Pretty certain that someone has stated this somewhere on this thread... Nvidia warranty is not the same as EVGA's warranty. EVGA's far surpasses Nvidia's any day in anyone's life. Speculation: Chances are they are probably in the written negotiation stages with Nvidia, because this would require the user to take off Nvidia's shroud, which (in theory), could void the warranty (or totally void the warranty in this case), if Nvidia wanted to say so. So, it really sounds like they are working out a negotiation, or this whole thing is a no/go, because of the plan above, and you're all wasting your time. Even though EVGA is Nvidia's best OEM partner, each company still has to follow warranty guidelines. Let's hope that choice is A is the matter of what could possibly taking so long. We can't forget that lawyers are probably involved in it too, regarding the warranty. This is what I'm thinking, don't take my word for it.

Secondly, Not quite sure none of you have posted this on Nvidia's forum page, titling "Petition for EVGA Titan X Hybrid kit"; Nvidia techs don't really come on this site.

EVGA cannot just come straight out and say "Yes! There will be a Hybrid kit coming!" This will never happen, nor will they hint to you that it's coming until it's finally released. Both Nvidia and EVGA have to come to an agreement, and mostly this will be a yes or no answer from Nvidia, not EVGA. Nvidia is the one that's going to honor the warranty for the video card, not EVGA, EVGA is only providing the cooler. This is the problem that I see on why it's taking so long; sounds like it's never been done before. Lots of negotiations everywhere.
evga Jacob already responded on page 2 that the kit was happening.

Also, over on overclock.net, a user was attempting to install a full cover water block and his screw driver slipped and damaged the board. He explained to NVIDIA what happened and the honored the warranty anyways. Nvidia seems to have a decent warranty stance.

Nvidia is a company like any other to make always more cash. 1080 ti will give them more cash so will see. Maybe they changed their plan and will release a new architecture quicker but I really doubt. They do not have any competition so they rule the game!

Back to Hybrid kit, I hope they will do the kit for the Titan. I might buy the 1080 kit and mod it to fit but I would prefer just install something design for it. It would be a shame to buy the 1080 kit and 1 week later the titan kit comes out...

Thats why a simple yes or no from EVGA would help a lot!!

I can tell you that you wouldnt regret it, having the titan running at 50c is amazing with OC. Now if the titan hybrid came out with RGB led on the shroud or perhaps a redesigned shroud then maybe I would kick myself a bit but the 1080 hybrid kit matches my build well and I like the white led lights.

My Titan does 1900 MHz GPU clock, at 79 C, with Fans at 90%.

Can't wait to see what it does with this kit...even if it does the same, I will love the silence.

You're right, they did, but a lot of people are "demanding" to know when it comes out, which is why I felt the need to respond with what I provided. They're probably in the negotiation stage, and the only thing that would make sense (excluding Nvidia wanting their hands in the "money maker") is that this would cause Nvidia to re-write their warranty clause regarding the Pascal Titan using EVGA's hybrid kit. After all, the GPU is an Nvidia product, not an EVGA product, and it would have an EVGA cooler slapped onto Nvidia's product. That's all I see in the matter which would make it take so long. I could be wrong.

Hes not wrong though, the card has been out for over a month now and the  subtle changes they would need to make on the 1080 kit to make it fit a Titan PCB are very small. They quite literally need to remove material from the 1080 kit baseplate to make it fit a Titan and they could be selling coolers for Titan owners. I still gave EVGA my money to cool my Titan but I really feel they did drop the ball.

About to order a 1080 kit. One last questions before I do so. Is the EVGA Hybrid Titan X Pascal kit will be release or no. A simple YES or NO please.

Thanks

Agreed.

All I know is:

1. NVIDIA should be ashamed of putting a hair-dryer cooler on a $1200 card
2. The noise is starting to make my ears bleed
3. I need either a hybrid solution (or a 1080 kit in stock), or I am going to bite the bullet and drop $1000 on a custom water cooling system.

That is me over tweeter. :)

Their will be a Hybrid kit for Titan X pascal but no ETA.

After seeing the installation guide for the 1080, they should just have changed the mounting holes on the shroud instead of doing an all new base plate. It would have fited bolt on to the Titan X and the possible 1080 ti and would have been way more easier to install like the other kit sold for the 900 series.

Oh yeah it actually is haha. Didn't realize. Just so happen to scroll through Twitter and saw that the same day you posted!

I do have to say thank you Oliver for asking Jacob and getting this to us. Appreciate it, man!

Well I guess there seems to be something that is putting some hindrance for the Kit to come out. Whatever it is, I'll just wait for it now. Since it IS coming, sooner or later.

