Yeah if you get lucky with a non-12Gbps FTW3 you can get the same memory OC.

I have one that does +800 on air, +1000 for a few minutes for benchmarks until memory modules warm up too much.
So would do 1000+ (13ghz+) on water. With Asus GPU Tweak you can go past +1000. They should add such range extension for Evga XOC too.

Hi,
Just purchased the 1070 Ti FTW2. I successfully installed this and running great. Amazing on a 3570K on Windows 10.
When I try to permanently turn off the LEDs on the card via LED Sync and quit LED Sync, it works.
However, when the machine wakes from sleep, the lights come back on to default.
How do you permanently turn them off?

i have the evga geoforce gtx 1080 ti ftw3 hybrid i love it but i want to do a sli setup with 2 of these cards but no case supports this at the moment i think a post needs to be made that shows what cases support 1-2-3-4 of theses cards for a sli setup

Coming from Strix 1080 (water cooled through kit)  To EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid  Is so nice knowing that Im covered by Warranty, and without having to go through taking the card apart. Also it's such a big performance jump from 1080 to Ti!!! Loving the card so far!!

saw the case yes. it would work.would have to go all cube and stuff . but after some thinking. at this point doing a new case just for a sli set up for better frame rates and benchmarks that no one will see... isnt that just an unnecessary **** brag and wast of money at this early point?

Just as info. 2037,5 MHz. So much about the blower from the Founders... And I created a decent fan-curve, I did no ramp up. The card stayed at plus minus 55 degrees celsius. It only moved for a few seconds over 60. And I just did that OC temporary, it is simply not necessary with a 1080 Ti.  Thanks to imgur for free hosting. Edit: It seems that bcavnaugh was compromised on the first side - imgbox -, I hosted that image. Because of that I removed the link and created a new one with imgur.

Just recently got SC2. Looks good, a vast improvement over 1070. Just wondering few things. When does this card start to throttle clocks down? I´m seeing it dropping below 1900MHz with factory settings. And this is on 4k res, cpu isn´t the culprit, (at 2k it comes a issue) even that it´s old trusty 2600k at 4.2GHz. Second, years back, i read that EVGA let´s you open the cooler for thermalpaste swap, or something like that. I´v never liked factory paste smashes.

Yes evga still don't care.. just don't do physical damage and your fine.

I tried with maxed power/temp and gave abit more voltage, just like +50, but it´s the same.
Only thing it did, increasing heat.
Thanks for the comfirmation on the opening and swapping pastes.

Are you cranking the fans? Too much heat will make it drop clocks.
Adjust the fan curve to crank at like 40c.. you should only see 40c+ if your gaming or benching so let the fans eat when needed. Quiet on idle and get them running from 40c and more at 45c and more at 50c +.

Well, before my 1070 i was using 480sli, and well, i´m new to this pascal, but i watched this There is actually one thing, i didn´t know about, and thats the nvidia setting. But i got some good tips from that vid. I´m not on my gaming pc atm, but i´ll do some testing in a hour or two. Thats what i was wondering, when does these cards start to throttle down, on what temp. I don´t remember that i´d crank the fan on stock settings. But with these few pointers, i´ll give it a crack, and get back, what i´v learned. Thank you tho, for your responses. +1 As edit, my 1070 was so **** on oc. No matter what i did... Hence, i´m feel lost, but in the end, i wasn´t. Still got few good pointers. I´m actually suprised how good paste EVGA was using. Didnt gain anything with paste swap, even that i think it had bad contact.
Anyways, is the heatsink nickel plated, or aluminium? Seems plated.
Asking cause i have some liquiq metal waiting.

If my understanding is right, this card heavily needs lc.
It's nvidia boost 3.0 that auto clocks the card. I think it starts in the 50s and every so many degrees it drops a notch. On my ftw3 elite I'm water cooling to 31-34c on load and it's not heat that makes my clocks dance it's the power level. Easy to hit at 4k. People say it's a bios issue as other brands don't have it and evga states it's a driver issue and nvidia will fix it sometime with a new driver.
