Hello. Time for an upgrade. I don't really keep up with what's compatible and all that. I just need recommendations for a new M.Board/Ram/CPU. Something around mid range specs/price. I'll order the new board here from evga. I don't use newegg so I wouldn't know where to look for the ram and a cpu. Thanks in advance for any help.

More info would help. Budget? What will you use the system for. If gaming what games and what resolution? The z370 or z390 chipset and an Intel 8600k, 8700k, or 9600k,9800k Can't go wrong with Gskill memory EVGA or Seasonic PSU You can get parts from several places, Amazon, newegg, Tigerdirct or even best buy sells PC parts.

teknokanix upgrading from https://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?buildid=24803 except I'm using a single 1080Ti and the PSU is a: https://www.thermaltake.com/Power_Supply/Toughpower_Series_/Toughpower_DPS_G/C_00002917/Toughpower_DPS_G_RGB_850W_Gold_/design.htm Later I'm going to buy a new PSU also. Suggestions will be nice. I always go Intel. System will be used for 4k gaming. Later on I'll get 2 of the new RTX video cards. So a board that supports 2 will be nice. Budget is $700.00 But for now that's all towards mother board, ram, and the cpu. wifi capabilities aren't important. No cable options are in my area so I'm stuck using my phone -_-
I would keep an eye out for a quality 80 Plus gold rated PSU made by EVGA or SeaSonic to go on sale. These two websites below can help you catch them on sale. Build-a-PC-SaleSlickdeals EVGA G2/G3 Series SeaSonic Focus Plus Series When it comes to selecting a motherboard, check out what the top mfg's have to offer. Make sure the mobo you select has enough USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 for all your needs. If you plan on sticking with onboard audio, like most people do these days. I would want Realtek S1220 over the S1220A chip. Check out what audio software features the mobo comes with. ASUS ROG mobo come with some nice audio software features.

For that 9900K CPU I would go with a 360 AIO (if it would fit in your case) or custom loop

dont forget an M.2 drive. I went for a 970 pro 2 TB. and I love it. But whatever you need for your circumstance. one of the things about the z390 and that cpu is how easy it was to just get a great overclock. I hardly had to work for 5.2 5.3 was not obtainable on my water system (too much heat) as I suspect won't be unless you have a cpu that's really a gem. 5.2 was ok but 5.1 just sit right for me

You are "Better Off" buying the RAM as tested sets - instead of buy two smaller sets - This comes from several RAM Mfg. That said - my self included - many have mixed sets & had it worked The RAM Mfg - Caution you - that they "might not work at advertised speed" when mixing two different sets - Because they were Not factory tested On the Page you Linked - it Also has the 4x8 GB than the 2 sets of 2x8 GB Shop around with Vendors you like - I hate Amazon's "live pricing" as it changes all the time, even if you go back to your shopping cart later There is Always the i5-9600K ($230) if your budget is on life-support