I will probably get my Titan on monday. So I will see(hear) then how loud the card is. I'm sitting on an EVGA GTX 770 SC right now. It's quite loud in today's standard but nothing that I can't live with.

The titan is medium loud when you use it stock but the clock will be reduced a lot and so the performance. If you want more fps you need to use fan control and their it become really loud compare to other custom cooler like evga one. I play mainly with my headphones on and I use the control fan. At 80 degres the fan spins at 80%. It keeps my overclock bouncing from 1949 to 1974mhz. I saw on some video guys that already have waterblcok on the card, they reach 2038mhz so not huge improvement over my clocks but without the 747 blower fan near me...

I will buy the kit when it will comes out for sure!! Lets hope it will be soon! :)

Why should EVGA hurry to produce a cooler for a card that nVidia won't let them market? For what it's worth, I have a 1080 Hybrid kit on a Titan XP and the base plate is not a problem. I used a Dremel tool on the shroud but if one doesn't care about having a shroud it isn't important.

I understand your choice but I prefer to have the kit design for it. What clock do you have with the hybrid on it?

I don't OC or even run software for fan profiles so my clocks are from the default bios. I can say that my temps are about 20C better using the Hybrid kit than with nVidia's piece of a cooler and hasn't come close to throttling as happened with nVidia's cooler.

This has pretty much finally decided me on not doing a 3rd RMA on my 1080 FTW Hybrid and instead getting a Titan XP. Sure it's a lot of money to pay for a card, but it should keep me happy for a good couple of years, particularly once it has the AIO cooler on it - I didn't want to go back to a full custom loop again, I just don't have time for maintenance etc.. Also my work owes me an additional $640 for recent travel expenses I've already covered, so with that and the refund of the 1080 Hybrid I have no worries.

Awesome man! Damn the Titan XP is a powerhouse. But omg the card is loud :/ OC the card to 2050 MHz with the stock cooler and the card stayed at 75 C with about 80% fan speed. My room is pretty cold I should add. About 21 C and 18 C on the floor level where my PC is.

The card is about as loud as my previous EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX but the Titan XP has a higher pitched sound from the type of fan so it's a bit more annoying. But that is when I clock it a bit higher. However i do run the card at stock settings right now just for the acoustics while I wait for a decent AIO kit to come out. I was first about to buy a custom loop kit but its quite expensive just for cooling a gpu (I have a AIO kit already for my CPU) and adding the maintance it requires makes me a bit split in the decision.

I just ordered the 1080/1070 hybrid kit.  Going to slap the AIO cooler on my Titan and see if it works as good as the folks on the internet says it does.

Going to keep the Titan X P coldplate, and not have a "cover" over the AIO waterblock.  I'm OK with this if the temps on this card will drop to what my 980 Ti Hybrid does.

If possible for you when you will have installed it, take the temperature of the video ram area. The side where you have no cover. on the cold plate. Im sure with aio you have so less heat coming from the gpu the vram should be a lot colder. I use an IR temp gun to take my temperature measure but I dont have the aio yet.

Good luck. Originally, I thought it was going to be easy because of others posting that it was only 2 cuts on the backplate. Unfortunately, it required a lot of grinding near the VRM / capacitor area because the backplate wouldn't close (probably due to the capacitors) or meet the screw holes otherwise. This video was 100% spot on, but I would take off the heatsink at the very end next to the fan (2 screws) before grinding. Was a frustrating experience for me since I'm a complete noob with a dremel and I don't have a workspace or garage to do this kind of stuff. Due to my lack of experience, the backplate looks like a mess but I put thermal pads over the the areas that I grinded and put it all together. It works and now the Titan won't go over 53C for me, but I still might consider buying the hybrid kit for the Titan XP when it comes out since I felt like I did such a poor job and some areas are still not as tight fighting as I would like.

Really disappointed in EVGA that the kit is taking this long and we still have no ETA. Maybe they're waiting for the 1080Ti to come out and release one that would work for both? Also disappointed with Nvidia and how loud the original cooler is.

Well the hybrid kit is confirmed to come. We just don't know when. Could be next week or next year.

For the moment i run the card on it's stock cooler (the original that comes with) and yes, the card is loud as F. However that is just under load when i crank the fan curve to aggressive. When it idles it's just like any other air cooled card.

My case is quite open as well so if yours is closed and you use headphones I think you can live with it.

Amazing card, disappointing cooler.

But it's very obvious that this card is meant to be put under water. Why Nvidia is not offering their own water cooling solution is a mysery.
