My case: evga dark x299, 7820x, PSU1000 seasonic, gskill 8Gbx2 3000 and Gtx 1080ti. I use for daly works, relax,... not for hard Oc.
The problem: whenever i remove the power AC from the switch, the ratio limit is turn back x45. I set in bios that default optimize(the cpu ratio limit will max in x43), ram 2666, the power ac still plugin so i reset or sutdown it still right, x43 and ram bus 2666.
But when AC power removed from switch about 5 minutes, the ram bus or any things i set in bios still right, only what things a set onl Tab cpu were changed, it turned back x45 all cores. If the cmos dont save why the ram bus or any things still right? Only the cpu changed.
Many thanks for your help.

    When you received your X299 Dark Motherboard did you replace the CMOS Battery Before you installed the Motherboard?
    See X299 DARK - hard boot, getting "CMOS checksum error" ----> DEAD CMOS Battery

    I'd start with the battery

    no idea why the CMOS does not loose all of your settings ---> is everything else set to Auto ?

    Open BIOS & "Save default" then reboot

    Open BIOS & edit your changes & reboot

    PC work as intended ?

    Shutdown, pull the plug ---> if you loose any setting = battery

    A had changed a new battery alredy. And test by the step:
    • Open BIOS -> edit:
    - ratio 8 cores = 42
    - mesh 24->26,
    - ram auto->2666
    -> save and restart -> pc work as intended
    • shutdown -> pull the plug and wait about 5minutes -> power on -> check infor from hw64, cpuZ:
    - ram 2666
    - Mesh 26
    - but the ratio all core run at x45 LoL
    What prolem is it? Is it kidding me???

    Sounds like a bios bug. Can you reproduce the issue on newer & older bios versions?

    I try to use 3 difference of bios switch
    - Bios1: 1.18 (flash bios as manual way)
    - Bios 2: 1.12
    - Bios 3: 1.07
    And the issue still appears, the same way, the same issue, x45 of ratio :(

    Ah, the beep code of my mobo is 4, beep-beep-beep-beep. The led code is normal, i don’t see any report of issue code.

    Sorry to hear that. There are still a few older versions to try. Might want to give them a shot too.
