Use the X1 1.1.8 he linked above and the current driver apparently enables it, X1 will update your bios to the resizeable BAR one :)

I don't get it.
I thought X1 isn't supposed to update your bios, it only applies firmware updates.

Well it is from the official Evga website, maybe it hasn't been listed yet, takes web admins time to post it. Figured someone just grabbed the 1.1.7.0 download link and changed it to 8, seen that done many times. But it is working.

So the new version does include vBIOS update.
Not sure how it deals vBIOS slots so I haven't updated yet.

Well actually it's a official EVGA XC3 bios on the card, I don't deal with EVGA directly for RMA, in Australia it's handled by the retailer, I'd highly doubt EVGA will have that BIOS update out in the wild if they are black listing it. If they do release a 1.1.9.0 version in the next few hours we'd be updating to that anyway.

You mean bye RMA because of a vbios ? I mean, as long as you have one original bios, it doesn't matter at all.

Guess myself and the others on other forums were lucky, man you'd have to have bad luck for that to happen where you can't flash back to the original vbios.

hehe i launched PX1 1.18, i got a firmware update when i launched it, but i got a gigabyte 3060ti sitting under my evga 3080. It enabled resizable bar on it but not on my 3080. *confused*

I lied, last post about it. from the EVGA warranty page. - Defects or damages resulting from improper testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, or adjustment not furnished or approved by EVGA.

There's definitely no 1.1.9.0 version, so I'd say the 1.1.8.0 is the release, just web admins take their sweet time

Works perfectly. Just have overseen the extra tab with rebar to update. I thought the update after launching PX1 was enough. Thanks EVGA

I assume you can just disable it through mb bios if not a happy camper. No harm no foul.
Indeed, however with Nvidia there's is no need. They have pre tested games and re bar is only applied on a per game basis (kind of like sli profiles, rebar has profiles too). So only games that benefit from it will have it enabled (regardless if the driver or GPUz says it's "enabled" that's just if your system is capable).
IMHO it's a better solution than AMDs that has it enabled all the time, to the point that some games don't benefit or even see regression of performance.
