Spent a more significant amount of time testing core/mem clocks last night and playing a bit with voltages. On the stock AIO, best sustained boost clock was 2175mhz, mem 1466mhz for a very disappointing PR score of 14547. next step will be fresh OS to see if efficiency was an issue. One thing I did notice and confirmed with a friend? Driver 30.0.15.1277 (512.77) is more efficient than 31.0.15.1659 (516.59) by at least 200-300 points. With a little nudge on voltages, temps hitting 55-58C. For contrast, I was able to keep my 3090 HCs under 41C so I think we'll be able to go harder with better cooling. And funny enough, while I was tweaking clocks and voltages for a couple of hours, the scores seemed to improve around similar offsets as starting temps were up 3-5C. So maybe this bad boy just needs a bit of "breaking in" lol And these are hardly the clean build pics some of y'all will be sharing, but I seldom make it a full week with the same hardware on the bench, so enjoy the chaos in all its lol glory And if you questioned how OP this card is? lol Of course, right as we're getting our cards, so are the elite xoc peeps. can he beat biso biso?

Mem is lower because stability is actually slightly worse with the x3D also. Multiple people over on the Overclockers forum have seen the same result. Even when temps and clocks are equal, it still scores lower anyway. I've done many baseline runs that all show the same thing. Same for everyone else. I've even tested it in games. When completely GPU bound, the 5800x3D scores lower in game benchmarks as well. Only in high fps situations does the x3D really show its potential. It's a pretty big disappointment for me as I wasn't expecting a gain in GPU bound situations, but I didn't realize it would be a slight loss.

my bad, I misread, I thought you borrowed your friends HOF as another datapoint for the baseline and testing. bench looking awesome! the 8 -> 12 pin is kind of ridiculous but I had imagined it to be worse. nothing a few zip ties or velco straps cant make clean enough. do you like the corsair blades performance better than the oloy you had before?

haha i wish! i would love to "borrow" that one, it's a beast card did come with several velcro ties for the aio hoses and 8 to 12 pins, i may need to wrangle them later when card #2 arrives. plan to reinstall OS first to see if that pushes the scores where i think it should be. the new bin of the dom plats are very nice. run xmp 6600 c32 at 1.4v which is just fantasic. with 1.5-1.55v they will push up to 7200 C32 without breaking a sweat. Haven't done much higher frequency testing 1T or anything cold yet. Hoping to get all that done in the coming weeks once I refill the dewars

I have ideas based on that for my next big build. I tried to discuss that over here, but even though people looked at that post about 270 times, nobody has replied lol. I'm guessing it's a TLDR situation but also maybe a "oh dear god, this man is delusional, I'm not touching that"

https://koolance.com/quic...lings-low-pressure-qd3Some folks like the QD4’s as they’re less restrictive but it’s very negligible imo and the 3’s are a little cheaper.

Great info. Curious what is the stock clockspeed on your card when you press the boost lock on PX1?
What kind of temps do you see under load? And clockspeeds etc. My card gets here tomorrow. Curious on what to expect!

Great info! Thanks for sharing! Did you change the thermal paste or fans? I know on my old 3090 I managed to drop my GPU temps by about 10C or so after swapping those two.

Sajin Nice card.
Thank you! This card is screaming for a proper waterblock. I think the PCB fan cooler is not enough to keep mem temps low enough to clock higher. Either that or that I have Micron memory, according to GPU-Z, instead of Samsung which are in my two 3090 FTW3 Ultras which I can push up to +1600 on PX1. I'm going to make a chill-box tank out of a styrofoam cooler and submerge the radiator in a ice/water mix and see how low I can get the core. I really want to hit the 3Ghz mark.

Everything was stock. I do like the new look of the fans but I think the loud fans from the CLC360 AIO move a lot more air. Unlike the CLC products, I wish there was a way to view the pump speed or change it. Also wish we could see the water temp. The AIO doesn't show up on HWINFO64 or EVGA's FLOW CONTROL app. I know this card was made to be taken apart and for LN2 overclocking, but the enthusiasts all would have preferred a Hydro Copper version. That reminds me, I should double check all the screw and give them some extra torque. I have received cards in the past with loose screws straight from the factory. I do have an extra Critical Pads 3090 kit. but not sure if the thicknesses would ne the same with the copper cooler for the memory and VRMs on this PCB design.

Yeah pretty unfortunate no waterblock is coming. Not sure why they don't just make the KP cards standard with a hydrocopper block. I always thought having an AIO was pretty lame. I might try using a lapped CPU block over the core and reuse the existing heatsinks for the vrms and memory and see if I can get good contact for some chilled water runs. Seeing as the memory is pretty terrible when sub zero, after some LN2 xoc sessions I see this card ending up in my gaming rig long term. Otherwise it's just gonna end up on the shelf.

The current HC models are due for a design change, the Delta is not that great for these high powered cards. I did see they added the HC kit, add to notify button yesterday . Hopefully in couple weeks I'll get the EK block for the Ti. interesting the FTW3 has the smallest chunk of copper of all the AIB partner kits. We shall see when they start shipping

I've had mine since Tuesday. Unfortunately it's not a great overclocker, only reaching 2160MHz sustained in Port Royal (score of 15573) which is worse than my FTW3 Ultra.
Also, does the PL increase on the OC and LN2 BIOS? I've gone through all three and can't increase PL past 108.

SpartanM07 I've had mine since Tuesday.
They're all 516w
My associates code is O1RWT3TOQ5NNXP8 if you wanna help !e get my EVGA score up :)

Ok, makes sense. What are the differences between the BIOSs then? Fan curve more aggressive?

Thanks! Just ordered mine. Going to vert mount mine in custom open air 2020 aluminum frame I am building. So it will look nice for cable management. SpartanM07 I've had mine since Tuesday. See my results earlier. I was able to push pass 2160Mhz easily with a 72F-74F ambient air room. what are your temps at 2160Mhz?

Looking at the bios in gpuz. Do you know if it was sustained or maybe just a spike?

nice bin! at similar ambient temps (no portable AC) even pushing up to 2175mhz i was seeing up to 58C. still haven't ruled out my OS effi and I have the second card here as well to test. but right now it looks like it's a dud. hoping the second one is better.

nah it isn't sustained, and didn't get this high without pushing volts a bit. but it stays above 520w consistently at those voltages where stock volts it was low to mid 400s
