Wow was a FTW3 Ultra? or Gaming? 
 
I ordered mine (FTW3 GAMING) at Amazon.fr first day still waiting.

I ordered a 3090 FTW3 Gaming at 14:05 24th September from Scan.co.uk which is literally 5 minutes after launch and I'm also still waiting.  EVGA you really, really need to be focusing on models other than the FTW3 Ultra now its been 5 going on 6 weeks I know of people that ordered 1-2 hours after launch for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra that have had their card which is ridiculous while I've just been forgotten about.

Sooo...

6800 for 579$ somewhere between 3070 and 3080 on sale 18th november
6800XT for 649$ faster than 3080 on sale 18th november
6900XT for 999$ on par with 3090 on sale december 8th

Bye Nvidia, bye EVGA. Thank you for not implementing the queue system in the EU store, saved us a lot of money :)

i like raytracing and my question is... for example cyberpunk... will the game have "better" effects with a nvidia card?

I just requested a return for my 2 day old RTX 3090. I rather pay $999 for a AMD 6900XT and save the other 900$ for other upgrades. If I am to believe AMD they are right on top if not ahead of NVIDIA.

Thing is the prices of AMD are so extremely competitive, Nvidia has to lower prices or they will lose this generation.

6800 - 579$ - 16GB - 250 watt
6800 XT - 649$ - 16GB - 300 Watt
6900 XT - 999$ - 16GB - 300 Watt

Raytracing probably quicker on an Nvidia card but wait till Nov 18.
 
Caseking has just released the update ONLY RTX 3080 FTW Ultras sent. This is a joke really is seriously thinking about trying for a RTX 3070 tomorrow otherwise a 6800/6800XT
 
This is simply pathetic and EVGA should be ashamed how they are treating us customers 

It will depend. They said they are doing a new feature that enables more RT at hardware level. It will probably be lower than Nvidia because it won't be RT cores dedicated, but with being full rasterization then it provides apples to apples performance in non RT titles (or without RT enabled). 


Be glad though, Nvidia made us a gift. The gift to stick it to them by buying competition which will provide lower prices for similar performance (especially the 6900XT vs 3090 for 500$ less) and more relative availability. I'll still expect shortage, bots and scalpers, but in far lower number than what Nvidia currently gets because more stock = more customers provided = less scalping issues. 
Also if Samsung's 8nm is the root of supply issues, then it'll make sense AMD gets less supply issues as they have better yields from TSMC 7nm. Not to mention they issued a memo restricting the first 3 weeks of sales in order to be able to deliver more supplies to resellers to avoid the Nvidia situation. 
 
I'm waiting until AMD embargo lifts for reviews then I'll probably get a 6800XT if it's anything to go by. With lower power consumption I'd expect AIB to get even better temps especially Asus with their impressive TUF design for the 3080...

Why even pay 850 euros for a 3080 FTW when we can pay 1000 for a 6900 XT....

The money I saved from not buying a 3090 will be enough to fund an entire new build:

RTX 3090 - 1900€

VERSUS

AMD 6900 XT - 1099€
AMD Ryzen 5800 - 599€
AMD GIGABYTE AORUS X570 AORUS ULTRA - €270,-

Plus I’ll be able to upgrade from my i7 7700K. For 100€ more I can even get a Ryzen 5900X

Even more than that. If we're talking MSRP prices, Ryzen 5800X costs around 470€ (in France and other 20% VAT countries). I'll get either a 5600X (320€) or 5800X, haven't decided yet. MB was a 140€ for a B550 Mortar Wifi already bought with RAM (3200 CL16 Ballistix).

... nVidia seems to handle this better (by far?).

That will change shortly...If anyone would ask me 3 months ago if AMD could compete with NVIDA i would laugh at them....after today`s announcement tho I feel like a little kid that`ve seen a fireworks for the first time.
 
If AMD can outperform NVIDIA`s flagship GPU 4 weeks after 3090 premiere on FPS how long before they can outperform them in raytracing...2 months lol ?  
 
And for anyone there who bought 3090 purely for gaming, listen to this...hahahahaha

I gave up waiting for info on EU stock from EVGA and went on the list at overclockers for cards they have info on coming in

Damn i snatched one xc3 on Amazon.de for 739,99€ cant believe they will deliver it, still curious. while seeing most 3070 custom listing in germany being around 800€ this seems like a dream

How sad is this? Only a little over an hour before the 3070 launch and evga still does not even have a working eu webshop.

Want to know what is worse? EVGA Jacob posted that the 3070’s will also be distributed through the queue system. You know, that system we don’t have.

Either we get a working webshop within 24 hours😂
Or we get no 3070’s till all Americans have been served. You decide.

Also got my delivery date for my original Sept 17 order. It is scheduled to arrive on Monday Nov 2nd. I want to thank everyone in this thread for making this possible.
