this is the way to go, excellent mindset

heres an information found on pcgamer.com:
"EVGA has promised incoming shipments of RTX 3080s in their "thousands", although this will be spread thin over all regions and retailers globally. Stock will be spread across its own site, Amazon, and other retailers, and so far EVGA has not specified a time or date for availability."

Oh man, great to hear about someone in the EU finally recieving an FTW! Congrats!

Been badgering EVGA for information about the FTW EU release but had no luck so far, seems they could have just told us they are now arriving.

Sadly we are still waiting here in the Netherlands.
Pre-ordered the FTW at the two biggest shops here, position 7 and 12 in queue respectively, and so far not a single one has shipped sadly.

Really hoping to be surprised tommorow.

Aside from the occasional scalper Amazon US hasn't had any stock either. if you search from within Amazon US 3080s won't even show up, if you google 3080 Amazon they show up but just say unavailable. I saw one card for sale for $1300 2 weeks ago and that's it.

Well maybe but they have other big retailers there, NewEgg is like a beast when it comes to computer stuff, and it seems NewEgg was one of the primary target for stock.

Since EU countries are smaller in size and population, the only big (r)etailer that sells throughout the EU and therefore could be the easiest to touch a lot of people in one go, to my knowledge, is Amazon EU, so that would make sense that it would be the primary target for stock. Because to my knowledge, there isn't any specialized computer stuff retailer that sells throughout the EU, Amazon being the closest that you could find.

That is why I'm extremely disappointed in EVGA for not securing huge stock for Amazon EU. It is the safest, most reliable and fairest website I've ever used.
The current situation allows for places like Alternate.de to sell FTW3 Ultra for 964 Euros!! (1,134 US Dollars).

At this point I am pretty confident that there's someking of problem with the FTW3. Either because of this SPCAP story they had to rework the cards already produced or I don't know because people have received the XC3 and FTW3 ULTRA but the FTW3 is nowhere to be seen in Europe. Hell you can't even get a notification for it on the website.

I've had an Evga card since the GTX7** series and pushed several friend to purchase EVGA however the lack of communication with European customers is dampening my trust.

I've never found any 3080's on Amazon.co.uk, not sure if its just a UK thing but they are still not listing them.

It's good to see Scan getting some EVGA's finally but judging by their stock numbers they got about 30 in this week across the 5 3080 SKUs.. so going to be a long wait still until the shipments get  bigger.  Though there's another shipment due this week.

For now it seems even US got only Ultra or at least most of the FTW3 were Ultra. That's logical btw, you pointed out yourself they were fixing it. Once they managed to fix it, the cards they got were able to go high in clocks and therefore were Ultra. Those who don't go high enough get to be Non Ultra. So if they have a good selection at the start they get many Ultra and not many Non Ultra and over the many cards assembled and tested, day after day, Non Ultra stock is growing few by few while Ultra is growing way faster since their quality allows them to have good products.

As for Notification, turns out you can, or at least, you could. I managed to get signed up just around the time the product appeared on listing (I signed the 22nd of September) because only the Ultra was listed for a while, then the Non Ultra got up. It would seems if memory serves me right that the button disappeared when they worked on the vat issue. Since the vat was fixed the button hasn't appeared back however.

You have to bend Amazon's filters until you are able to check the " List unavailable product " and then it should appear. Btw, when searching, search with "FTW3 3080" WITH THE BRACKETS. It will signal to Amazon to list product that contain exactly those words together (so, no more 2080 FTW3 listed for example). " EVGA 3080 " will also work if you are looking for any 3080 from EVGA and don't care if it's a XC3 Ultra or Non Ultra or a FTW3 Ultra or Non Ultra.

We need Jacob to investigate what's happening and if something is blocking or delaying the shipments because he said shipments were sent and are continuing to be sent so there's something wrong like product quarantine or customs or issues like that because I don't know what's the issue otherwise. Unless they are sent to EVGA EU Warehouses then only at this point are they sent to retailers and listed on EU Store.

Honestly?

Us Europeans are not their main focus.

If you would tell me we won’t be supplied till after the US/CA market is completely satisfied, I would believe you straight away.

That said, the entire 3080/3090 availability in all European countries has been nothing but a massive failure. Not only EVGA, but MSI and Asus, Gigabyte and Nvidia themselves all seem to supply the US first.

We don’t even have E-Bay and Marktplaats cards listed, its like there is absolutely zero supply.

Only ZOTAC is shipping half decent quantities, but I don’t like their designs and quality.

TL;DR - As far as I’m aware all cards are manufactured in Asia and the US. Shipments could be delayed with COVID-19

I’m 11th in queue for a 3080 and I have been in this position since the launch at 15;04 on the 17th.

Oh by the way - According to Videocardz the 3080 20GB and 16GB 3070’s will be launched at December 2020.

Might be worth to just step out and wait for those models.

Right but if scan is anything to go by EVGA is one of the most popular brands this side of the pond, it would be quite silly if EVGA didn't have some sort of focus here.

Agreed. Seems weird that continental EU would be a week behind UK. Finland same thing, no cards in the country so far, 3080 nor 3090.

Please help out on this @EVGA_JacobF

Scan's faq page stated the evga shipment has arrived and the number of orders decreased by 4, I hope that they haven't updated it and that was just cancellations or something cause a shipment of 4 cards sounds... silly?

Has to be just not updated. Or new orders arrived almost the same amount of shipped ones.
If only 4 arrived its a problem.....

Re: What's going on with EU and 3080's? 2020/10/08 10:22:12 (permalink)
I have a similar experience:

I placed an order on CaseKing.de on the 18th of September for an EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra Gaming. I paid 850 EUR. Last week, the price was 900 EUR. Now it's 880 EUR.

The ETA never changed from Unknown so who knows when they will fulfil the order, I hope this month. Still, no store in Romania even sells EVGA 3080s so I have no other option than to wait.

Would've went with Overclockers or Scan, but those were much more expensie due to the pound conversion and they are only fulfilling UK and IE orders so probably it was a wise decision to go with Case King.

- 20Gb would be more expensive by 200$ most likely
- For every 3080 20gb assembled, that's a 10gb that isn't assembled, meaning lower supplies of the 10Gb (which is even counterproductive if you just want a card and don't need or don't want the 20Gb)
- That's considering the leaks are accurate and with twice caveats : that the 20Gb would indeed exist, and that the 20Gb would indeed release in December. Which is just rumors at this point and VideoCardz despite having good leaks also have and had bad totally wrong and inaccurate one in the past.
- Not many games uses and saturate 10Gb. GamersNexus did a test and saw that an older CoD (can't remember the video) was maxing out the VRAM of an high end GPU while it was clear that the game didn't use all the VRAM. The softwares don't make a distinction between used and allocated memory, for them allocated count as used memory even if the game don't actually use it.

- Not whole MSI is rotten. Still, it was clear that in some way, some MSI employees were involved to help Starlit scalp or at bare minimum to give them access and ship them the cards. And that's not acceptable. But like someone pointed out on another forum, just because people do bad **** doesn't mean your motherboard or GPU will catch sudden fire when the scalping is revealed. They still do good products (and bad products too) but they are clearly not acting right and in some cases indeed the only way to change things is money.
That being said, despite this, so many people want a card and they won't care that it's an MSI one or not. The fact scalpers exist do prove that people don't even care to pay twice (or more) the MSRP for the card, just to get a card on their hands / computer.
