I created a Windows to Go USB with WintoUSB using W10 1803. It was successfully created, because it works on my old AsRock Z77 board. However, it will not boot on the Dark. Why?

Windows to go isn't like that.

I set the Dark to boot from the USB drive.

So, no one has any idea why it will boot on another PC, but not on the Dark?

Lots of things missing from the information provided thus far. Which USB ports are you using? What kind of USB thumb drive? Do you have other USB thumb drives/storage drives attached externally? Which DARK BIOS version are you using? What exactly is happening (or not happening) when you try to boot from the thumb drive? When you created the drive on the Z77, was it created when running in UEFI or legacy? Let's start there.

EVGATech_LeeM Which USB ports are you using?
AsMedia 3.0 EVGATech_LeeM What kind of USB thumb drive?
Microcenter brand 128GB 3.0 EVGATech_LeeM Do you have other USB thumb drives/storage drives attached externally?
No. EVGATech_LeeM Which DARK BIOS version are you using?
1.06 EVGATech_LeeM What exactly is happening (or not happening) when you try to boot from the thumb drive?
Nothing happens. The Dark sees the USB drive in UEFI, I have it set as the first boot option, but it just boots into Windows as if the USB drive was not there. EVGATech_LeeM When you created the drive on the Z77, was it created when running in UEFI or legacy?
Per the instructions on the WintoUSB link I referenced, it says Legacy. EVGATech_LeeM Let's start there.
What other info do you require?

AsMedia 3.0 The blues or the reds? The ASMedia would be the USB 3.1 Gen2's, and red. Shouldn't make a difference, though, but going back to the blues won't hurt at all. kelkel1
EVGATech_LeeM What kind of USB thumb drive?
Microcenter brand 128GB 3.0 Concerns me a little, given that it doesn't comply with MS's requirements and my own personal experience with Microcenter USB drives.... However, we'll ignore this one for now. kelkel1
EVGATech_LeeM What exactly is happening (or not happening) when you try to boot from the thumb drive?
Nothing happens. The Dark sees the USB drive in UEFI, I have it set as the first boot option, but it just boots into Windows as if the USB drive was not there. Good. That tells us that it's behaving more like a drive that's in the wrong boot order or is in a format that the board isn't picking up. kelkel1
EVGATech_LeeM When you created the drive on the Z77, was it created when running in UEFI or legacy?
Per the instructions on the WintoUSB link I referenced, it says Legacy. Have you changed the boot mode of the DARK to boot from legacy, or is it still set to UEFI? You would go into the BOOT menu, go down to "Boot mode select" and change UEFI (default) to "Legacy". After, restart and reset the boot order priorities.

It will not boot, regardless of BIOS/UEFI settings.
