Indeed. MSI is dead to me lol. If I go intel next time around, I'll most likely go full evga considering their customer service is fantastic.

I was thinking this also. I never have had a motherboard from EVGA but with the situation Nividia put their partners in giving them no time to get ready, and the communication EVGA has done. I might need to see how good their motherboards are. I already use there power supplies and GPUs.

Yeah I used to love MSI. My last two motherboards were MSI, and they're great. But MSI has definitely been going into a dark place over the last couple of years, and I have lost a lot of respect for them as a company. I'm thinking my next motherboard might have to be evga or something.

MSI is acting like they didn't know anything about what they did or that it was some type of "system issue". They didn't realize that such a large quantity of their own product, one of the hottest selling items in the digital world, isn't in their inventory any longer? Don't believe it for one second. They knowingly did it and they tried to do it behind Nvidia's back.

I am not surprised. What annoys me is that right now: if you needed to build a rig your going to end up paying more then list for a 20 series card that's also going to be used, no other viable choices. Your then going to end up stuck with that card until some time in late 2021.. maybe summer.. before you can replace it with a 30 series. So right now the GPU situation is even worse then when I built this rig that I am using to type this message on.. back in May/June. I am just happy I am not an MSI customer because after reading this story I am banning their equipment from my home office. Also, at least EVGA is doing something that MSI and others are not, they are at least trying to get to the customers that tried to get a GPU on the 16th - 17th of September, the beginning of all this, the GPU that they wanted. True, its unlikely the rest of us will see anything until after the holidays. But it should be noted that NO OTHER MANUFACTURER is doing this. What this means to me is that my next rig might be completely EVGA, if I can get the parts I want. I would also need to switch to intel from AMD.. but maybe that's for the best.. who knows. I just like running equipment from brands I like. When I used to be more into building computers and playing games, back 10 years ago this sort of thing was not an issue. You wanted parts? You could get them. The experience I have had this time, building: 1. GPUs are incredibly overpriced, over list price, and sometimes you buy new and you get used. 2. All components are hard to get at list price and getting sent a deflective part or a used but sold as new is a reality. 3. Motherboards, even high end ones, are delicate... used to be that you could flash a bios if you needed to, do an update and 9 times out of 10 no issues. Now, if you are advised to flash due to an issue your likely RMAing that board and waiting months for a new one. The equipment companies like MSI are selling are not as reliable as they used to be.
---Main Rig Build ---CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, CPU Cooler: NZXT X73 360, GPU: EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra, MB: ASUS CH VIII Formula, RAM: 64GB G.Skill Trident RGB 3600, Storage: 2TB Adata M.2, 2TB WD SSD, 500GB WD SSD, Case: Thermaltake ARGB View51

Yeah, this was a big story overnight and on Reddit, but it has already been corrected by MSI Taiwan, so I would venture to guess that all of the issues came from MSI US.
Also, this isn’t about EVGA 30 series, so I am moving it over to the Computer Industry News, as I feel this is actually news worthy.

Steve doesn't seem to care who he offends. That's why I love that channel. Although it hurts a little when he tears apart brand new GPUs that we can't get our hands on...

I always worried and suspected this could be the new future where companies will hide behind the scalping veil to increase their $$$ and scam the consumer. Shame on them.

This story is a big bunch of nothing to be honest, guy at subsidiary buys some personal cards using employee discount and flips on ebay using company account because they're an idiot lol. People do this most famously with Intel CPUs all the time they just don't use company ebay accounts. Ever wonder where all those new or engineering samples end up on ebay? Yeah I've gotten a lot from guys at companies that take them after saying they were using them for testing or personal use. Having same address doesn't mean anything either tbh, guy that used to own my company I work for had 2 independent companies both owned by him at our location but we all operate independently he just made money off of us, this is really common for sub-companies.

fine then use a personal account and not the subsidiary company and it's credibility and trust to the public and the starlit partner is owned and trademarked by MSI computer corp - so yeah it is owned by the other and in the same building and address to me it just a way to have shader deals and sell not up to par stuff(refurbished) under a name the doesn't use MSI there is nothing MSI can't do under it own name- heck they are in the same building -just get rid of the subsidariary name and be up front about ALL your sales evga sells just about everything (welll more and more items each year) and refurbished why can't MSI??????
