This is EVGA. The #1 seller of NVIDIA GPUS in the world. They sell 2-3x more than other companies.
 
So why are they the LAST to get cards?

estimated shipdate for wave 1 is may 1st, may 8th for 2nd wave of preorders.
If May 1st, be hopeful it ships a tiny bit earlier than that hah. We're already under 30days away :)
 
It did state this for the people that were able to preorder, if you didnt make the preorders... then well mid to late may for next waves of preorders to obtain.

Yeah, not gonna lie, having to wait an extra 4 weeks is kinda lame

Yep and even then you dont know if that "estimated shipping" will have further delays as time approaches. Hope the Strix shows up so I can cancel the evga pre-order. Ill gladly take the premium cooling solution of the strix.

How do you know it is premium? We haven't had a single review on the FTW3. As far as we know it will out perform the strix.

I take it that you havnt compared the specs, and seen the benchmarks and performance tests including temperature with card under full load for the strix. I honestly doubt the ICX will be able to best what strix has to offer, atleast with the temps. Not to mention the 2.5 slot cooler using the highest quality materials. I wanted the FTW 3 as my #1 choice, as my current card is a 1080 FTW and it served me well..but honestly, a month out is an easy decision for me. There are other cards like the Aorus that you can get your hands on right now with better specs out the box.

You honestly sound like an Asus ad campaign. Why can't the ICX beat the temps of the strix? It isn't like asus is some god tier air cooling company that spends millions of dollars on design. What spec is better on the  Aorus? It has lower clock speeds even in OC mode then if we look at other features like power phases it loses again. The strix has 25Mhz over the FTW3 which really doesn't mean anything as every card should be able to hit 1700 without any issues. You can keep saying other products are better but that statement means nothing until you reviewers get a FTW3 and have the ability to test it.

The month wait doesn't matter as I already have a 1080ti. It is just annoying to see people like you come in and try to bash a product that isn't even out yet for being inferior. Show us the proof that it is inferior. This reply basically shows you have nothing to counter the argument with. Go buy your strix and enjoy not having a warranty because you can't live with your 980ti for another 28 days.

They have multiple cards I looked at the wrong one. So it has 80Mhz on the core. OMG SO GUD MAYNE. So far you are the only one that has bashed anyone with your assumptions on the FTW3. If you want to buy a card from a manufacturer that has terrible CS so you can have it 28 days quicker then you do that. My opinion shouldn't matter and it is a little funny how mad you are getting about it. 

Is patience a virtue? It's worth the wait and EVGA didn't even claim my money, just the order, so there's no real contract binding me down. This waiting actually helps me think a little bit through, before I get it shipped to me. So far even though I got shorted on the FTW3 I think the SC2 will be sufficient and worth wait. My 980ti is still destroying most games. I think EVGA is doing just fine with release dates, perhaps a little long for the FTW3, but as long as it works a long time? It's good 'nuff.

Can evga please let me (us) know when a review of the ftw3 will be available. There seems to be a lot of people ready to jump off their preorders in light of increasing availability of other aftermarket ti's. I find it a little worrying that evga are possibly holding back on reviews due to cooling/overclocks being comparable to what is already available and in stock from other brands. Please at least put our minds at ease and show us what this ftw has got, because I'm starting to have my doubts. 1 month behind the rest of the market is really dropping the ball...

I have a strong feeling inside me that the FTW3 will be a strong performer in the overall lineup. EVGA sound confident too, and they have no reason to lie, they have a large following and a reputation to keep. Just be patient, the cards aren't going to evaporate, they will be available at some point then we will get a review.
 
I do not believe the strix will be that much better than FTW3, in fact i think the FTW3 will beat the strix, we will see.

This is Pascal. PASCAL.  It doesn't matter if you got a Founders or the FTW3, Strix OC or MSI Seahawk X. They'll all hit a limit in the 2GHZ to 2.1GHZ range, and under full load, 99% usage for any sustained amount of time, struggle to keep above 2GHZ.  That's just how Pascal is, especially this almost full GP102.
