Slowly giving up on a Xc3 Black gaming. Last week none delivered to Caseking and looking like this week none either. May as well cancel and try for a 6800XT. No answers from Jacob either. He dont seem to care about EU customers....

okay, cancelled my ftw ultra. shop said i have a better chance with the gigabyte aorus master. gigabyte gave a date for shipment, they heard nothing from evga.
imagine... ordering a gigabyte 6 weeks after release means a higher chance than a day one evga. ridiculous.

thanks guys, im out. bye bye

Thinking to cancel, too. I ordered at launch day a 3080 xc3 black from caseking and still nothing.

No EVGA card’s in Norway either yet. I am not gonna cancel my order though, I really want the FTW3 Gaming or Ultra, so I guess I just have to wait 2-3 more months :/

It was volontary to not include vat for three reasons :
- US is like EU, states don't necessarily share the same taxes / amount iirc, therefore not everyone will pay the exact same amount, same applies for EU with countries having different VAT.
- I'm not sure if the price in NA Store is vat free or vat included either (as canadians can buy from it too)
- While we will indeed pay the vat, the manufacturer doesn't benefit from it as it's for governments benefits.

Hence the exclusion of the vat from the price difference with the US as I'm comparing the money EVGA will benefit from an US customer vs an EU customer, not just the price paid.

Because if you want to compare the price paid, just take retailers prices in France at 1100€ (1300$) and we basically are paying because of inflated price almost twice the price an US customer would pay in US. It's more expensive for the EU customer but that's not new though (almost) always been that way for a long time.

But like I said, that's not what EVGA would benefit from, because don't forget they have to buy the chips from Nvidia, and pay the components of the card, assemble them, etc. So in the end on a card they might do maybe 200$ of margin on a card, or even less iirc a discussion from GamersNexus (or Buildzoid, can't remember tbh).

Which is why if EVGA benefits by 70$ more from an EU customer, it's not a small amount that can be neglected. In this made up margin, that would amount to 1/3 more margin. And as the margin price reduces (if it cost more to make and they get way lower than 200$ margin per card) the scale of these 70$ increase. For example if they made only 70$ of margin for an US customer then that would mean they would double their margin (70$ margin + 70$ difference from EU price converted) when selling to an EU customer.

As much as I'm disappointed with EVGA's handling of the EU market at the moment, this isn't a valid argument. You cannot simply look at converted pricing and take it at face value. If it's that simple, there's no way any company would miss out on an increased profit margin.

You have to take into account shipping, customs, and sales network costs, as well as opportunity costs. The fact of the matter is, we, the EU market, are for one reason or another, less desirable as a market to EVGA than the US considering current situations. It's a shame that it seems they're committing so much of the limited resources to the US rather than also spreading to the EU, and I can't say much for how it will impact business on EVGA in the EU in the future, but clearly someone at EVGA has decided this is the better of the two options.

We as consumers have the right to vote with our wallet as well though.

You make a good point. But these points are not known for us so I used only what we know for sure, overlooking some aspects indeed.

As for voting with wallet, I'm waiting for some Asus / MSI to drop on Amazon.fr or even for AMD. I found a deal I could afford on a monitor so I got one that does FreeSync and Gsync, ready to switch for AMD at any moment.

The only way EVGA could get my money now is if they are faster and better at giving Amazon or their EU store stock that can be bought at MSRP and I manage to get one. I wouldn't hold my breath for that happening so yeah. TUF will do fine, if Strix isn't much more expensive than FTW3 I might go there or take a Gaming X Trio. But despite having set notifications of all kinds at Amazon they really seem to not have much stock compared to tech specialized resellers... No notification in more than 2 weeks.

Edit : The german store is just EU Store with German translation if I'm not mistaken. That's misleading, making people believe it's a different website while in fact it's the same just translated iirc. Same applies for other languages like french etc.

Order cancelled, no evga cards have appeared in Finland and no more will be bought to this household. Seems like Gigabyte is the only one I'll be buying anymore.

I've given up on EVGA too. Will get either a Big Navi probably 6800XT (depends how long after tomorrow they go on sale) or a 3070 as it seems stores have had stock even before the 15th for the original launch and have quite decent numbers right now (compared to 3080), not an EVGA model of course.

Likewise, I'm going to see what amd offers and maybe get a 6900 XT or w.e biggest navi is if it's good, or get a 3080 TUF as ASUS seem a better chance to get a card.

Cancelled my EVGA orders. I'm not touching on EVGA products ever again. There's absolutely no reason to support a brand, if you're getting treatment like this. And it's not the lack of cards, it's the indifference and a lack of communication.

