InnerDemon i purchased an extended warranty and if i sell my card does the extended warranty go to the new owner?
No, extended warranty only applies to the original owner.

What if I give a card purchased from my account to my girlfriend and she registers it in her account? Is that considered a second hard purchase? What if we have the same address? If this isn't a second hand purchase, how does she go about getting the extended warranty?

If you are at same address, I would keep the card in your account so that you can get extended warranty. If you give it to her, it would fall under as a gift, which I am pretty sure falls under the 2nd hand warranty and no extended.

Makes sense, thanks for your help.

Always cautious when buying second hand "new" equipment. Warranty doesn't transfer.

I have a question about Amazon purchases for new PSUs. If I purchase a G3 from Amazon where it's a marketplace seller selling a new G3 but Amazon ships it will the 10-year warranty still be valid?

It's moot, I already bought it and it was sold and shipped from Amazon so all is good.

Hi there A very good friend / co-worker was able to purchase me a new Evga 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra Card a few days ago (I was and still am out of town working so unable to get to the local PC shop). I saw it "in stock", he went there purchased it for me and passed on the S/N. He isnt opening the package at all, I will be installing a EK Water Block on it and installing in my system when I get home from work. I have now registered it and just have to upload the Invoice (which he has and I will get in the next week or so), is this going to be an issue if I have to RMA the Card within the next 3 yrs (its a KR Card), is it an issue as the Receipt has his name not mine ? The Invoice will have likely have his name on it vs mine. As said I have already Registered it. Thanks in advance

Sajin Shouldn’t be a problem.
Ok thanks Sajin.....he just emailed me a pdf copy of the reciept (from Authorized Retailer), should I simply upload that receipt then ? or perhaps write a notation on the reciept (my name) indicating that it was purchased for me? I wouldnt think it would be an issue.

Provide an invoice/document stating the product was purchased by a friend for you, not the original invoice with their name.

Ok....can this simply be a typed up word document with my name on it, stating the transaction, date, price S/N etc? He purchased it and I immediately e-transferred the funds to him 1/2 a day later. Perhaps a Document stating this with the actual Invoice included within the document. Apologies just want to make sure I get this right. I'm not interested in stepping a 3080Ti up to anything ....or a Warranty beyond the 3 yrs (I replace every few yrs...

Just type up a simple document showing the date you purchased it and from whom you purchased and include the serial number. You can both sign it if you want. EVGA just needs a chain of custody for the card. Hope this helps.

Hello, Just bought a brand new, unopened 3060 ti from a person on FaceBook marketplace yesterday. Model 08G-P5-3663-KL. Overpaid a little but not too bad considering the crazy current market. Anyway, I would like to register my card and have it eligible for warranty ect.... I have no receipt. EVGA ship date was like 15 days ago I think. I put the serial number in to check this information but did not finish the registration process. I want to make sure I do it correctly so any help / advice? Thanks!

Pretty much as above, except you'll be the only one signing it. Just type up a simple document showing the date you purchased it and from whom you purchased and include the serial number. Then register and upload your document/receipt: https://www.evga.com/support/register.asp. The warranty date will be effective from the date it was shipped. If you have any problems, just contact EVGA Customer Service. Be aware that parts of the EVGA site are having problems, it is sporadic as to which section and when. Hope this helps.

If I'm purchasing the card from EVGA.com with intent of selling it to a friend at cost (I'm not intending on opening the box or registering it), can they just register it themselves and still get the option for extended warranty? I assume we'd still upload the receipt with a document stating it was purchased for them instead of my use? Or what would be the best way to go about this to basically relieve my registration/warranty control to them completely? Thanks!

It is still a second hand warranty and the warranty period begins from the date that the GPU was shipped from EVGA to you. To be helpful to the buyer, make a bill of sale that transfers ownership from you to the buyer. That way when they register the card, they can upload the bill of sale in case they need to RMA in the future.

I recently got a new EVGA 3060 Ti secondhand from a fellow regular on another forum, for a non-scalper price even (he was in a queue but had bought a 3070 used in the interim). Anyway, I registered it with EVGA but what counts as a receipt for warranty purposes in such a case? I have an emailed payment receipt from Paypal, but there's no mention of the card there. The guy did send me a PDF of his original order from EVGA, but of course it has his name on it, and doesn't show me in any way. I have an email chain, I guess, but that's not one document. So I'm a bit at sea. Would it be enough if he provided me a bill of sale acknowledging payment for his card on such and such a date? Would it need to be signed by him and scanned? Could I upload that plus my Paypal receipt (which itself does not mention the card)? Or, if I can upload two documents, I could use the PDF of his original order, then a PDF of my Paypal payment to him-- would that work?

Thanks for the reply. Even with no mention in it of the card itself, eh? Cool.
