I really never expected Intel to be into the cryptocurrency mining business directly or indirectly but it appears they want a piece of the action. In the patent filing, Intel expects its bitcoin mining accelerator tech would he able to cut power usage by as much as 35%, and could be added to ASICs, SoCs, CPUs, and FPGAs as well. Cryptocurrency mining uses a lot of power so any efforts to save power in my personal opinion is worth a look.

Mining is a use, not a function, it is no different than any way to use a graphics card or co-processor card.  Their XeonPhi are the direct competitor to nVidia's Tesla, but of course GeForce is winning out and Intel has no competitor.  If people think Intel is making a discrete GPU for consumer use with Raja Koduri's hiring, graphics cards do more than render images.

Couldn't a company create an all-in-one solar-powered, battery-backuped, mining device as a single unit?  That makes sense; everything is in the same housing, i.e. the back of the panel, where the only port out is ethernet.

    Editted, thanks kram36

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

Raja Koduri went to Intel, not nVidia.

You will see more and more sites using countermeasures against ad blocking, I have several powerful technologies that can catch all versions of plugins. Removing them makes my sites work properly.

Great way to lose page views. People won't post links to sites like this, so in the end you lose views from people that may not have ad blockers.

Page views with no ads, are not a valid page view. No ads means stealing content.

You obviously don't know how to read and "stealing content" give me a break, that's the most ridiculous thing I have read today and today is April Fools Day.

Copyright law, derived copies are an infringement, so stripping ads is an infringing copy.

I noted that fewer are coming to the site with an adblocker, banned has fallen to 3rd overall week over week. Usually its the highest page views of all.

http://www.hardcoregames.biz/64-bit-pc-games/ is the top page most of the time

http://www.hardcoregames.biz/zotac-gt-710/ is the second place for the bottom card,

http://www.hardcoregames.biz/evga-gt-710/ EVGA's card is in my database but it never gets selected. This is how peculiar Google is from my point of view as a website.

Blocking ads is not an copyright infringement .

When you block people that use ad blockers, you will get less traffic to your site as those people that get blocked will not know the content on the webpage and will not refer the webpage. You're shooting yourself in the foot by doing that.
