from what i remember being told, the embargoes this time are like the 3080 the day before the official availability day, so in theory today at some point, if the official is the 10th... so confused i am these days, its an age thing

Ouch - summary of the review is that people are not happy with the card but sure what does that matter if there are none to buy anyway. If its all you can get, its all you can get!

So, just checked. Some reviews leaked. You can find them summarised over at VideoCardz or Daniel Owen on YouTube. He did a decent job of covering it. These are from AIB partners versions, not FE cards.

I posted this on another forum ("Is the 3070 Ti really worth it?") Basically, heres the gist:
3070 Ti is a little over 7% better in gaming performance than 3070
3070 Ti over 9% better in overall synthetic perofmance than 3070
3070 Ti around 22% weaker in gaming performance than 3080
3070 Ti around 18% weaker in overall synthetic performance than 3080
Hope it helps inform your purchase decisions, folks

3080ti over 3070ti is around 20% better performance.
You will pay at least 30% more, unfortunately.

Hey, so I found on another forum on the same thing but on a normal 3080, if they dont stay on all time it seems to be a normal check, if they do and you're not getting any video from it, might be something else.

it's true that this is the way they are operating now. but there are several instances with the 3080 and 3090 where people signed up for notification BEFORE the card's official launch date. I don't think these count at "pre-orders" or "backorders" since no transaction is happening. and not conceptually any different than people lining up at a physical store days ahead of a release. so there really shouldn't be any reason EVGA couldn't open the notification queue a day early.

Yea, the 3070 ti is basically exactly what I was expecting, though in this current market I have interest in it. The only thing i want to know now is EVGA's pricing for the cards, though from the previous launch, I am getting a few ideas.

I think you are allowed to buy like 2 diffrent series of the same GPU for example 3070 Ti FTW3 an 3070 Ti XC3

I have a 3080 FTW3 so I'm in no rush to get a Ti but I will mostly likely buy one at some point in the next few months before BF 2042 comes out.
That said, why is the Ti so expensive compared to the 3080? Has it always been like this with previous non-Ti/Ti releases? I dont remember or is it NVIDIA trying to take advantage of the chip shortages?

The Ti is not thought to be like an "Upgrade" of the 3080, it is more like a speced down 3090 (only like 4% performence loss for 300-400$ less).

This might have already been answered but I have a 700W 80 Platinum PSU. Is that enough for a 3070Ti. I had assumed that its power draw would have been a little bit more than the base 3070 but it's actually a lot more. A jump from 220w to 290w is not nothing!

They stayed on even in windows, i rebooted and it worked.

Yes exactly! I just assumed having the 24 Priority would allow this. Just trying to get more information how the process works. Even tried reaching out to customer support! I NEED THOSE RTX CORES! Literally hurting my work not having them, cutting edge graphics need the newest hardware...
