My thinking: If Nvidia doesn't shut partners out of the 1080ti, then there will most certainly be a 100% compatible kit for the Titan, even if it isn't marketed as such. I don't think there would be nearly as many physical differences between two GP102 chips as with a GP102 and GP104. If any. We'll see what comes out of CES in the first week of January.

Realize, the high end might not be filled, seeing as though we only have GTX 1070, GTX 1080, and Titan X filling that, the likelihood of there being another card filling that from Nvidia that is not larger than the current Titan or from a new generation and displacing current cards, is very low. What is the reason of putting more competition in that area when you have the only 3 items in that space. I personally do not expect Nvidia to release another high end card from Pascal that is smaller than Titan X in the high end of the market. There still is the role of FULL GP102 that needs filled and I personally expect that Nvidia could fill that for the consumer market. If Nvidia fills that spot, then it would be another Titan card and if AMD threatens the GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 with Vega, which it sounds like they might, they easily could launch GTX 1080TI in the first quarter of next year or even start launching Volta at GTC with the successor of 1070 and 1080.

But will Santa have time to deliver it to me?

..and hmm.. only 1493GHz on a Titan XP on full load? ..sounds like Jacob lost the silicone lottery on that one. Mine hits 1885MHz boost on load without any clocking whatsoever.

I was thinking the same thing.  I wonder if he has the boost disabled or restricted somehow.  The Titan X (Pascal) has been pretty consistent with boost frequencies between cards from what I've seen online.  I'm really curious now (1) if the kit will come in black and (2) what will temperatures be with a good overclock?  In this test, he has it near 1500MHz.  The Titan X (Pascal) can do around 2000MHz for most people I've seen overclock them with water cooling.  I'm hoping it's around the mid-50s.

I have two txp with a hybrid mod. In push/pull with corsair 120sp fans running around 1300rpm and the cards at 2050-2088, my bottom card is 53-55c and the top is around 59-62c.

I have two Titan X P with the 1080 Hybrid kit modded onto it.

I get 2050-2075 MHz on each GPU, and they both stay in below 45 C (with 28 C ambient).

28c that's 82.4f do you live in a sweat box? I have my Titan X Pascal at 2075 (2110 max) running Unigine Valley for two hours topping out at 40c max. Setup EKWB Predator 360 QDC with a EKWB nickel full cover water block pre-fill. Ambient temperature 20c 71.6f.

I live in Florida!  I keep the house A/C at 78 F...any lower is too cold - hehe.

And...1200 Watts of constant heat generation in my office gets it toasty sometimes!

I have had mine for about three months now I had a leak at one of the rotary fittings in the first week and EKWB sent parts. They gave me the option to repair or replace. I repaired it myself with only one hour of down time. I have no runs, no drips and no leaks. It was simple to fix and it's hard to beat the cooling which is on par with a custom loop. I am totally happy and EKWB support it was as good as EVGA's support.

I must say I don't like NVIDIA's decisions at all and I don't know how customers tolerate that.

1. no TITAN 100% functional chip, he is crippled
2. no TITAN SC or Hybrid or HydroCopper because NVIDIA alone sell him
3. no Founders Edition Superclocked, a lot of customers loved previous version of reference cards overclocked by EVGA.

With GTX1080Ti NViDIA will allow to partners to improve basic model.

The 1080ti will not be as fast as the Titan X Pascal. These cards are amazing. I had two EVGA 980ti's in SLI and my Single Titan beat the 980's by 3000+ in Fire Strike. Also whooped them by 3500 in 3D Mark 11. I really like having a single card with that much power.
I don't think Nvidia will shoot them self in the foot by making the 1080ti's close to that speed. If they do the cost will be substantial.

The Titan XP definitely beats my two 980 Ti's in gaming, but not in benchmarking.  My dual 980 Ti's could hit over 40,000 in Fire Strike, whereas my Titan XP hits around 32,000.  The gap is smaller for Time Spy, where my 980 Ti's hit just about 12,000 and my Titan XP hit a little over 11,000.  These are graphics scores by the way, not aggregate scores.

Your dual 980ti's did not do over 40,000 in Fire Strike Gunslinger has the high score with dual 980 ti's. KingPin has the high score with one Titan X pascal pretty close see below from the hall of fame. I had two 980ti KingPins not good over clockers so my Titan X beat them in Fire Strike.

That's not full load.  Look at the voltage.  He probably took that screenshot after alt-tabbing or after quitting whatever they were testing with.

I just went with an open loop from EK. Seemed like less hassle, though the results speak for themselves:

Not sure a hybrid could keep up with those temps, though it wouldn't be 1/4 the total cost I guess either.

They will release one hybrid kit that will fits the GTX 1080 Ti and the Titan X Pascal. Waiting for 1080 Ti to be launch. I think we could say really soon...

I'm starting to doubt they'll launch a GTX 1080 Ti at all, unless something big comes from AMD soon.

I sorely hope a Hybrid kit for the Titan Xp will be available soon.

Could this be it? Just noticed a video posted from CES with EVGA's new AIO water coolers. Judging by the fact that they don't have a name for their new fans, doesn't sound like it will be out anytime soon.

Could this be it? Just noticed a video posted from CES with EVGA's new AIO water coolers. Judging by the fact that they don't have a name for their new fans, doesn't sound like it will be out anytime soon.

Thanks for that link. Wonder if the Titan XP AIO is coming out in that format then... which probably means many more months as you said before release, by which time it will be outdated lol... which makes me think we will never see it. I like that EVGA are offering a full watercooling system like the EK Predator setup though, and I wonder if this is a rebranded EK or something completely new for EVGA alone. Also will be interested to see the new laptop, but EVGA seems to be priced way higher than competitors for laptops so far.

This video said May for QR (Quick Release) products so I'm doubtful EVGA would wait that long if that were the case. Unfortunate that they missed their long "before 2017" estimation, but I'm still hoping to pick one up to replace my "modded" 1080 hybrid cooler.

Still here listening to my leaf blower......I mean Titan XP... No release date from EVGA still... I'm guessing February-May timeframe based on the new quick disconnect units release timeframe. This is extremely frustrating. The first time I go all out and EVGA drops the ball. I know there are other options, but EVGA makes a fantastic product. I really want them to release this thing already!
