its just his camera/lighting. I can assure you the copper is very coppery:)

You know, staring at that, it does like pretty silver looking.

nate, remember you dont have to do the plating in your basement:) just take it to your local plating company. none of the big companies plate themselves in house. although if you want to get set up to do it yourself it would be a fun project:) you will be surprised how cheep it is especialy if you give them quantity. if you bead blast then bag it quick you will cut down on peeling problems due to the outside company not cleaning properly.

I know I pm'ed you yesterday. And I figured that today I wouldn't pm you but post here. Any updates? I'm sorry to keep bothering you, but I'm really excited. A couple of the main components are supposed to be here this week and it's got me excited again.

Also, for fun I was playing around with the sandblast/brushed finished.  Any type of logo would look pretty sweet with this type of contrast:

I tried engraving in plastic last night with an engraving bit, and I was not pleased with the outcome.  The shape worked, but I think the plastic raised a bit to much on the outside of the shape.  An end mill removes the material so it looks ok with the end mill, but the engraving bit just didn't work for me the first go around.

Sandblast+brushing looks sweeeeet! And looks silvery in that lighting too ;P

I have pics, but I am being lazy about posting them.  I can do it, I just have to use the end mill.  You pick which one you like better of the 2, the ball nose, or the flat end.

Well you've got to be lazy sometimes. You just can't go-go-go all the time.
Or maybe you can, but I sure can't.

sorry i was offline for a few day's back new triumph's look awesome as always Nate!  Had some issues at home fixed but stretched for now will need to delay some things for those following my progress.
