shadowboricua I am having the same issues with my GTX 780 SLI setup :-(; Lots of stuttering, specially while driving. It does not matter what settings I use. Low, Medium, High, Ultra... No AA all the way to MSAA 8x... it just does not matter; it still stutters and drops frames. What a pain in the ass. Oh, and it just crashed too!!
believe me its the game itself !! i can run any other new game with SLI perfectly , i know SLI is not optimized for all games but not to the extent this huge drop in frame rates and even locking the screen ! i checked the background of my system and nothing is working out of the usual

I gotta ask too, why do you have a SB zx card installed on that motherboard? Not exactly an upgrade over the onboard sound on that motherboard which is EXCELLENT. Plus your occupying a Pcie slot.........and which slot at that?.......... Does that MB have a PLX controller? Who knows if that is possibly adding to your issues............IMO its an add on card that does not need to be there, nor does it add anything for SQ over what that MB has.

Hmmm... I have a Sound Blaster Z... good thought. I dont feel like unistalling it. If anyone tries and it fixes the stuttering, let me know.

thanx for your answer and comment , for the sound card it is a great card that was with me from the previous MB and i didnt see that it can be thrown away as its realy good , pci slot r 1 and 3 that occupies the cards , i will try removing the sound card and tell u the results

Its no better though than the onboard sound solution that your MB includes, and it is taking up a slot and bandwidth, just not sure if its also occupying the 16 lanes of the main bus or if your MB has a PLX controller adding secondary lanes into the equation. Personally, Id take it out, use it for another rig or sell it.

At least in my case; the card is in a slot that should affect the bandwidth of the Graphic Card lanes. I've had no problem with the sound card and other games but I have seen stuttering problem relate to sound cards in the past with other systems.

Ntrain96 I have never had 1 single issue with GFE. It works very well, and its great to use as a baseline for optimal settings. In fact for me to date its been 100% spot on as far as settings go.
Consider yourself lucky. http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2153182 Ntrain96 I have read that article over now thoroughly and in all honesty, that reviewer did not take into account what Nvidia has for recommendations on how to PROPERLY OPTIMZE and TWEAK the game. Nvidia itself directly states in a round about way that the game will bottleneck on GPU/CPU combos depending on settings and resolution used, not just the VRAM which is implied by the review at Guru. 6gb Titan Blacks in SLI have the same recommended settings as 780ti SLI setups, and there has already been a report tha the extra 3gigs of ram on the Blacks does noting for performance at higher resoltions or even allow for higher AA settings. If your using SLI for Blacks, Ti's, 780's or 770's you should be using 2-4x TXAA based on 1080p. If not, supposed to be SMAA. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. If your at 1440p or higher, then SMAA only, or nothing........at those higher resolutions you really shouldn't be cranking AA anyway, or need to.
Turning down settings on 800 to 1000 dollar GPU's is pretty irritating.

A. I don't consider myself lucky, I consider myself smart. I personally have never had an issue with GFE. B. These $700-$1200 video cards nop matter how you want to spin it are 1080p video cards and optimized for that resolution. And in reality, I feel you need 2 of them to play all the current games and upcoming games in the near future with all settings maxed. If you want to play at 1440p,1600p or higher don't expect a 1080p video card to perform at those higher resolutions without making some sacrifices with graphics settings. So irritating? Yes. BUt its reality.

Jonathan Morin the creative director for watch dogs tweeted yesterday that 3gig of vram on ultra isnt enough. That you need more. Which leads to believe that is what its going to be and no patch will fix that because its not a problem.

That is not what he said. He stated 3gb on Ultra is FINE at/for 1080p. Resolutions higher than 1080p and using significant AA can push past that limit.

Yep, he said you need 4GB for 1440p. So 6GB would be even better.

Yeah my 780Ti's SLI in 1440p are definitely not cutting it. Its very choppy down to the lowest AA available. Very dissapointing.

