i just install it and its doesn't launch,you guys testing it first before release it?...are you guys just playing dum?...as start to loosing faith in EVGA,if they technicien suck..i don't wont to go to the lab. reverting back not to previous version. (Deleted for Foul Language) .tired of those buggys update

EVGA_PrecisionX_16 has stopped working
 
when I launch it shows up in the task manager but does not come up to use it this happened after the update to (EVGA_PrecisionX_16_Setup_v5.3.9)
I uninstalled it deleted all files and folders and reinstall it and still having the same issue
 
I am running
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
16 gigabytes of RAM 
(EVGA video card) NVIDIA GTX 680 4 gigabyte
 
    I'm just wondering if anybody else had this issue
I even try to roll back versions and still nothing

5.3.9.1 worked after a restart
Win 10 Pro, i7 3770k 16 gb ram @1600 gpu evga gtx680SC
To those still having problems, Official version is 5.3.9
Download 5.3.9.1

With 5.3.9, I had the same issues as others here. 5.3.9.1 fixed the issue for me.

Ok, having problems keeping the fan curves synched with the 5.3.9.1's.  GPU2 will not save the curve (yes, both cards are linked), keeps reverting back to default.  No CPU temp list showing...I will probably just revert back to the 5.3.8's.

Too bad it doesn't even open in windows 10 Pro 64 bit no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall it. Reverted to 5.3.8 and it works fine. Nice broken piece of junk you made here with 5.3.9.

Was busy downloading MSI Afterburner when I came across this, downloading now to see if this fixes the original version not launching properly. Wasted a few hours today trying to figure out what was going on :/

Just confirmed, this is now working for me as well. Have not tried a restart though, that is where the last one broke :/

v5.3.9.1 work for me now, thanks EVGA!
 
Update:
08.11.2015 01.15am .ast
OSD is not as stable as the v5.3.8 after an hour of online gaming. It turns off while gaming and makes windows turn off Aero and goes into basic then windows switches back to Aero after a few seconds.
 
Patiently waiting on a newer more stable version. Going back to v5.3.8.

Same issue here with SLI fans.  I set both fan curves the same and only one cards fans spin up when I reboot.  I have to open Precision and click on the card that is not working and then the fans spin up.   Plus I dont remember needing to set the fan curves separately when the cards are linked.  I think I'm going back to 5.3.8.
 
EDIT: Confirmed, 5.3.8 links fan curves for SLI.  I set one curve, rebooted and both cards fans spun up.  On 5.3.9, there is something wrong with the SLI fan curves.

I updated PrecisionX 16 5.3.9 Release from a working version windows 10 and it won't even start up click the icon and nothing happens????? OK I tried the updated link 5.3.9.1 and its working

I seem to be having issues since I updated. It will "run", but I can't find it on my screen or anywhere else. I've tried re-downloading a bunch of times, and it worked when I downloaded the steam version, but it started having the same problem when I closed it and tried to open it again. Anyone else having the same issue? The fix is to read through the thread. It is a very simple process.. Now, below you will see a quote... I would request that once you read it, you go back and look at just how many times it has been shared.... If you had looked just a few posts above yours, even one above, you would see that the Fox has been posted in this thread since Friday.

Does it get annoying constantly force feeding this quote over and over... Take a guess.

Still don't work for me. I tried the 5.3.9.1 but don't work.
Does not show the "evga" icon, don't show the evga picture.
Gong back to 5.3.8. doing it's work. :)

I was having the same issue as other users. Installed this version and now it's working just fine.

Original 5.3.9 was a non starter for me.  Win10 x64. 
 
I will install the updated version and see if it works.  I reverted back to 5.3.8 (it works fine).

Yes, set them separately for now. Hopefully EVGA will see this tomorrow.

If you scroll back through the posts, you aren't the only one experiencing this.

I installed 5.3.9, then later 5.3.9.1 - both must set SLI fan curves separately but neither 5.3.9 nor 5.3.9.1 saves the fan curve settings once Precision X is closed. The custom fan curves work fine as long as you don't close Precision X. I have to re-customize the fan curves for both cards each time after Precision X is closed or the machine is rebooted.
 
No big deal - I've re-installed 5.3.8 for the time being and all is well.

5.3.9.1 did allow for it to actually load, but now an EVGA Precision X Server process is spiking CPU usage about every 5 seconds. I assume it's related to some sort of 5000ms polling. :/

windows insider 10 64 bit crashed . comp was running an then just black screen to a reboot . this was a sea of red under the problem solvers. good news was this confused the m soft tecs that kept back ending my comp so im happy for the crashing :D . reformatted back to win 7 pro 64 was still having the problem as well as it not launching wen you hit the uninstall the dea3 file gives a problem then message you have to restart the computer . if you don't again a black screen in a few min again still looking in to that problem no biggy now that im home in win 7

working fine now thoe I see there was a missing file I missed in deleting 3.8 in seeing I shot both ways of tossing the folder an also using the 3.8 up loader . you might want to look in to why it saves the profile like that :) thank you for the link its working just fine . sorry I wont be heading back to the insiders 10 thoe ill send an email to the tec up in Seattle  again thank you for the program your track record is been rock hard great :) hugs
