Probably 3 GTX TITAN's. No joke, the game runs on CryEngine 3 and is a lot more detailed.

Hope anyone on the fence got their pledges in.

Got mine in on July 1st, thanks for the heads up Halo.

ANd to my question, 3 1440p's(even at $400-500) and 3 Titans, too rich for me.

A 2nd monitor question,

A single IPS_1440p(120Hz) or three TN_1080(144Hz)?

I did see the Asus 144Hz had 99% AdobeG'. But Im more prone to motion sensitive. I can watch a movie on my Samsung 120Hz TV without seeing tearing or blur. But last I played Sam3 the tearing/blur drove me nuts, but games at 60(+)FPS never bothered me...

Personally, I'd go for 3 of the ASUS 144Hz ones in portrait surround, landscape is just weird. Then you'd be looking at I think 2 GTX 780s and you should be okay.

It's supposed to scale past 8 threads, but with an i7 quad you're fine. I'm not sure how big a change it would be with 12 threads.

I'm going for a 4770K for now, and a Haswell-E 8 core next year potentially for the actual release game.

Ill be building in Sept, most likely Oct.

anyone know if we do get IB-E or not? Or would two 780's even push pcie 2.0 16x/pcie 3.0 8x(z77)?

Ivy-E sometime in Q3, so you may get lucky. Not sure on that last part though.

They almost made it to 14 mil. Even with the sale off they'll probably still make it this week.

Yeah, the momentum for this game is nuts, and it isn't even released yet, also the release of mod tools for private servers makes it even more interesting too.  In Freelancer, I ran on a Discovery 24/7 server for a long time, however, there was a friend who couldn't commit as much time, and had a bleh connection, so we launched our own Discovery server for he and I, then 3 other friends joined us, it was great, when they guys with no time were available, we went private server, otherwise we played a big public one.
The more I watch, the more I see WHY there is so much backing, one of the best gameplay/story teller gurus of the 80's/90's is going full steam ahead in a big M-player undertaking, with everything we loved from ALL our old games, this is gonna be epic.  Grabbed something at the sale myself  :)

This after the LTI is over.
That just goes to show how much more support this game has, than most people even realize.

Now that the LTI is over... if i melt down and start something fresh.. does my new ride get the LTI ?
Or is it you get what you got.. and if you make changes... you get what you get ?

Yes, there is still LTI for original and veteran backers till november. At issue is I wouldn't reclaim something limited. You probably won't be able to get it with LTI in the future. I'm waiting to save up the next couple of months to get a Constellation. I have until November to do it though because of my original backer status.

I definitely with you on that.  I'm trying to save up for a Constellation myself.

The momentum is amazing. But I think it will kick into even higher gear when they release the hangar module. If they do it right, that is... When folks see these massive ships and guys walking around their hangars and entering their ships... Funding will go through the roof, I bet...

I hope you're right about the Hangar Module.  Without the dangling carrot of limited edition ships and LTI around anymore, they will need to periodically release solid features that will get people to throw more money at it.

I haven't been this excited about a game in a while, so I hope that it will be released on schedule.  I'm afraid that more features may creep in and delay the project, or take away from time to refine key features.  I could care less about atmospheric flight, or a 1st-3rd person mode for boarding ships, arena modes, etc.  I care about the space flight sim part, in an expansive universe.  Get the main part of the game done and out there, and release those features later.  I want to play it now!

Gotta understand LTI and limited ships sale though. My guess is for every ship they detail out in the future and do their marketing voodoo on with brochures and commercials I'm sure each will have rare variations that go on sale like the Aurora LX and Origin 350r did. My bet is LTI will show up in those short sales too for specific ship variants. It's worked as incentive before and it'll probably work again. They need to space those promotions out with a month between them though to allow people to recover on their spare beer money they can burn. Personally I think we're going to see limiteds for hangar too like living quarters and bar add-ons. Just a guess though.

Anyone know how carrier server will work? And if a heavy shielded, highly maneuverable but fast Bomber would work?

I imagine a new form of LTI will hit too. Maybe courier LTI where everything being carried in the cargo is insured. Or maybe engineer's LTI where all upgrades and hardpoint add ons are covered... Maybe either of these for a limited time??

Probably 3 GTX TITAN's. No joke, the game runs on CryEngine 3 and is a lot more detailed.

Hope anyone on the fence got their pledges in.

I bought the Rear Admiral LTI veteran backer pledge Saturday. So now I get the constellation a bunch of other goodies, and I already got a 300A.

Got an app in for an outfit too. Pretty stoked for this game.

I think the main thing about stretch goals is they've set themselves up as it being an expectation so they're pressured into making up 2 or 3 every million raised. Most of that I think is merely fluff stuff like the laser pistol or just finally talking about things they've planned but never brought up publicly in the case of arena. Frankly I think the atmospheric flight comments are just them setting a ridiculous goal level thinking they won't reach it. Trouble is they have enough forward momentum that they'll probably pass any current goals they they've made up and then some. Going to be nice to eventually get the game associated with my Steam account. I don't foresee that before mid-2014 though.

Time to add a little to the thread here...
I am now the proud owner of... AEGIS DYNAMICS AVENGER - LTI.
Fell into a little money, and my first thought was... SAVE IT !
But my more irrational side intervened and said.. Just Do It !
So i chose to listen both my Rational and Irrational sides, and compromised.
save and spend !!  at the same time !!

I was going to purchase more, but im gonna wait to see what they bring out down the road a month or two.
Might be something much greater than the goods i have.

Ok i must say that it's got my attention but after digging around the official site i've found that it's with monthly subscription, which i'm not a big fan of. Haven't read all the posts here so my bad if there is info on this already, but do you guys know if there will be some sort of access to alpha and/or beta to those that don't pledge? Some sort of demo? I'm not exactly excited to pay/pledge for something that i may (or not) like.

There's no subscription for the game. Those are monthly subscriptions to help game development. To get in the Alpha/Beta you need to pledge at the $40 level or higher. Otherwise, as far as alpha/beta goes, you'll only be able to experience it on youtube.

No there is no Sub for game once you buy its yours the sub you see i think your talking about are the centurion and imperator.  These are Subs to help with development before they game 10-20 dollars a month

Yes about the Centurion and Imperator. Guess i read them wrong. Need to do more reading on everything that's to offer in this title.

LE Thanks for the info guys! Gonna get on reading that wiki.
