I'm starting to see that 8GB VRAM number more often around these rumors on the web. I hope that isn't right. They've never used the same amount of VRAM from past architectures. I hope its at least 12GB VRAM.

Xavier Zepherious NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Alleged Specs Surface – Say Hello to The New Gaming King Now, assuming that NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 2080 will feature a fully functional GT104 GPU rather than a cut-back variant, we’re looking at 3072 CUDA cores, 192 TMUs, 64 ROPs and a 256-bit memory interface paired with 8GB of 14gbps GDDR6 memory, delivering 448GB/s of memory bandwidth. Essentially making the GeForce RTX 2080 a Quadro RTX 5000 with half the memory. https://wccftech.com/nvid...o-the-new-gaming-king/
I'm not liking how all these rumors are consistent in stating it'll have only 8GB of memory. Why would they downgrade their new cards?! The 1080 Ti had 11GB, and in this day in age of everyone pushing more and more 4K and even higher resolutions, 8GB ain't gonna cut it. Edit: didn't see GTXJackBauer's post before this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

No worries and agree to agree. I will say, Nvidia has done a really fine job capping those leaks this time around. They must've tightened up their circle of friends. Weren't most leaks coming out of China the last several years since Fermi or Kepler?

NVIDIA GeForce 20-series Rumor Roundup #3: Breaking the Enigma from techpowerup BaiduThe fourth part also comes from Baidu, from a member which claims to have a lot of information from a board partner. Some parts align with previous leaks, so I guess they are worth checking out. RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 The author confirms that there is a Ti part, this is a third source claiming that NVIDIA would launch a TI part, however, what remains clear is that no one knows when. He also adds that RTX 2080 might cost 649 USD and it should be faster than TITAN V (quite a statement if you ask me). He further mentions that RTX 2080 has 3072 CUDA cores, just as we speculated above in Quadro vs GeForce part. Clock speeds According to the same post, new cards easily run at 1920 MHz. Without much hassle you can bump the speed to 2000 MHz. The typical clocks for custom cards should be around 2100 to 2200 MHz. As for overclocking, he claims that you can reach 2500 MHz. https://videocardz.com/77...-3-breaking-the-enigma

I'm also seeing rumors that point to a possible '2080 Ti'. I'll take one for $100 more at most from the current rumored price of the 2080 and call it a day otherwise it won't happen.

Analysts raise and lower price targets as often as most of us change our underwear - take with a huge grain of salt. Will the share price increase? Probably, considering the new architecture and potential sales. Will it double or triple overnight? No, unless they find tech from an advanced civilization which is far beyond out current level and they are able to reverse engineer it.

On the memory front, I think it's pretty assured we'll see 8GB on the 2080 for various reasons (and lookout for a load of "8GB is fine for 4k" guerilla threads/posts shortly).

Lol! “Must.. use... clickbait... title....” wccftech first types “oh, and throw in vague sources... readers love unconfirmed vague sources!!!”
From the article: “Please be reminded that these specifications are very much rumored and in no way shape or form confirmed at this moment.” Maybe they should add “could” into their titles.. “nvidia could launch a gpu”. That removes the clickbait crap.
When has nvidia started with launching a Ti in their flagship lineup? I understand that wccftech just wants the ad revenue, but everything they post just smells of hot garbage while nvidia launches products that wccftech has no clue was coming.
