Blambert4 I truly wonder if I would be as excited about this if the GPU market was as "broken" as it is currently. I think a new release gives + the queue system gives me hope that I can purchase a GPU.
Hope or false hope? ;-)

I pity the fool who sleeps through their alarms. You know there's gonna be tens of people who sleep through it minimum if they're on the west coast.

Worried about this, I have sleep issues even normally. As it is, going to try to go to bed extra early and just hope I wake up.

I'm gonna make sure to have my phone plugged in and set another alarm on my alexa. I probably wont even sleep that night. Hope we both wake up and get registered early lol.

JonathanJRod I can squeeze another 100 but no more, ill have to wait and see for the prices, otherwise ill settle with the founders
You're unlikely to be able to get one. Bots are up and running these days, your best bet would be something like trying to score one during a BB drop. The reason EVGA's queues are worth doing is because you actually can get the cards and at MSRP. Frankly, if you have trouble with that pricing, I'd suggest considering the 3070 Ti queue instead. Personally I'm just going to bite the bullet with the 3080 Ti FTW3, this'll cost less than the Zotac 3080 card I almost bought, and be a much better performer. I've failed to even get close to another card otherwise since this started.
Money isn't an issue to me, I am just disappointed. MSRP should have been at least 1k to start and 1.2 for the EVGA FTW 3. Paying 1.5k on a 3080 ti GPU is somewhat crazy when you can game top-notch with a 3080 at 700. You're paying $600 more for a couple more frameworks that can go to a ryzen 5900X or something.
the 1.2k FE price blew my mind too. I had to vent about it on facebook to friends. Guess I'm not eating for a long time lol.
It was definitely a surprise considering the 6900xt sits in between a 3080 and 3090 so you would have thought that nvidia would at least price is just a tad bit above $999 but nvidia instead went full price gouge and went as high as they could without stepping on the 3090 msrp too much. $1099 imo would have been a better starting price so that AIBs could hopefully keep even their top models under or around $1500.
But with the way they started the MSRP at $1200, we will definitely be seeing the likes of Asus and Gigabyte shooting for the moon with prices above $1600 for their custom models. EVGA might be the only ones with a reasonable price bump.
Absolutely! 💯 Anyway, best wishes to all, I will post back to this thread if I manage to snag a 3080 Ti. ✌🏼

Hopefully this hasn't already been asked and answered here. Does anyone know if the RTX 3080 Ti will have VRAM on the back of the PCB?

Yep, and sadly a lot of them are probably double dippers trying to profit by reselling the cards. I do think it would have been better if EVGA made the requirements for Elite a little more difficult to get or at least took away the 100 post count rule. It has made these forums a bit of a joke the past month.

It will not. The current 3080 boards have two empty memory slots to put two gigabytes of g6x. So they're basically reusing the PCBs and just slapping two 1gb modules on the front of the card.

Too late to get rid of the forum post requirement. If they had set the limit to 500, there would just be way more spam.

My suggestion would be to just take the post count out of it entirely and leave it as a loyalty system where you actually have to buy qualifying EVGA products so that at the very least it'll be less appealing to scalpers that are creating multiple accounts. The only saving grace is allegedly EVGA is banning profiles that aren't actually contributing to discussions so maybe the elite pool won't be as bad as I think it is. Either way, I'm just happy I don't need to join a queue but my best friend is still trying to get a card since beginning of October.

Agreed. All the card drop discords are telling their members they can just spam the forums and get in the que early. I don't think the post spam your way into elite is a good idea really. I get that its supposed to be a way for active community members to get in, but its all just spam to reach 100.

Why can't they fix the red light of death issue with the 3090's instead of racking in more money selling cards that will not be in the hands of gamers first but scalpers. EVGA fix the 3090 red light of death...............

Since the cat's out of the bag maybe they could add a weighted element to it. Product registered elites are sorted higher per hour, then old forum accounts pre-elite that were already 100+ are next, then newly minted elites that just got 100 posts since the system was announced. It's not going to happen but would be a way to help out. They might have to wait until after both 3080/3070ti launch days to make changes cuz of legal reasons.

Is there a way to order a 3070ti and 3080ti for the same address? i just sold yesterday my 3080 ftw3 ultra and 3070 asus dual so we now without gpus until i manage to get new ti cards :) (i really must be either brave or dumb but we will see hahaha) 😃

I'm going to try so hard to get one of these. It'll be really out of place with ten year old 2700k but it is what it is. I'm hoping the Intel 12th gen will be more competitive. If not, I'll go with AMD and a 3080Ti by the end of the year.
