So after you get approved and paid for your upgrade EGVA says....
"EVGA will ship your iCX Upgrade within 1-3 Business Days of receiving your original product".

Depending on where you live you would be without a card for 14+ days.  Chances are you have high-end rig and high-end monitors so anything less than what you sent back will not support your monitor(s) resolution and/or applications that you are running.

What do you guys do in the meanwhile where your PC is without a graphics card?

Play PS2 emulator games on Intel HD graphics. Kind of upset because the new Dark Souls 3 DLC comes out in a few days.

I've been playing Red Faction, I've got my all time classic of Total Annihilation though to fall back on if I get bored of the Red Faction pack.

Who's going to step up to the Ti FE though?

Oh, I am.  I'm looking very forward to it.  This is all very exciting for me.  I haven't had a new computer since forever and after putting together this rig -- well, wow.  I never knew what I was missing.

I definitely want to step-up to the 1080 ti but I'll let some of the 90 days run out to see if they add a non fe card to the step-up list if they don't I'll probably get the fe card.

I'm 50/50 over it, I love the asthetics of the FTW and the ability to visually monitor your temps on the card, but the performance of the Ti... I mean I don't have a tempered glass case for it to show off a bad looking card haha.

But you're all right... I've 90 days to decide.
I'm just wondering, what are UK folks paying for the step up. I know the 1080's dropped in price, so is it the current price of the iCX or what I payed for the card origionally (ACX)?
I mean the 650 odd I payed, plus the extra 90 for iCX step up is more than the FE as is.

It's the price that you paid for the original card sans tax and warranty and upgrade, not what the card currently retails for.

I suffer from upgrade-itus. I hope to be approved for my FTW icx upgrade any day and since FTW pre-orders start in a few days, I bet my 90 days won't run out before I can step up to a FTW Ti.  That's the hope anyway.

if you are doing the ACX to iCX upgrade and then stepping up to the ti then it is the original MSRP of the iCX card.

MY STATUS:
1. Applied 12/02/2017, 1080 FTW 08G-P4-6286-KR
2. EU (UK)
3. Approved 14/03/2017
4. EVGA recieved 21/03/2017
5. Shipped 22/03/2017
6. Recieved 27/03/2017

On re-looking at the 1080ti page, it's €699 and not the €819 I had in my head, I think the iCX was €679 before the drop so should only be €20 to step-up. I'm going to hold out though as I'll see how I get on with this card. Because the reference ones are hideous.

Edit: just looked and noticed you get a game with the new card (that Rad Rodgers was pretty crap), scroll down.... "For residents of the United States or Canada only." ... thanks for that.

Like Arestavo stated, special offers cant be combined, so Rad Rogers wouldnt come with anyone's step up, so dont wprry yourself with that next time. If you read the step up and icx upgrade pages all the way through, it shows that the two can not be combined.

EVGA doesn't give out the free game for Upgrade or Step Up.

But they'll give you a new 90 day step-up period/t-shirt. Figures.

Wow just wow.........over a game.......they didn't have to do anything at all. Yet you still complain over a game. A game that will be half price in 6 months from release if that. Wow

Chill your beans, jeez.
Read what I origionally said "Edit: just looked and noticed you get a game with the new card (that Rad Rodgers was pretty crap), scroll down.... "For residents of the United States or Canada only." ... thanks for that."
The game I was refering to was TC:GR/FH. The "thanks for that" was that EU residents couldn't get it.

Applied for my 1070 ftw on Feb.16 in the u.s. request was approved on Mar.16 and paid and mailed it that day. Evga mailed my new icx card on Mar.21 and i received a e-mail that the card auto registered on Mar.22 delivery is scheduled for Mar.27 but the new card already shows in my list of products on evga site.
Finally received my 1070 ftw icx card and I couldn't be happier boost clock is +150 over my old card and temps are great. Now here's hoping evga will add a non Fe gtx 1080 ti card to the step-up list I have about 85 days to wait and see but in the meantime this 1070 ftw can game at 4k at high settings and still get over 40fps avg. so it's still pretty sweet.

Congrats dude!  I just checked the tracking number and EVGA is expected to get my old card on Thurs.  So that probably means I'll get the upgrade on or around the 10-11th of April.  *sigh* Lol.

3. approved. (pay now) 3/27.
4. paying tomorrow. (3/28)

anyone here have 100% proof that the declared value on the new iCX card will be the original value of the card before the 1080 price drop announcement. i would pay right now BUT i don't want to pay without knowing for sure that im going to get the original MSRP value of the card. (stepping up to the Ti) so as long as i get the 679.99 value, ill im paying. if not, im just sticking with what i got. i know a dev or someone posted a week or so back that they will honor the original value but i just want to make sure before paying the $99.00
was going to call support tomorrow and talk to someone in person before paying.

also. are they offering any cross shipping for this. i dont have an extra video card laying around and kinda need my comp for work.

I can, without a shadow of a doubt, say that they are using the price of the icx prior to the price drop of the 1080.

The cross ship question was answered as well.

I can, without a shadow of a doubt, say that they are using the price of the icx prior to the price drop of the 1080.

The cross ship question was answered as well.

sweeeet. well guess ill pay now and get this ball rolling. being that i'm cheap and dont feel like paying extra $ for faster shipping lol.
