Quick question for anyone from Canada who got their iCX upgrade; did you have to pay any brokerage/duty fees? Thx.

Not a big deal.  Just make sure the serial sticker is on the card you are sending in.  They accept the fact that people apply for rebates...

So I can put 2 in the box together? both cards got approved at the same time.
Or should I just ship them separately?

aznboy I only had one card but since
you have 2 you should have separate RMA
numbers for each card. Just make sure if you send them in the same box have each cards RMA numbers somewhere visible on the box.

I don't mind waiting a little but 3 weeks is getting a little long in the tooth. Before making this offer... Having a separate stock pre-built up may have been wise. It seems to me EVGA did not do this.

I paid 42 dollars to ship back 2 cards ups with 1600 dollars for the declared price. That was in Edmonton. All in one box. It was 10 pounds in the box that was ups ground.

I paid $50CAD for one card with $1000 insurance by Canada Post Expedited Parcel.  4 business days arrival guesstimate.

So after you get approved and paid for your upgrade EGVA says....
"EVGA will ship your iCX Upgrade within 1-3 Business Days of receiving your original product".

Depending on where you live you would be without a card for 14+ days.  Chances are you have high-end rig and high-end monitors so anything less than what you sent back will not support your monitor(s) resolution and/or applications that you are running.

What do you guys do in the meanwhile where your PC is without a graphics card?

Play PS2 emulator games on Intel HD graphics. Kind of upset because the new Dark Souls 3 DLC comes out in a few days.

Well I think most either have another lower end card or can use integrated graphics while they wait. Me, I staggered my two 1080ftw cards so that I wouldn't be without both at the same time.

Don't they offer a way to pay full price, ship the new card and refund the difference once you send back your old one?

What you're referring to is their Advanced RMA program - that was not offered for the ICX Upgrade program.

That makes sense. One way EVGA might dissuade people wanting to upgrade. Those that feel being without a high end card for a few weeks would panic and just buy a new card or live with the heat spreader mods.  I run mine on an ASUS Predator 34". I would not go into withdrawals waiting two weeks, just might have a few occasions I would miss it.

How many of you plan to do the step up program after receiving your ICX upgrade? Reading the terms and conditions of the ICX upgrade it appears you have a new 90 day window to step up.

That's the only reason why I'm doing the iCX upgrade. My 1080 ACX 3.0 base model OCed to 2202/5557 MHz using an AIO cooler - there is no way I'm going to be that lucky with the silicon lottery twice, so as soon as I get the iCX upgrade it is going on the step up program for a Ti.
