Well I've just tried 3 times to order a Titan XP from NVidia.com and I keep getting

"Payment authorization failed, please try again or use another payment method."

Address is correct etc etc., there is enough credit on there to buy 10 of those cards, and I don't want to use another card because I get cashback points... grrrr.  Guess NVidia just lost a $1,200 sale (actually just over $1,300 with tax). Back to the 980Ti and maybe see if a 1080Ti comes out?

I'll give it one more try.

          **a few minutes later**

..LOL, guess they heard me.. 4th attempt worked.

Soon to be a Titan XP owner    -something I hope I won't regret in a few months if a 1080Ti comes out with same specs for $300 less.

I just hope EVGA don't change their mind about making a AIO cooler for the Titan XP after saying they definitely will be, just no ETA yet... that was what pushed me over the edge to go for it (well that, and being up to RMA#3 on the 1080 Hybrid and going for a refund instead)..

Cool glad it worked the 4th time!!
I really doubt they will change their mind as they annonced the hybrid kit way back in July and still they confirmed it again last week...

Right now evga seems to be strugling to release a lot of product they annonced. Not only the aio but the 1080 hydrocoper, keyboard soundcard power connector adapter ect...

So whith that in mind this is not only the part we need. In some way it is positive..

And the titan x is really a powerhouse. Dont worry youll have all the power you need!! >:)

Welcome to the club mate! I don't think you'll regret buying this card. You are paying for premium and quality. However, you might get a bit frustrated with the acoustics if you're running it with the stock cooler. It's loud. But then again, the hybrid kit is coming.

Regarding the 1080 Ti. That card is probably going to be cheaper than the Titan XP and have more "performance for the money". But it will probably not be better than the Titan XP even though it'll probably be very close in it's performance.

The Titan XP overclocks like a beast though. Even with the stock cooler.

Please do post a short review and/or an opinion whenever you get the card! Would love to hear what you think about the card!

OMG what is wrong with the NVidia billing system? Received email this morning advising my order has been "declined because of incorrect or incomplete billing information provided during the checkout process."

Their system forced me to used the address they recommended instead of what I usually use - I live in an apartment and usually the apartment number goes on the address line 2, but they insisted it should go on line 1 after the street address, so I can only guess that is the problem as my credit card provider has already verified the transaction.

I had to put the order through again just now, and again used their version of my address.

My guess is that their 'security' checks MUST have the apartment number on the same line as the street address, and my bank probably has it on a separate line, therefore rendering it impossible for them to match on the address and thus reject the order. If my order gets rejected again, I'll take it as a sign and just stick with my 980Ti.

Idiots who write security check software and don't figure for something as basic as this...

..oh awesome, and I now have 3 pending charges for $1,306 each on my credit card...

Re: Petition for EVGA TITAN X HYBRID 2016/10/08 19:48:16 (permalink)
So I guess to me, this is a bit frustrating.  The 1080 gets the golden treatment with custom PCBs and coolers and the Titan XP, the enthusiast card, gets placed aside.  Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this hybrid kit from EVGA for the Titan XP, but shouldn't this card get some form of special treatment?  I mean this is the ultimate card for gamers.  Granted, it easily can qualify as overkill, but that's the point!  I understand that not nearly as many people order Titan cards, but they are the enthusiast/premium product.  I am really unhappy with Nvidia for not allowing third-party access to this card after jacking the price up another $200 from last gen.  They know as well as we do that 70-100% fan speed for a decent overclock is not ideal.  There must be someone at Nvidia with one of these cards thinking, "What if it didn't have to sound like a jet taxiing on a runway when I overclock it?"

I guess I'm also disappointed this hybrid kit almost certainly won't include the nice EVGA fans that are on the hybrid version of the 1080 FTW edition due to the size difference in PCB.

It isn't a huge deal, but the noise reduction would be nice.  In my mind, even though not many units are sold for Titan cards, there are still a good number of people that want the best and Nvidia treats this card in a way that just doesn't make sense.  There is a lot of potential to a custom PCB and cooler for a Titan XP.  I really hope we get surprised by EVGA and Nvidia, but that seems extremely unlikely.  It would just be very interesting to see the GP 102 pushed to its maximum potential.

Sorry for the rant, but it really disappoints me to see how enthusiasts are treated by Nvidia.

Don't buy the 1080, wait for the 1080TI. If you're looking for an alternative, wait for the 1080TI.

Looking at Q2 2017 for 1080TI.  Quite a ways out.  I will be getting two Titan XPs.  Just waiting for the hybrid kits now.  Just disappointed by the approach Nvidia is taking currently.  In an ideal scenario for enthusiasts who don't want a custom loop, we would get a custom PCB Titan XP with the EVGA FTW Hybrid style cooler.  Unfortunately, that won't happen.  One can dream though...

Yes it's strange how NVidia kept the Titan XP to themselves, and didn't offer a hybrid option to a card that would so clearly benefit from it. I've had mine a few days now, and although the fan noise isn't too bad, the temperatures are certainly a lot higher than my 980Ti reached when performing the same tasks / games etc.. Here's hoping EVGA get their Titan XP Hybrid cooler out sooner rather than later - I'd gladly pre-order and pay in full for it right now if it would help speed things along.

I agree.

I hope it comes out soon.  You would think it wouldn't require much to change the mounting points of the thermal plate and paint it black.  I really hope it comes in black...and RGBs never hurt lol

It's funny, I've waited so far and nothing. Decided to get the 1080 kit, pull up the website and there's currently no stock in Europe for anything on the entire website (no idea if it's a bug or what). I think I'm just going to go with a custom loop, I'm tired of this.

Last I heard from Jacob (only a few days ago), it is still in the works but no ETA yet. Hoping for this year.

Alternative: watch this video and then buy the 1080 AIO Hybrid cooler and go for it.

Got tired of waiting! Just ordered a EK-XLC Predator 360 (incl. QDC) and EK-FC Titan X Pascal - Acetal+Nickel pre-fill with backplate form EKWB.
At the very least it will fit with no modifications and keep my Titan X Pascal cool.

Was on the EK website myself today considering the same setup.Seen a dude on youtube with the same and excellent results.Expensive on top of the card cost is what I told myself but this is my first Titan and I just bought a H115i.Still I'm considering it.How is the card performing? What res are you using it at?I had 2 1070s sli with pg348q 3440 x 1440.Sli was hitting me hard.Had go go single card route.

I had two EVGA GTX 980 KingPins in SLI. My new Titan X single card blows the SLI setup away. I am averaging 40 to 50 FPS higher in all my games. Playing Battlefield 1 I am averaging 150 FPS that seems pretty good for 2560x1440. My new Titan's boost clock is 1860 with no overclock. when spending $1200.00 on a card I think $400.00 to cool my CPU and GPU is worth the Money.

I have been debating this for some time. It would look so good. My only concern is the greater chance of a leak and how warranties would play out in that situation.  For me, $2400 worth of GPUs makes me really want some form of coverage in case there is a leak.

I don know of any company that covers damage to other components when their AIO's leak. It's a risk you have to be willing to take......EKWB warranty is two years on AIO products.

Hybrid kits for the FTW cards just came out today.  I hope that means we'll hear more about the Titan Hybrid in the near future.
