Thanks for the help. Sucks because the original card I RMA'd OC'd to 2145MHz without crashing. Should have just kept it and done the magnet trick. Oh well not a huge performance loss either way.

If you don't use MSI Afterburner and use PX1 are you seeing the same low MHz?

Yeah same results either way.

Yeah that's the beauty of it haha. I wonder if it's possible to replace the AIO on the hybrid with the x62 and get a 120mm AIO/beefy air cooler for the 9700k.

That and a repaste could help bring temps down. But, it's only sitting at 55C under load so it's probably not worth it. I'll just have to take my 2055-2085 MHz and be happy I suppose.

Yep, they make a bracket for that... https://www.nzxt.com/products/kraken-g12-white

Thanks, Sajin. I used one before on my 1080. Wasn't sure if it would fit a FTW3 Ultra. Might start looking into it and swapping the Kraken x62 over to the GPU and finding a good air cooler for my 9700k. Really don't think I'd need a 120mm AIO for it over a decent air cooler.

No problem. Wouldn't hurt to ask nzxt if it will fit or not.

good guide but the problem is you really need a card with no power limit or a very very high one to take advantage.  without it youll be limited to lower voltages

Use the the skin I'm using, and the first line you'll see will be white.

Sorry for the newbie question, but what skin are you using or where do I get it from?, I'm having the same issue as the other person and after doing step 5, the white vertical line isn't showing on mine for some reason, only the yellow line does.

EDIT: Nvm got it working and it's showing now. Won't let me delete this post.

I went and revisited this with afterburner after I found some skins for afterburner that didn't look like they were made 20 years ago. I can get the card stable and clocks will fluctuate between 2200-2190 by locking it at 1.093v. The problem is performance doesn't scale with the faster clock. When testing it with a benchmark, I don't find the performance is better than just running my normal gaming clock of 2130.

I would caution anyone doing this to verify that their performance is scaling with increasing clock speeds. Otherwise you're pumping more voltage through your chip for no reason at all other than an ego boosting clock speed.

To me, the only thing AB has going for it is the OSD just flat out works. I wish X1 used Rivatuner Statistics Server. I can get the OSD in X1 to work, but its flaky at best and will often crash a game if I try to minimize or expand the window my game is running in.

Whats the difference between trying this and just raising the voltage slider and trying manually to find the highest clock for the highest voltage point? If you lock the curve will my clocks stay higher?

Im using a manual afterburner curve and the highest i can get with my ftw3 ultra 2080 ti is +130 at 1.68.Trying to go higher at 1.93 doesnt help me.Average gaming clocks are 2040-2055 at 63 degrees with default fan speed.

This method allows you to force the highest possible voltage 24/7. Yes, if your temps are low enough and you aren't hitting the power limit.

Hello Sajin. After following your guide I was able to get my card at 2.1ghz at 1.093v. I believe I did everything correctly. However, after I launch a game my voltage and frequency both start to go down. After looking at some other members' results on this forum, I don't think this is supposed to be happening. Am I missing something or doing something wrong here?

Thanks in advance.

Your temps are most likely too high.

So other than going water cooled, there's no way to keep it at a constant 2.1ghz?

Correct, unless you can get your hands on an xoc vbios for your card that disables gpu boost.

Sorry but I'm very new to flashing a bios as I've never done it before. Doing some research, I see that you're currently running a 380W vbios? Does that vbios disable gpu boost? I've been looking for a way to get rid of gpu boost for a while now. As my temps are perfectly fine for running at 2.1ghz+. Im running a 2080ti Asus ROG STRIX, if that matters.

No, the 380w vbios doesn't disable gpu boost.

Not sure if it disables gpu boost though.

If I do flash my bios, all I would have to do is run a game or benchmark and see if gpu boost is still enabled? There's no other setting I would need to tweak?

What is max voltage on a "standard" 1080?

I can reach 2100Mhz stable (2 hours of BFV) and 2150Mhz for bench (superposition 4715 points Extreme) on my Inno3D GTX 1080 X2 with standard OC in Afterburner.

The card is cooled by Kryographics Pascal 1080 and temp are fine (42°C with 375l/h Flow, 2700X @4.0Ghz in same loop).

Yesterday i close bench with 2200Mhz @ 1.093v forced by this tutorial but i would try to go more...

Can someone help me with voltage?

Thanks
