X299 Dark is nicer than Z370 series. That's one of 2-3 motherboard I would like to see in my computer. X299 Dark really nice present EVGA Company and difference from others.

EVGA needs to get there matx board else before Asus and be less expensive or the will definitely lose some sales. The Asus board looks great.

Evga stays sold out every time, no matter how late they release, so I don’t think it will hurt them as bad as people make it out.

and? If EVGA make 100 motherboards, sold 100...ok, meanwhile ASUS and gigabyte are the sales leaders. The customer can buy any z370 motherboard, but not the EVGA motherboards...EVGA can made the best motherboards in the world, but you can't buy it yet, that's ridiculous.

That’s part of life. Asus, MSI, and gigabyte also make AMD boards, so they have extra revenue and more factories to pump out their product. EVGA is a significantly smaller company.

I'm not particularly a fan of the design or color of the I/O shroud. Other than that, it looks ok, I guess. The X299 boards though, those are pretty.

IMO, they should have designed the z370 series based on the x299 looks. They indeed are pretty.

my2cents on the EVGA Z370 line up: - no Video-Output on the Z370 Micro, really?!?! - why is a PS/2 port returning on the Z370 Micro? This is not the year 2002... (why only on the Micro???... I hate those archaic connectors) - considering the price of EVGA mainboards, I don't understand why not using the Intel Alpine Ridge controller for Thunderbolt / USB 3.1 Gen2 (keep the ASmedia controllers for the Asus/Asrock plebs - the 2x Killer NICs on the Z370 Classified are unnecessary, Intel NICs are sufficient (better drivers) - I don't get the mixture of 90° angled / non angled connectors across the 3 mainboards. Those 90° connectors are useful, why not use them on ALL boards for ALL connectors (20-pin USB, 24-pin power, fans, HD-Audio, USB2.0,...)? - why are there 8+4 pin CPU-power connectors on the Classified and Micro and just 8-pin on the FTW K (logic)? - no Mini-ITX board this time + the small heatsink on the PCH is sufficient, no need for a heatpipe + the mosfet coolers seems to have a huge surface, should be more functional than just esthetic + the bundled M.2 Intel Wifi module on the Z370 Micro + anti-RGB + detachable I/O shrouds (for those who don't want them) I hope the Z390 refresh will be more better (with integrated Intel WiFi and Intel USB 3.1 gen2). And hopefully without PS/2
Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.

EVGA Z370 Micro will be mATX. I don't know but full E-ATX motherboard somehow fit me more with Intel X chipset. Off course some people want strictly ATX, for me is important only small PCI-E slot to keep sound card. Z370 Micro should be one of more interesting Z370 motherboards on market. I hate when companies during launch time of one platform start to talk about future models, now people more think about Z390 and 8 core than about i7-8700K. But i7-8700K is most interesting Intel's mainstream CPU after long time. After SB-IB people talk and wished 6 core model with less than 100W power consumption and almost 5 years pass in mean time. Now is available and it's expected to be out of stock. Next mounth on New Year discounts prices will be lower I supose, for everything CPU, mobo, memory if someone need and coolers. If Intel recognize Ryzen 7 1800X as better in some of situations than i7-8700K and if they notice people who recommend Ryzen 7 as better for some customers than i7-8700K... Intel will launch 8 core for Z390, but not below 450-500$. In mean time Ryzen 7 1800X will cost 400$ and situation will be like before Ryzen. Not exactly, AMD now have interesting platform and more buyers, but Intel will have some little domination again.

EVGA YOU BETTER GET THIS MOBO REDESIGNED, I've been waiting to upgrade all of my whole computer waiting on you guys to release the Coffee Lake Mobos and WE GET THIS??? WHITE, REALLY? Recommendations 1) Leave it black just like the z270 2) Put the angled 24pin power connector 3) Leave the front panel USB 3.0 connections angled, it's a pain in the ass to have SLI+PhysX and move all those cables with adapters and extend them to the back panel and have more cable visible on the outside of the case. Please don't release this mobo like this, we the consumers are asking you NOT TO...I really wouldn't want to move to ASUS :( ....We prefer to wait for you guys than to get a mobo we don't like, and btw we don't care about RGB, WE CARE ABOUT CABLE MANAGEMENT AND FITTING OUR (deleted) CABLES SO IT LOOKS PERFECTLY NEAT!!!!! EVGA Z370 Classified K board have definitely potential and it's far from ugly board. Only angled 24 pin should be there. ASUS boards with angled 24 pin completely changed looks of some of their motherboards. Apex with 24 pin would be far better. But because Z370 line and i7-8700K from my perspective is more for mATX and Z370 Micro is my favorite mATX board at the moment I can't say nothing negative about EVGA Z370. Yes I would change some things on Z370 Classified K, 24 pin angled, little bigger bottom heatsink, maybe connect bottom heatsink with Port shield and top heatsink... One thing is sure, once installed board will look much different and better inside PC Case.

A PS/2 port is a must for these motherboards. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to lock yourself out of BIOS/WINDOWS with an USB keyboard. A lot of motherboards give the user the option to skip USB initialization on startup which means you can't use the keyboard until you've booted into Windows, locking yourself out of the BIOS. or The user has installed the wrong usb controller driver. Since these get loaded into Windows during boot you've effectively locked yourself out of Windows. The only way around these is to use a PS/2 keyboard or a USB to PS/2 adapter. Tuxedo. sorry, but in my opinion they are ugly
Well I happen to think they look pretty good. Agreed. They look very good and actually unique compared to other manufacturers line up.

I went Asus this time only because EVGA is very late in getting boards out. I am not a fan of the looks of their new z370 line up but at the end of the day, once everything is installed, your not seeing much of the board itself. I got the Asus Maximus Hero X, solid good looking board. I like the built in m.2 heat sink, the subtle RGB lighting and integrated I/O shield but if it starts giving me trouble, I'll toss it and get a Classified K when they are available :D

+1 on ASUS ROG boards looks, but that x299 Dark as seen on Jayztwocents video is one good looking board. Love my ASUS z170 Deluxe due to the white and never consider going enthusiast platform route but that Dark x299 has my eyes fluttering.

Last EVGA motherboard I saw with Voltage read points is EVGA X299 Dark below 24pin. No doubt real OC friendly board. Really stupid because ASUS moved their voltage points for easy reading... Last time they had on Maximus V Extreme and Rampage IV Extreme, later they only left metal contact but you can't keep fixed multimetar on place if you want to work something else. It's good because EVGA keep their traditional reliable connector, same for top GPU models (K|NGP|N) and high class motherboards. People need to start to learn to OC from something, such things are excellent for youngers, to learn faster and how GPU works and how overclock best.
