I'm currently #9 in the queue, is EVGA seriously only getting 4 video cards a month atm?

I'm hoping that EVGA reserved most of spots to send out cards on Thursday and Friday for the Hydro Copper drop that started on Thursday.  With those items being released recently, I'm thinking they were going to push those out first.  Lets see what Monday holds since I'm sure most who were notified on the Hydro Copper bought them right away.  They should be sold out of stock on that which could leave shipping spots/manpower available to ship/notify on other cards.  Also, don't forget that EVGA holds some cards for RMA, the 4 known notifies could have come from that stock knowing that new stock was incoming shortly.  So if that was the case that would point to a incoming shipment of cards.  There are so many factors that could be the reason only a limited number of cards are available.  Could it be also they diverted stock to prepare of the Kingpin Hydro Copper also?  Only a select few at EVGA know and they are not sharing.

Unless you're an extreme overclocker, I don't really recommend waiting forever for a kingpin since it'll be over half the card's life cycle. I got my Strix which comes on Wednesday on the first Best Buy drop I've been apart of. 3090s last a bit longer, just have the page of 3090 open before the drop starts (Every 2 weeks either on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday  between 8 and 10 AM PST) Just my opinion doh.

This conversation has been done and had. This is just patently misinformation. First of all to counter this logic “It’s ‘over half the cards life cycle’ 

First of all no one truly knows that that life cycle is. Again there are shortages for products everywhere. Things have been shut down for over a year in a lot of places and progression has moved at a snails pace along with manufacturing. See the delays in the hydrocopper? Those are manufacturing delays. Lovelace also experienced this delay in manufacturing. 

You’re about a month or two away from when a 3080ti which is fine. Brings me again to my second point.

Do you think this is seriously going to fix the scalping issues? You’re still going to be waiting in a queue for the 3080 ti. In fact if there’s one positive thing about the kingpin it’s the price point. A lot of people won’t want to order something that’s going to cost them $2,000.
So I’d expect kingpin levels of performance for a card that’s half the price. The queue there is going to be enormous and guess what. There’s still production and manufacturing and distribution issues because of bots and scalpers. 

You recommend some discord or some YouTube channel that notifies you when things get in stock? How long were you actually monitoring those venues? 

Third. I know people in the industry who would be getting their hands on Lovelace. They have all told me that they’ve spoken to their reps about Lovelace. This is a ****post. The reps have told them that Lovelace exists. They’ve also told them that they have no clue when their data centers are going to get their hands on Lovelace. Just because NVIDIA has it finished doesn’t mean it’s ready and keep in mind that you make up a small margin of the business NVIDIA does. A large chunk of their income comes from corporate entities. They’d normally have their hands on stuff like Lovelace already. 
 
They don’t. So lets assume Lovelace isn’t delayed or affected by this manufacturing and supply chain issue. What’s going to happen when they go live and bots snatch them up the instant they’re placed on store fronts? You’ll wind up in a queue again.

Stop using an arbitrary ‘life of product’ as an argument to deter people from staying the course. A ‘life of product’ that YOU define that’s completely subjective to YOU and how YOU were going to use the GPU. Some people might not be looking to leap from Ampere to Lovelace and are actually looking to go from Pascal to Ampere and sit for a while and enjoy Ampere or jump from Turing to Ampere and do the same thing. That’s why ‘life of product’ is subjective.

I only monitored for about a week or so. Also I understand not everyone has the time to sit at a PC all day and that the next gen might not be that soon. Never said it would fix scalping issues it was simply just a recommendation.

Not sure we'll see anything this week unless it's a real drop. I still dont know if we count last week's as a drop or not. If we do, then we'll see 2-3 mid-may. If not, then we might get lucky over the next few weeks and see a real drop (April weeks). Someone posted a historical chart, not sure if that is any indicator of future performance here (likely not). Fingers crossed but... not very expectant.
