When will step up from 1080 Ti FE to FTW3 be available ?

I mean May may be after the 90 days period since I purchased mine when it came out...

It won't. You can never step up from reference to custom PCB.

Well, I am (Deleted for Foul Language) with a noisy version of the card then.

Conditions weren't that clear to me, I should have asked before.

Will try to revert my purchase and go to something else but I think it is too late for 2 days...

You can step up to a SC Black most likely. But not a FTW3.

Hi Guys,

Anyone here from UK? I see pre order stock available on the EU site for FTW3. And it looks pretty cheap too all costs considred. I can't imagine it being that cheap from any UK suppliers once it ships in May.

What are issues with buying from the EU site if you are a UK resident? Longer shipping? I.e. what's the catch.

I know there shouldn't be any hidden fees as technically were still part of EU post Brexit, no customs tax apply right now.

duostyle,

I can confirm that there must be a error with the Pre-order request that you tried to place and I recommend to place the Pre-order once more as I do not see it on your account.

Good to know Chris! I'll try it again soon.

I don't see why there would be any catch. You will receive an estimate for shipping and like you said there shouldn't be other fees.

I asked one of my friends and he says there shouldn't be an issue either - as I've never bought from an EU site before I didn't want to gamble with this much cash.

Sounds good, guess I'll go ahead and order one now.

Cheers

Just waiting on the email.

"Hello, we're happy to announce your FTW3 order will now instead ship on 4/4/17 instead of 5/1/17"

I wish this true. It's going to be a tough April with no GPU for me.

I got Persona 5 coming, but still, if a Strix or the AUROS comes up. Goodbye FTW3.  They're cheaper and just as good and will be here sooner.

Love EVGA, but they dropped the ball.

The Gigabyte Auros is up for order on the 4th. It has higher clocks than the FTW3...and is 720$. It will ship same day.  Their community manager even took early pre-orders through Facebook(Didn't get into it myself, sigh...)

Supposedly stock shouldn't be a problem, either. So I am excited. 4 year Warranty on the Extreme Version(750$) as well. Considering the FTW is 780$ without Instant Rebate, and the AUROS is 720, but features as good cooling and better stock clocks for 60$ less, I can't help but see EVGA as having dropped the ball. It also has 12+2 Phases instead of 10+2, AND an extra DisplayPort.

I'm more interested in this whole Elite custom color model thing from EVGA.
Looks pretty cool and my my EVGA 980 Ti SC ACX 2.0+ is doing fine so there's time to wait.
Question is though what makes one an Elite member?

Yeap.

Pascal is pascal. I'm just saying, it's cheaper and likely will perform as good as the FTW3...and actually has availability.

It's the same price and 'availability' is in the hands of Nvidia. It isn't by accident that not a single custom AIB or AIO cooler is out despite the reference board design being known for months.

Just a notice to UK members, paypal charge an absurd fee for the exchange rates. You end up paying a high premium when converting euros to gb pounds. Just beware and check the rate so you know.

I didn't get an option other than to use paypal.

Is there any legal way to transfer a pre-order?

Somehow I ended up with two FTW3's on Pre-order, but I just ended up getting a Gigabyte Auros Pre-order in Early.  Now, none of this would've been possible without the awesome folks @ nowinstock.net - A lot of them missed pre-orders on the FTW3 and they still want it. Just wondering if there would be anyway to like, transfer it to them via support or should I just cancel the Pre-orders and tell them to watch the store page?

If you ask me everyone dropped the ball except Inno3D I mean check this bad boy out: http://www.inno3d.com/pro.cts_detail.php?refid=283
I hop that worked I am on my phone. Anyways it has X4 the iChill of any other 1080ti, and rumor has it, it's 35% faster than your average 1080. That is a lot of X's and %s if you ask me.
Besides, it has 4 fans not this schoolyard 3 fans business.

Still waiting on a response from EVGA from the first wave of preorders. Now there is a second wave of preorders and yet I still have not got clarification on my order from the first wave. Got an email from EVGA saying that my Preorder for 1080 ti FTW3 has been confirmed and placed, had the $1.00 evga authorization charge but I do not have the pre-order for the card showing in my Order History. I emailed EVGA and posted here in these forums about my situation and have yet to receive a response. I would just love some clarification as to whether I was able to pre-order the card or not. Any response will be appreciated. Not trying to bash EVGA by any means and I understand how product releases can be a very busy time.

No worries they will take care of you if you contacted them :) EVGA support is the best.

   True.

UPDATE: You guys were right. EVGA support IS the best.

The regular ground is the free shipping option only. I remember seeing it in the preorder flow.
As everything else, it ships directly from EVGA in Brea, CA.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a pre-order through the EU site too for the FTW3, a pre-order for EVGA FE on amazon AND on ebuyer. Whoever wins gets my money :D
As per your previous question, Brexit should not affect laws and customs regulations for at least 12 to 16 months and even after actually leaving the EU i wouldn't think that will make much difference in trading, thanks to still being part of EEA.

Edit: i contacted EVGA CS a few days ago to check if i can make a payment through a VISA or MasterCard and i was told PayPal is the only option on EU purchases.

Cheers for the info! Yeah I think a member selected paypal on the EU site then made sure no conversion took place i.e. his card gets charged in euro amount. I think that way your bank would set the rates by default, and it would be more favorable.
Yeah I should have done that :( lol anyways, still worked out really cheap. EU price is a steal.

Re: Pre-orders for EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 and FTW3 coming 28/03/2017 2017/03/31 07:16:10 (permalink)
Does anyone know when reviewer will get GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 to review? Any chance if they will get it before the product ships. I've already pre-order the FTW3 just want to see the PCB design and the cooling.
