More likely they will under-supply as usual and the cheapest price available will be near $1,000 via Amazon/Newegg 3rd party sellers. Happens every time.

Now, assuming that NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 2080 will feature a fully functional GT104 GPU rather than a cut-back variant, we’re looking at 3072 CUDA cores, 192 TMUs, 64 ROPs and a 256-bit memory interface paired with 8GB of 14gbps GDDR6 memory, delivering 448GB/s of memory bandwidth. Essentially making the GeForce RTX 2080 a Quadro RTX 5000 with half the memory.

Hum, $699 MSRP? Isn't that the same price the GTX1080 Founders Edition card launched at?




I thought 699 was the 1080ti and the 1080 was either 549 or 599

So far, the only confirmed game to feature real-time ray tracing is Metro Exodus, now due to release on February 22nd, 2019. We’re hoping more game developers will come out and announce their support of the technology during next week’s Gamescom 2018. Our intrepid reporters Chris Wray and Rosh Kelly will be there, by the way, so expect plenty of articles on all the most exciting games in development showcased in Cologne.

i was just pointing out there is a use for RAY TRACING ...
if people like in [H] forums say " no good having ray tracing cards because there are no ray tracing games til at least the next gen after"
 
i was pointing out thats false and Unreal and other developers are working on content for ray trace for the last few years so games will be coming shortly

Seems very strange releasing the Ti at the same time... 
 
PNY RTX 2080 Ti 'Overclocked XLR8' Edition - yet still lower clocks than EVGA 1080Ti. Both 11GB memory, but mem bandwidth and CUDA cores significantly improved on the 2080Ti.
 
I wonder if these new cards will o/c very well. My Titan X (pascal) overclocks to just over 2GHz without having to even touch the voltage..

Both the Zotac and PNY cards have pretty hefty coolers on them. Hope we are not looking at a GTX 480 repeat.
