So,

there is no Queue for it, but i finally received my 3080 FTW3 Ultra from the Step-Up Program.

Step-Up Registered:
2020/9/22, 08:11

Step-Up Notification to pay the surcharge for the 3080:
2021/8/18, 1:50:59

Step-Up Complete (old Card sent back and new one arrived)
2021/8/24

I switched from an 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra to an 3080 FTW3 Ultra (10G-P5-3897-KR).
Despite they announced in June that the Step-Up wont be the KR Version, but the KL, they now sent an KR.

I'am from Germany. 2080 went to the German RMA Center and the new one got sent from there.
Had to pay 137,xx € up from my 2080 Super for which i payed in July last year 799 €. So in total it was 937,xx for the 3080.

Gz! Enjoy your relatively cheap upgrade :D (especially considering the current market)

I was in EU queue for EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra LHR (10G-P5-3897-KL) since 9/17/2020 9:07:36 AM PT and got today, 11 months and 1 week later, 8/24/2021, the notify.

Gz! Enjoy your raytraced lights! If you haven't tried out RTX yet(I hadn't before my 3070), try out Control, looks great :) 3080 can probably run it 1440p maxed, 3070 does 1080p maxed perfectly fine. :)

honestly I have already a 3080 FE and since I also use it for mining when I don´t play games, I bought it, because of the LHR, for a friend who upgrades from a 3070 Strix. (Would love to have the FTW3, especially since I had 2 orders at launch for 839€ which I both cancelled after I got my 3080 FE. On the other hand I still might prefer my 700€ FE vs the 911€ FTW3 (just for the 211€ more in my pockets), also I would have no money at all for the FTW3 now, my friend paid directly via Paypal).
I am not sure if I already own Control, but yes, I know it looks great, but not my type of game.
Already tried alot of Raytracing games, but in the end I play 85% Battlefield and 15% CoD Warzone.

Raytracing is great, even more a good DLSS implementation as a FPS gamer.

Oh and by the way, I rock a 3440x1440p 160 Hz LG IPS monitor (55 inch LG C9 4k120 Oled TV as a backup if I really want to sit back - so the RTX 3080 definetly has some work to do)

I hope I get a BF2042 code, hopefully before the Beta Early Access, then I will ask my friend if we make 50/50 for the BF2042 code or so (I even gave 23 of my EVGA Bucks to the order), since he probably also wants to play BF2042.

Glad you could get it for a friend :D I personally have played Control only to the extent of... looking at it pretty much. Under an hour, but god damn does it look beautiful. If you have been taking the free games from Epic store you might have it. If it was a choice.. ****. FTW3 would run quieter and cooler, probably faster too, but FE cards have kind of a niche market.. :D Hope EU has more cards on the way :)

yeh I really would like being able to afford the FTW3 price difference, but like I said, it would give me less money back mining vs my FE.
ah yes, probably have it from the EPIC deal, yes, I try to install it and take a look in the graphics, probably better than watching it on Youtube!
Yes, maybe a 3060 or 3060 Ti would be nice for my brother in law. I think he has already a used 3060 Ti from a offline shop, where he had to repair the cooler or so, and a 580 for my sister, which he wanted maybe to upgrade. But still for MSRP I think they are pretty overpriced if you already have a 580. Maybe the 3050 Ti could have better value. (I also would like to upgrade my dads 1650 Super with a 3050 Ti for the RTX Nvidia Broadcast Stuff, but since the 1650 Super was only 200€ or so that might also be not a good value compared to that card...)

Now that I'm waiting for a 3060 for a friend, I haven't been looking at the timestamps that often...
But now that I did, NA is in April!? GG :D We got 14 seconds of movement tho :)

Yes, rip.

Here is a nice queue tracker for NA and EU by the way.
Have not found a EU queue tracker in this forum apart from the 3080 Ti thread.

What do you guys think, is 500 € for an rtx 3060 too much atm? (excl. shipment)
From evga it would be around 440 € with tax for my country (incl. shipment), but it would take another 6 months at least (still 5 min left in the queue) till I receive a notify :/.

I got a evga 3080 ti xc3 ultra hybrid from scan (uk) a month ago, stock is coming it now but in low amounts, if there is stock its mostly all LHR hence bots staying away from now, dont care about crypto so gaming perf card is amazing

9900k, 32gb ram, evga geforce rtx 3080 ti xc3 ultra hybrid, nvme, 4k

Honestly, it comes down to if you need it. If yes, go for it. 500 seems like a decent price for the 3060 atm, I have seen 6600XT-s at similar prices, if you don't need Nvidia, that could be an option, too(and better performance in most cases, excluding raytracing).
If you already have a 10 series or 20 series card and don't feel like you need to upgrade right now, it can probably wait. :)

Atm I run a gtx 750 ti so I tend to the "I need it" case^^
Unfortunately tensor cores, cuda and lots of vram for machine learning are of importance for me and therefore amd is no option...
Finally as a student 500 € are always 500 € too much, might get weak if the offer stays until the weekend, otherwise I will wait. :-)
Thanks for the advice :)

maybe wait for the 3050 Ti Release.
Notebooks are out since 2 months or so.
I guess Nvidia is waiting until they have tons of 3050 Tis in stock.
I doubt they wanna see 3050 Tis on the market for 400 € or so.
3060s are overpriced and have not good value compared to a 3060 Ti imo.
Maybe we see 3050 Tis in October/November with the Battlefield 2042 and CoD Vanguard release?
Apart from that maybe track Discord channels with bots and pages like the german site mydealz.de, I guess every here and there you can find a 400€ 3060. Still, a 3060 shold be below 350.
I would also expect more and more used Ethereum mining cards on ebay, which will relax the market.

Imo: no, don´t overpay for a 3060.

So you mean that waiting in the EVGA queue is both a waste of time and money? I say that bc in my country I would have to pay around 440€ in total to get an RTX 3060 through the EVGA queue (350€ net + 20 % (=70€) VAT +~20€ shipment = 440 €)
Actually I have tried to figure out a release date for the 3050 ti, but all I found were news regarding the laptop version :/

It is neither. If you get a card through the queue, you get it at manufacturer's retail price, if you don't it costs you nothing. No waste of money. And unless you waste your time refreshing your notify list daily for hours on end, you are only out the few minutes it took you to register in the queue.

The point rather being that the price isn't considerably lower than current market pricings, meaning waiting on it might not be worth it.

So from no drops to EVGA taking cards back?

after 1 year of queue i ordered a zotac 3080. the price while still a bit high for me is still a bargain given the state of the market.
to everyone good luck with the queue

I would reply to the email you received and indicate your desire to purchase the card (as a way of creating a record that you wanted it during the 8 hour window).  Then I would try to reach EU customer service.  Best of luck!

No, that's not a typo, the NA queue has moved 48,948 times farther then the EU queue.

In other words we have higher chances of getting a 3080 by buying it from eBay from someone in NA who sold his after waiting in the queue, in all the queues.
If I sound salty that's because I most definitely am, my apologies.

No, but your cousin could order it from the LATAM site: https://latam.evga.com/.  That is when you can get past the "Severs are at high capacity" notice.
