Since all the other threads get locked - let's just leave this for updates and try to avoid name calling in here... please.  No fix yet but it looks like they are working hard to determine the problem.

We are still working on this issue. Unfortunately our next beta driver which will be released very soon will not provide any better performance with BF: BC2 as it does not contain any BC2 specific fixes but we hope to have a resolution soon.

We still have not yet determined the root cause but looks related to our multi-core optimizations. I expect that the fix will also address the low GPU usage issue as well. We haven't looked into DX10 but once we figure out what is causing this micro-stuttering issue and have a fix, I'll take a look at DX10. It is likely that is related.

Yah, get rid of multi core optimizations and let the GPUs do the work that's what I say.

I have a problem with SLI 470 and DX11. The video driver will eventually stop working. In DX9 it's fine, single card DX11 is fine.

finally they are working on it!  i have been playing with this micro stutter since beta on my sli laptop, 8800M gtx 512 sli system.

i just built a desktop with gtx 460 sli and the same micro stutter is here lol, could not believe it.

i hope this multi core fix also addresses the micro stutter in all the other games i get, like crysis.

Thanks for this mate! I actually just got an i7 set up from my q6600 (just waiting on the RAM to come in actually), and hope this addresses the concerns of all those having SLI, low GPU Utilization, and micro stutter problems).

uh.. no.  multi core optimisations in the driver are required to feed the gpu efficiently.

....just seems that nvidia failed to improve the optimisations to cope for the multikernel scheduler that Fermi employ's.

If it's Nvidia's fault they failed with my 295s as well, they don't seem to work very hard no matter how much work I give them (i know some people like that). I'm joking because I only have a duel core when the game recommends at least a quad core and my CPU works much harder then anything else, so I'm all for optimizing whatever to get the GPUs  off their rumps.

You'll need a quad core to get the most out of this game.  There is no substitution for cores, no driver fix for lack of CPU power.  Unfortunately, when most of us were moving to quads too many websites kept recommending dual cores because at that time games weren't taking advantage of 4 core.  All the sudden we've got a bunch of games that run completely different when comparing dual to quad and people are wondering why their dual cores aren't enough CPU.

They're only how many months late? Plus, they still aren't even locking down a timetable for fixing one of the most popular games at the moment... I would have thought the game would've been on the top priority list when it first hit the scene several months ago.

Yah, get rid of multi core optimizations and let the GPUs do the work that's what I say.

I have a problem with SLI 470 and DX11. The video driver will eventually stop working. In DX9 it's fine, single card DX11 is fine.

uh.. no.  multi core optimisations in the driver are required to feed the gpu efficiently.

....just seems that nvidia failed to improve the optimisations to cope for the multikernel scheduler that Fermi employ's.

Yah, I'm assuming it has something to do with them running better on consoles>sigh

    Quick update at nVIDIA forums:

ManuelGJust a quick update everyone. It looks like we have a fix. So far we have tested dual core and quad core processors in DX11 mode on 32-bit and 64-bit systems and the smoothness of the game is much better. The micro-stutter appears to be gone. Tomorrow I shall test DX10 mode but the fix our dev team introduced should apply to DX10 mode as well. As I previously stated, this fix won't make it to next weeks beta driver release but will definitely be in the follow up version. The fix also only applies to Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If you are seeing the same micro-stutter in other games, please let me know the game title and your system configuration (including Windows version), in game 3d settings and resolution you are playing the game. Last but not least, if a previous driver did not exhibit any micro-stutter, please let me know the version of that driver. Thank you all for your time and patience.

Ok, so now, they are looking for any more stutter issues fixed by disabling one core.  List your specs and the game... lets see em.
