Well sorry to say that but your 3881-KL is a standard "XC Gaming", they've said multiple times to stick with at least an "Ultra" card, that has way better chances, probably because that's the variant that sells more, so they produce more of those cards. The other one is a KR model of the 3080. -KR models won't be produced anymore (NV has stopped the supply of FHR chips) so unless they have an ongoing production batch of those or have some stock of those FHR chips to make 'em, I wouldn't count on that one.

So am I... And? 🤷♂️ I only quoted what EVGA reps repeatedly said over the course of time prior and after the changes on how the queues work from now on. Yes, you actually have a better chance to get a card, rather than wait on a dead FHR queue bud.

Point is, given the movement of 3080 queue for EU, sadly I don't think there's a "better" chance .. only a loooong wait. But there's always hope

Well, actually, what the email said was that after october the 11th you would have been stuck to the two oldest entries in your queue list and so, if you were interested in other SKUs you entered in line later, to remove the older, uninsterested in, queue entries. So that the two oldest entries in your queue list would have been the ones you were truly interested in.

You weren't asked to keep the cards with the oldest timestamps exactly, you were asked to only keep notifications for 2 cards you wanted the most. If you didn't and kept 3 or more, then the system would only take under consideration the 2 oldest entries, after October 11th, as @LeChuck81 said. Also, EVGA transferred everyone on the -KL queues for the 3080s months back, how did you end up in the -KR again? Did you roll back?

Just for the record, apparently that did not happen for every card. My queue has a (now inactive) 08G-P5-3751-KR that was never moved to its -KL counter part. The 3885 entry is a -KL though.

At this point I‘m about ready to just jump on an MSI card and swallow the cost. Not that it matters to evga, they make as many as poss and ship them out non-scalped so kudos to them. But after a year it makes you wonder just how big this EU queue is and how many units are going into it? We wait another year? More than a year? The cards we queue will most likely be superseded by that time I’d imagine. I still think personally they could provide some estimate, they know how many units they produce and how big the queue is. If someone said I’m estimate to be waiting another year, I’d bounce for sure at this point. I get they don’t want to give dates and everyone kick off if they don’t achieve them, but I’m not sure how that is better than waiting blindly for a period of time which is now in excess of a year. No matter what happens EVGA sell all their cards regardless so whats the real issue.

Certainly, hence why I asked why is he on a 3080 -KR queue. If the system didn't transfer him automatically onto the -KL queue equivalent back then, and never got that email, he should contact support.

Solid oof. The best use for accidental NA sign-ups, is, in my opinion, if you have a friend in NA who is looking for a new card. I signed up for a NA 3060 in March(after having launch day for EU) as a joke and... Well... My friend in NA now has a 3060. :') (I lucked out on a 3070 but I'll get a 3060 for my own RMA period and later forward it to a friend)

This was the biggest marketing scam ever. When everyone was turning against other brands for selling their gpus to scalpers, EVGA slipped in the "queue" to look innocent.
The fact remains that EVGA cards have been shipped to EU and sold at scandalous prices while at the same time almost NO cards were allocated to the "queue". Complete bs!