I have hope though that maybe a patch or updated driver may help. AC:IV played just like this for me when it came out. Adventually through patches and drivers the game became very smooth in 1440p.

console code is to blame, ps4 has 8gb of DDR5 ram, for that reason developers are taking all the advantage they can. it is also a shame that my 780ti with 3gb of DDR5 ram costs over $800 and PS4 with 8gb of DDR5 ram costs $399. good thing is I had 4 more days to return my 780ti, I returned it earlier today and got a reg 780 with 6gb of ram.

You will have to let us know how going 3 gig to 6 gigs works for you. I think most 780's can be overclocked to run as well as a 780Ti.

I Have a 780Ti Dual Classy & a MSI 750Ti OC on board. I've been experiencing what everyone else is with Watch_Dogs performance with their top tier GPUs... My best solution was to run the game in borderless mode.. My frames jumped from 30-42fps to 50-72fps with Ultra settings... During cut scenes, the frames are anywhere from 150-223fps range, as appose to 20-30fps range... I was playing Watch_Dogs steady for 2hrs with no more freezes n stutters in Borderless Screen Mode... That's what I'm doing to get Watch_Dogs to run smoothly until these developers fix all this Hunvahajanvo... Cheers.... I will have to try borderless next time I play. Thanks I am surprised its so choppy for you when according to your signature you are playing 1920x1200. I figured the choppy ones are the 1440p people.

Yeah pretty sure you shouldn't be getting any stuttering in 1920x1080 with the rig. Though your stuttering isn't nearly as bad as mine in 1440p.

Well I have only played it a little at 5940x1080 with 3-way GTX 780 SLI and so far so good. To be fair I have not gotten far. On another interesting note, when I run the game my Logitech G510 keyboard freaks out. The default colors get messed up and the display stops working. Only with this game though. Any thoughts? The keys work ok. Something interfering with the G510 display? Perhaps a hacker (from the game) :) I did wonder if anyone else with this keyboard noticed this. I did upgrade the Logitech software to work with my G502 mouse I recently got. Thanks

Scarlet-Tech "How can they publish a game without optimizing it first?" I don't know.. Ask DICE... There is probably unforeseen things happening. Hopefully you get it figured out. I am downloading it, but wont be able to play for a couple of weeks. P.S. If one game makes you great paying a lot of money for SLI, then I feel really bad for you. It's one game. I personally didn't pay for the game, as it came with the 3rd GPU I bought, so I won't be able to complain.
Yea I can't complain either, got two free copies with my two 780 Ti cards. I only spent $20 for the season pass. I'm not to worry about the issues, they will get fix. I'm a PC gamer, I already expected issues to happen.

I think the only way to fix this Ram issue is Ubisoft recoding the engine for the PC version, and release a patch. But that will cost them money, so the question is, are they up to it?

I'm mainly concerned because is it an actual issue or is it because the game is SO demanding that a 3Gb top of the line video card is actually not quite good enough. Switching to 1920x1080 didn't make any different still all stuttery. 30 min into playing it crashed to desktop and was difficult to get my mouse cursor to come back.

they ported a console engine with unified ram to a PC that has system ram and v-ram. ubisoft needs to isolate the ram for the pc version, which I highly doubt. there is no reason to use system ram inside v-ram for the pc version of the game. I fear that all console ports will ends up like this from now on because PS4 is the lead platform.

dirtymildew I Have a 780Ti Dual Classy & a MSI 750Ti OC on board. Cheers.... I'm going to try that, thanks for the tip!

lordkahless Do you know all that for sure or is that what you suspect?
I am sure that current next-gen consoles no longer use system ram and vram, everything is unified in a single ram pool, and PlayStation 4 has 8gb of this ram and its GDDR5. this is the end result of it, if developers don't isolate this ram pool into two for PC then you will always get something like Watch Dogs. I believe this will be the new norm from now on, this is why 800 series from Nvidia are starting off with 4gb and up to 12gb of Vram, to counter attack this issue that PC's will face.
