some limited promotion during the event in the last Wingmans Hangar. Makes you wonder if they're going to open up another 50 Idris or something crazy. *chuckle*

You didn't miss much. The live stream was a trainwreck. They need a do-over. Non-stop buffer lag for 40 minutes then it cuts out because YouTube's copyright protection bot detected them singing the Happy Birthday song (which is copyrighted by Warner music). Go figure...

Anyways, the bombers are back up for sale on the site and they have a new polo shirt in physical items. A bit meh, but I'm sure some like a new crack at getting the bombers.

In honor of the 1st anniversary, I bought another ship and upgraded my existing Aurora to the LN.  Alright, truth be told, I just needed a reason to justify adding another ship to my hangar...
