That’s exActly what happened to me. If we can get a manual firmware update I think it could be fixed. Because right now it thinks it’s up to date.

Since Px 1 now shows the kingpin maybe when I plug the new one in it will update correctly. Weird thing is others didn't have a kingpin and installed ok. Not sure what to do really. Maybe uninstall px1 before I put the new kingpin in.

I started the rma process. Hopefully it will be done before the holidays. How do they request to authorize collateral. do they just used the same method of payment? How long after you submitted your rma did they take to approve it.

No fix from Taiwan. Spoke to Tech support this morning. One option was to uninstall px1 and reinstall and see if it detects the card and wants to do a firmware update again. Can't try it till later in the day. If anyone tries that please update here.

i could not get it to force the update even trying ot uninstall and reinstall using DDU.

Ok good to know that's not an option. Looking like an RMA is the only option. One onther thing we discussed is I could only see gpu temp in ICX. Are you guys see all the various ICX temps or just the 1 temp gpu1?

When I spoke to tech support they said we should see all temps like with the 3090 ultra. there were around 10 temps I could see with my ultra.
Anyone with a working OLED kingpin that can confirm?

I bought an EAR, it's $30 and they are responsible if the item gets lost/damaged in route. I am requesting they move my EAR over to the new card since this is a brand new card. Unrelated to my benches I have a very loud coil whine. Bzzzzzzzz.

OK new kingpin is in!
Turned it on.
New firmware update detected.
I sat in my chair and stared at it for a good 5 minutes trying to decide what to do. Do I hit start or close? Thought long and hard about the consequences if it failed again this close to Christmas. Thought about, do I want a card that can't update it's firmare? Has to be something wrong with the card if it can't update its firmware correctly. Do I want a card that could be an issue in the future and having to avoid updating it for the next decade? I asked myself all of these things and closed my eyes and hit start.
Opened them again and the firmware update progress bar matched the oled this time. It finished in a few seconds and the evga logo came up. Success!! Never thought a firmware update would be this stressful.
So I can confirm if you hang on firmware its an issue with the card and should be RMA'd. If you guys have any questions let me know and I'll do what I can too help.

On thing I'll add, before on the 1st card I set the bios to OC before I did the 1st firmware update. This time I left it on the default bios. Not sure if that was a possible factor but something to make note of anyway. Also noting that I'm drawing more power than the previous card.

It is supposed to have the display. The display can also be put back on with the card naked based on Jay's video. So I would hope any 3rd party block MFG's would incorporate this in their design.

Yup, exactly the same issue here. Installed the card, the LCD was working just great... prompted to install the new firmware and the LCD stopped working. The card itself is working great, but no LCD and limited information displayed in PX1.
I am not sure I want to RMA it, it`s working so good, but so annoying that I can not use that screen and all the functionalities of PX1. Any hotfixes?

Check your perfcap Reason in gpu-z. I noticed my card was having power issues and lots of codes popping up. On my new card theres nothing in perfcap expect pwr now. Could be faulty cards not taking the firmware update.

I think im too late. The option does not show on my card anymore because im already in the rma process. Hoping i wont have to buy it for the new card :) Maybe its worth it. I need to read more on the EAR ds760

Glad to know it worked. Did you do anything to prepare for the install? I hope mine gets shipped today. I finished the RMA early yesterday and its still in "Preparing to ship" status

Yeah I tried the other bios versions to see if that would change anything. Pretty sure the card is just faulty to begin with. Curious if you have anything coming up in gpuz like I did.

Did you have latest version of PX1 installed before you installed the card? Just wondering, so I can follow the same steps.

I read this thread before installing precision. I also came from an ftw3. I uninstalled precision, deleted anything precision related I could find in the registry and in appdata, left bios switch to default, and installed the latest precision and everything worked.
Just FYI, I had a firmware update brick my 2080 Ti Kingpin. Fans didn't spin and lcd died. I contacted evga and they said to wait before rma because an update was coming the next day. Next day I downloaded the new version of px1, updated the firmware, and it fixed everything. Might be worth it to wait and see if a newer kp firmware update fixes any issues.
