Yes, there is no impact to performance or fan performance. It is a fan MCU setting update.

So your fix worked with a high tone. However, a few days later there is now a low tone buzz every 10-15 seconds. What's interesting is that when I boot a game, the 2nd monitor tends to flicker with this buzz until its fully loaded. If it isn't buzzing, the screen isn't flickering.

Any thoughts @EVGA_JacobF ?

I'm getting the same beeping on my 3090 FTW Ultra and am on the latest X1 and updated the firmware. Manually taking the fans down to below 11 stops it. As soon as I raise it higher than that the sound comes back. Any update on a fix for the 3090's? Thanks in advance.

I have 3090 FTW and I am guessing this is what I am hearing as well. I didn't hear it until I switched the bios mode to OC, which enables the fans at idle. I only hear it at idle. I will test fan speed tonight and report back.

Jacob from EVGA and I were going back and forth on Twitter. He gave me a link to download another version of the firmware. You can try it if you'd like. Worked for me and sound is now gone.

Seems like maybe power issue but could be driver related.

Yeah, I had already installed that when I got the card initially and updated the bios - still got the intermittent noise at idle. I don't recall the noise when I was not on the OC bios though, which makes me think it is related to the fans.

Would the bios update flash both the normal and OC bios or are they completely separate? The reason being is that when I ran the update, it was on the normal bios setting.

What he just posted the link to is what you want. It is a newer version. Newer than the one that you originally updated to. The only way you can get the new firmware is using the link above. And yes, it covers both the OC and normal bios. Post #185

It only flashes on the selected BIOS because each one is separate to each other.

Thanks. I will check for updates again when I get home on the OC bios and see if there is one available. It notified me when I first opened it originally, so hopefully there is an update for the OC side of things as well. I'm honestly surprised no one else has said anything on the 3090 side of things on the OC bios and the noise - it is quite loud across a living room.

I used the link he linked to when I downloaded X1 Precision originally, so it is the same version.

Yes, it is the same version as the one on the X1 Precision page - the download link there is exactly the same as the one he posted in this thread and 1.1.0.2 been live since September 21.

Ah, looks like Jacob posted the wrong link. I have 1.1.0.7.

I just purchased a FTW Ultra 3080 and have the 1.1.0.9 tool. No prompt for an update and very bad coil whine.

Fixed.

Thanks. I can confirm the beeping noise appears to be gone after the latest firmware update included in 1.1.0.9 on the 3090 FTW.
