Bit ironic how some of these accounts with low posts numbers and the literal "New Member" header are trying to gatekeep these GPUs. I am a new member and played the word games a bit + contributed on other posts to become elite because I'm actually interested in getting a card at MSRP without the need to be 0.2 seconds fast at checkout. Plus to make a new account you need a phone number so I'm sure a lot of scalpers and miners are probably making 3 accounts or so due to the hassle which is still bad but better than other stores selling in bulk to a bot.

Lowkey, I am going through forums to flag potential spammers and scalpers trying to reach 100 post
If i m trying to get the elite status just to have a chance to a graphic card at a reasonable price for my gaming pc it makes me a spamer or a scalper?? If so you found one
If you're contributing to threads and not just posting one liners just to up your post count, there's no issue. But the spamming does make the forums cluttered and less helpful for people that use them for knowledge. If you want to boost your count you can go to the general chat section and play some of those word games.
Yep exactly. Dont just put one liner unless if its answer to question that is contributes to the post. And don't spam. I hate it when i see a post where it just say one two word and doesn't answer or doesnt contribute to the post.

3080 ti hash rates were leaked and they are just under 60mh/s so not good value for miners. Buy they might still buy them up hoping that someone cracks the limiter and if not they can just dump the GPU on the 2nd hand market for what they paid or more.

For real, but in my opinion, i feel like the 3080ti is still going to be better balanced for gaming, rendering etc compared to the 3090, even though that thing is a beast

I guess Im just worried on how easy it is to get "Elite Status". I have been an Elite member ever since Evga announced it, and a very long time, loyal customer of EVGA hardware. .... So, by the time that window is opened up on Thursday, potentially thousands and thousands of people could be signing up for the queue, and possibly have another 6-8 month wait (once again)...Trying to be positive, but man, I would have never sold my 1080ti had I known I wouldn't be able to purchase a RTX card (at retail price) for 7 months....
I hope I am very wrong...... On a positive note, I really cant wait to get my hands on a 3080ti (and have a GPU back in my case again)!!!

Honestly, considering doing this as well, though somewhat worried the queue might move slower. I used a closed loop on my CPU last build, and it worked fine. Prior to that I was fairly leery of water cooling due to custom loops. Upgrading from a generation behind you two though, went with tri-SLI 970s last time. It was not a good choice, despite how it looked on paper performance was inconsistent and mostly towards the ineffective side.

Just water cooling solution that significantly lowers the GPU and VRAM operating temperature suitable for both builds water-cooled and not.

Yes, Best Buy, Walmart, and other retail normally carry EVGA GPUs. Not sure if they will on June 3rd though.
