My old Antec EA-750 easily powered a 3090FE and then an EVGA 3080TI XC3. Both are 2x8 pin cards though.

Powering a 3090ftw3 ultra with zero issues on an Evga 850w G+. I've done overclocked load tests, no issue, but I run it with an agressive undervolt, as The card easily hits 60fps 4K at the rated 1800mhz. So I get to sip along at 230-290w load, and have room for the future to speed it up.

My seasonic 1300w platinum (ssr-1300pd) powered my 3090 kingpin at 600+ watts without issue. 😁

I have a Evga 1000 watt T2 PSU and runs fine on a Asus Stix OC 3090, couldnt get a Evga card when the time came so using this

3090 FTW3 with a Seasonic Prime TX-1000. Previously had an EVGA 850GQ. Both PSUs run the card with no issues, just some coil whine from the 850GQ under heavy load.

KP 3090 & Seasonic TX-850W / Titanium (manufactured 2021) is a go -p4r4-
I just wanted to share my experience with a Seasonic TX-850 and RTX 3090 FE with random reboots.
What is the manufacturing date? This can be easily taken from the S/N - first digits are the year and month. Using a Seasonic Titanium 850W with a 3090 KP, had also some random sudden restarts (could only see Kernel 41 in event viewer), these were quite annoying, after reading some similar stuff on forums apparently these power supplies had issues with the transient loads, the OCP/OPP too aggressive also GRW flaw. So even if a hard test like linpack or OCCT is passing, instantaneous change in power draw in games could give surprises though... By the way, I discovered that AC Odyssey or WD Legion Benchmarks beat any synthetic stress app =)) Hours of RealBench, prime95, OCCT, linpack etc passed, but after 3-4 runs of these benchmarks system was crashing :)) The only workaround I saw back then is to undervolt the video card. Another workaround is to contact Seasonic, or even apply directly for RMA on their website. Their support is excellent to say the least, everything went smooth and pretty fast. Shipment fee to their center is on customer, they will send back a brand new one with FedEx or UPS. Once they received the old power supply, they shipped the replacement the very same day, within hours. Apparently they are aware of the problem, since the 3080/3090 issues Seasonic performed adjustments here and there, so the 2021 power supplies should have this problem solved (this applies also to their Platinum or gold models). The new power supply received is manufactured March 2021 (S/N starts with 2103) and so far never had restarts since. As a side note, this might be confusing, SSR-850TR is a safety reference used for both PRIME Ultra and PRIME TX in 850W (although they are different animals), as long as any change doesn't require new safety certification, two product with different name can use it.

I'm actually in an RMA queue right now with Seasonic. I am still deciding what to do but I don't think I will do an Advanced RMA. I have a X series X-850 that has started causing reboots in one game and randomly during OCCT Power Stress test. Its from 2017 so its not so new. They did say in return I would probably get a Focus GX 850 or a Focus GX Prime 850 if I did an advanced RMA. But this is all dependent on stock. Its also because I complained since they were going to send me the same model I have back but refurbished. I'm going to buy a 1000w EVGA G6 and just send my X850 in to Seasonic when I get the new PSU. Curious to see if I'll get a refurbished model back or not. I may just keep that one as a back up in that case or sell it.

I know some of you have had issues with the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA but mine has been flawless with Eco mode turned off since newly purchased in June alongside my FTW3 3080 Ti and 5600X combination. For what it’s worth!

losing alot of performance @4k resolution no ray tracing AAA games @ultra/high for you.that 60fps is out the door.

My PSU is 2 years old :( (PRIME ULTRA TITANIUM 1000W). I have a 3090 ULTRA FTW3 since Dec 2020 and never had a problem until a month ago when the reboots started. Lower the power limit to 70% (maximum consumption in 290w) and the pc did not turn off anymore. I think my problem is the PSU. With the new prime titanium TX the problem was solved? record this video:

60fps is out the door.
My 3080 FTW3 Hybrid was pretty effective at 60-110hz 4K120 VRR at ~2,100mhz and 350-425w.

I always go over what is needed. The psu doesnt break a sweat and doesnt have to work at 3/4 or more load.

Interesting. Have you tried some good OC's with the power limit all the way up? I had the same combo and it tripped protection on the PSU twice.

I have a prime ultra 1000w with a 3090 ftw3 ultra. In 9 months it worked perfect, but now it started to reboot.
Try a new PSU. I went with the SF 1000w Leadex Plat SE, they go on sale for $190 at Newegg. Also - does the system just completely shut off instantly (PSU protect), or does the screen go black and the system keeps running with the fans on the card spinning fast (GPU protect) then reboot. If it's GPU protect you could have a problem with the card. We can't see your youtube video link but if you post the video id code we can look it up.

WHY? The OP created a thread asking what GPU & what PSU people own but never explained why he wants to know. Am I missing something? Shouldnt any PSU work with any gpu barring the fact somebody would spend $1200-$3000 on a gpu & pair it with a $50 450watt psu. I mean I know there are stupid people out there but nobody would really do this right? Common sense tells you that even a 750/850 watt is sketchy w/ a 450watt+ gpu Does anybody know the difference between the v1 Supernova 1300G2 that came with red pcie cables & red ouputs on the PSU vs the newer version thats all black? Are they made by the same vendor? Or is it as simple as just adding ECO mode or something? Maybe EVGA could answer if Jacob or somebody passes through?

How long have you been using these power supplies with the 3090?
I have a prime ultra 1000w with a 3090 ftw3 ultra. In 9 months it worked perfect, but now it started to reboot.
Try a new PSU. I went with the SF 1000w Leadex Plat SE, they go on sale for $190 at Newegg.
Also - does the system just completely shut off instantly (PSU protect), or does the screen go black and the system keeps running with the fans on the card spinning fast (GPU protect) then reboot. If it's GPU protect you could have a problem with the card.

I believe that it is the protection of the psu. In gmaing the pc turns off completely and after 2 seconds it turns on by itself. I lowered the power limit of the card to 70% (the consumption is close to 300w), I played for hours and I only had a reboot. With the power limit at 100% the restarts were constant. The strange thing is that for 9 months I had no problems and now it begins to turn off. You can find the video I recorded on youtube: "Seasonic prime ultra titanium 1000 reset problem!". It's 34 seconds.
