I updated my EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra to the latest vbios for Resizable Bar. I have a Z390 Aorus Master with the F11n bios (latest) which includes Resizable Bar support. When the system rebooted after update the vbios, i got no picture on my screen. I ended up switching my video card to the other bios and was finally able to get back into the system. I disabled Resizable Bar in the bios, switched it back to the update vbios and the system booted fine but still no resizable bar.
 
Gigabyte has not posted an updated bios. Not sure where the disconnect is between the motherboard and gpu. Wondering if the Z390 was never meant to support Resizable Bar...

Do you have CSM enabled or disabled on your mobo bios? For it to work has to be on disabled, and if you disable it, your windows install must be on GPT not MBR, if you have it on MBR, windows wont boot.

Need to contact MB vendor on this one if it is enabled in BIOS that is showing a BIOS issue.

flashing this made the card not boot and i had to revert the bios on my 3090 kingpin. 

*PSA* if you are getting permanent black screens after saying Y to confirm VBIOS update in PX1

Using a 3080 FTW3 Ultra myself.. when I went to PX1 to update VBIOS, the CMD window popped up to confirm VBIOS update, says "Y" to confirm. Typed Y, my displays went off, no video signal.. I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out why it's not coming back on after the prompt said only that it may flicker or go off for about 6 seconds.. I called EVGA support, they had nothing for me (actually shocked to hear that they had no clue how to resolve it).. I randomly pressed the ENTER key on my keyboard, and my screens came back up.. turns out you can "Press any key to abort".  Why didn't tech support know this?  So it aborted the VBIOS update and gave me video signal again.

I decided to turn on my Chrome remote desktop, remoted in via my cell phone, and started the VBIOS update again.

After doing so, my screens went black, checked on my PC via my phone, and saw that the CMD window for the VBIOS update was still running, but not doing anything.. after about 30+ seconds, the cursor started flashing in the CMD window.. so I decided to type Y to confirm again, and then it started updating the VBIOS, which took no time at all, and my screens came back.

Turns out, I think my system was honestly just too fast and never let me hit the Y key before turning the displays off, so I freaked out. All is good now.. hope this helps someone.

TLDR; if your screens go black and don't come back, wait about 30-60 seconds, and hit the Y key again.

Which bios on the FTW should be updated? Is this the new OC bios?

I have the same motherboard. Follow these steps:
 

1. First you will need to turn off CSM (Compatibility Support Module), or make sure it’s disabled. Go to the Boot menu and look for a CSM / Compatibility Support Module option.
2. Set CSM (Compatibility Support Module) to Disabled.
3. Go to the Advanced menu and look for the PCI Subsystem. In other motherboards, look for PCIe / PCI Express configuration options.
4. Enable Above 4G Decoding.
5. This will give you access to the Re-Size BAR Support option. Set it to Auto.
6. Now go to the Exit menu, and select Save Changes & Reset.
7. It will ask you to confirm the changes. Just verify both, and click OK.

Thanks!  I was hoping it was a mistake from the above poster.  ASUS had pretty clear directions on their site and rebar has been in their BIOS for several versions now.  Cannot wait to set this up once I get done with work!

I'm having the issue of the fan speed not going below 30%.  Before the update I could get it to stop, but not anymore.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling X1 with no luck.  My card is a 3080 Ultra with a hybrid kit installed.  VBIOS version 94.02.42.80.31

Hey try downloading this and manually updating the bios. PX1 gave us the wrong bios for the hybrids it seems but mine is 100%working now after manually downloading this bios.

When I flash 1000w with rebar in precision. It flashes a 450w rebar enabled bios instead. How to fix this ?

did all my bios,driver, etc updating on my MSI MEG x570 ACE and EVGA 3090 Ultra FTW3 and Nvidia says I'm good.

but X1 doesn't so I don't think it can properly figure it out. My Bios is updated for sure and enabled.
 
 
Since the driver thinks i'm good I'm assuming it will work regardless of what X1 says? Any suggestions?

ya i fixed my issue but it wasn't the motherboard setting some reason precision didn't flash the correct vbios . was able to flash with the 3898_OC_450W file. which give me vbios 94.02.42.80.fc for the 3080 ftw3 ultra hybrid rebooted pc and now it rebar is enable

Where did you find the VBIOS to flash with?

Lemmein's link worked for me. Seems like if you're using a 3080 FTW3 Hybrid Ultra 450w you get the wrong VBIOS version from Percision X1, but Percision says that your Motherboard isnt configured correctly even though its the VBIOS causing the issue not the motherboard.
