Not sure how I feel about EVGA's design styling here with the transparent look, backplate doesn't do much for me either.. Could grow on it I guess. Is the badge RGB? Does the backplate get RGB?

Doubt it...probably 6 times faster in certain parameters but NOT all parameters.

On this video you can see and EVGA RTX 2080Ti XC Ultra with huge cooler and reference PCB.
I belive it will be space for nice overclocking even with air cooler and nice temperatures on mid OC.

It's not beautifull as EVGA Hydro Copper but it's not ugly definitely new EVGA with dual Air cooler.
Most important, waterblocks from 5 companies fit. In mean time waiting nicest waterblock you play games on normal temperatures.

Cards look OK to me. Though must admit it is not EVGA's greatest design choice as visuals do not reflect the price of entry into the 20xx series. All subjective though.
As for J2C's channel.. I believe it's suffering from an identity crisis. It has become more about entertainment than a credible technical resource.

What sort of RGB stuff do they have going on? Logo? Backplate? In the shroud?

I never knew it ever was a technical source.  I can't stand his reviews.  I like a few others that have been in the game a bit longer.

It's not funny, GPU is cool.
No visible heatpipes on side... Cool GPU.
Perfect for waiting Hybrid Kit for reference cooler.

I mean advantage of Hybrid

-20C less temperature
-nice look,
-exhaust hot air
-easier cleaning (much easier you remove dust from 120mm radiator than uninstalling whole shroud, heatsink, cooler, backplate)
-easier removing thermal paste on GPU

But because this Ultra model no big heatpipes it's not bad at all.
Remind me on Noctua.

RTX 2080 worth more, but how much that''s different question.
Maybe 100$ more worth and even most of that is because new technology, not performance difference.
I can't remember when some graphic card stay so good and so long in top as GTX1080Ti.
She will be usefull almost RTX20-Series even after NVIDIA launch 50% stronger card.
For me they are absolutely same.

Someone of EVGA team can show a pic with the temp of EVGA RTX 2080TI XC (dual slot) compared to RTX 2080TI FE standard heatsink in order to see if there is any difference in temp between the two cards?
Thank you.

Pictures from Twitter EVGA iCX2, new Baseplate.

Direct contact of integrated heatpipe from VRM to heatsink finstack.

and this is nice... built in hw monitor for real time power utilization.

EVGA improve A LOT air cooling on graphic cards from ACX period.
