(Not sure if this is in the correct forum, I'm sure mods will move it if appropriate)
Just sold my 2080ti ftw3 on fleabay and since theres currently 820 days remaining on the warranty I would like to transfer it to the new owner.
So do i just have to unregister the card from the "my products" bit on the myevga site and then they'll be able to register it? Or are warranties non transferable?

They will be able to register it under there name even though its still registered under your name, i wouldn't unregister it from your name until the purchaser is sure they are going to keep it and its beyond the return period. The warranty will be valid from the original ship date from evga for the new owner.

Extended warranties are nontransferable, however the base 3 year warranty will apply to any owner of the card. That's 3 years from when it left EVGA's warehouse, not 3 years from when you purchased it for the second owner. Have the new owner register the card and it will show them how many days left on warranty it has.

Thanks all, it was just the standard warranty (3yr?), I haven't de-registered it yet, hopefully the new owner will let me know if they have any issues registering.
+ on the my products bit on myevga, I never de-registered either of my 1080ti's when I sold them either, and nobody ever complained, so I should be good :)

You are correct ... you do Not need to de-register --> new owner can still register the product

What if I sold my GPU and the buyer only transfered the money to my bank account? He didn't add any description to the transfer. Will the proof of transfer still work or? If not, what should we do?

Give the buyer a receipt that includes the serial number.

How do I "generate a receipt" with a serial number? Can I just hand him the original receipt of when I purchased the GPU? It has the serial number.

The receipt has to show your name and the person's name you sold it to, adding the serial number is for good measures. You type it out in word pad, print out and hand it to them. If you can't hand it to them, save the word document and email it to them.

Ok, will do that. Thank you for your help!