Ironically this was going to be my first EVGA product as I've heard great things about their service.
It's a rough first experience tbh. The amount of EVGA cards delivered is considerably lower than other brands and I've seen stores repeatedly say they do not receive any updates from EVGA about expected deliveries. I understand logistical difficulties, but I don't understand  why they don't keep us in the loop. The queueing system is great, but provide us with a realistic ETA.

Scan received their shipment from EVGA today, which was originally scheduled for last week.
The number of open EVGA 3080 preorders went from 975 to 951, so that makes 24 delivered EVGA 3080 GPUs.
Such a joke...

3090 FTW3 Ultra on Alternate.de for 2149... are you joking on us EVGA? Rather sending the retailers stock than implementing the queue for the EU... what a joke of a company...
3080 XC3 Ultra for 904...

I hope AMD smash it with their new cards so that I can cancel my 3080 order.  I really resent giving EVGA or Scan my cash.  The lack of up-front and honest communication on the state of orders and deliveries has been shocking, considering Scan in particular were happy to take my money over a month ago.  All I have had in terms of an update is a half arsed non-answer from Jacob on Twitter, which to be fair it was still better than anyone else has managed so far even if the reply was clearly more for the benefit of prospective customers instead of the one asking the question, and a meaningless weekly queue update from Scan.  Moved 2 places in the last three weeks...

Seriously frustrated by this now.

maybe less because a lot of ppl are cancelling their orders now. maybe these lower number mean ~15 cards and ~9 cancellations. we dont know. such a joke.

aaand this:
"this week we are expecting approximately 305 RTX 3080 and 105 RTX 3090 across all brands with still a few TBC shipments to confirm."
305! im curious how many cards evga will deliver. 305 cards out of 5 brands (pny and palit 0 preorders)... so there should be at least 50 evga cards... at least!

This is exactly it. The lack of cards in general is Nvidia's fault, but this different treatment of customers based on their geographical location (in officially supported countries) and the nonexistent communication are the reason why a company like EVGA will now loose (loyal) customers. Not only customers, but also their money EVGA would get from selling 3000 series cards and from future purchases (not only GPUs).

Cancelled my 3080 FTW gaming as well and with a Aorus Master that has an actually moving waiting list so....
Maybe EVGA can sort the EU out during the 4000s release.

Willing to give it a 2nd chance then

Goodbye EVGA. Long time fan and advocate - never seen anything like this. At least other companies are communicating. Feels like you literally couldn't give a toss about your EU fanbase.

I've cancelled my order, and it looks like a lot of other people are doing the same.

Looks like EVGA are resting on their laurels, much like what happened to Asus a number of years ago. Sad to see.

Best of luck to you.

Dear EVGA, I think I will just give up and cancel your order (germany). Heard great things before but what is good customer service if the product is not shipped in the first place. I ordered through CaseKing at 15:17 and people ordering other brands received their cards even ordered weeks later. First and last EVGA experience for me. Have fun with your US market.

I just got the tracking number for my 3080 ftw3 ultra. Bought at Megekko (dutch webshop).
What i know so far is that they got about 5 x 3080 ftw 3 ultra cards today. so their total amount is around 10 in 40 days after launch! And they even are a official EVGA reseller (partner)

I am gonna keep it sealed for a bit to see what AMD comes up with tomorrow.

I ordered a Rtx evga 3080 XC3 ultra gaming from Alternate.de on Thursday, October 22nd. Today I got the confirmation that my item is in stock and will be shipped this week. I recommend everyone who wants an Evga 3080 to order the evga xc3 ultra gaming from alternate. The probability of ordering an Evga RTX 3080 is currently greatest with alternate. Caseking I ordered a RTX ftw3 ultra gaming for the day of the release, but have not received any feedback from caseking.

That's not news at all. The wording would make you think it's currently implemented, but it's not what was said at all. Working on implementing =/= implementing it.
It has been repeatedly said " We are working on it, hope to have more news soon " and this kind of phrasing since two or three weeks already. Like in this instance October 14th (almost two weeks ago) : https://twitter.com/EVGA_...us/1316139961171636226

For AMD, we will also know (with a grain of salt) the performance because it's the most important factor, to put pressure and competition onto Nvidia. Price is second because, like AMD did for Ryzen until Zen 3, AMD were cheaper because some performance were lower, now Zen 3 is better than Intel so they increased their prices, no longer trying to be the cheaper option when they can be the performance option.

Yeah, it's taken them weeks to implement the queue system in the EU and considering they have a working system with the US it is shocking it has taken this long.
